Love the blues this month!
I’d say my Crochet style would be Casual. All the yarn on the picture is so pretty! Thank you for the opportunity!
Modern vintage is my style with a twist of soul for flavor.
My knit style is devoted and excitable. I choose one project and get super hyped over it. I make it my reward. After all my responsibilities are seen to, I’m allowed to knit some rows. I look so forward to it that I plow through my daily grunt just to grab onto those needles. Every new row done, every bit closer to being an accomplished piece, my excitement bubbles up and up, I want to pop from joy. So yes, a devoted and excitable knitter.
Describing my style colorful, relaxing and focused, “Relax-a-daisy” I like to get my pressing things for the day completed; grab a hot rich coffee with creamer and salty snack; I then, want to focus on my chosen project, usually having a few going; then I can relax and hopefully create something colorful, textured and cozy; After working a while I can “doze” while knitting. Very pleasing state-of-mind.
Eclectic -I love playing with colors and textures as my brain allows!
Usually I make what ever the grandchildren want.
But on the odd occasion I can make what I want i would say joyful.
Well making for my grandchildren is joyful, so maybe fulfilling.
I just love to knit and crochet.
I’d describe my style as “Ambitious”, I’m always biting off more than I can chew when starting my weaving or crochet projects 😅.
my fiber arts style is engulfing because I can get really focused on a project and not want to put it down, and I am LOVING. these. BLUES <3
I think I would describe my style as grounding. I don’t knit or crochet to impress or to prolifically create, I make things to decompress, to remind myself to breathe. And if when I give something I’ve created away and it is appreciated, I feel a quiet happiness.
Meditatively centering
Relaxing
These are my favorite colors ❤️
A little impulsive. I see a project i like and buy the yarn to do it. Got a few projects waiting to even be started.
Relaxed…
My school colors, middle school, high school and college. I still love them. Blue sky’s, day dreams. Lovely yellow, full of energy and spirits.
The style of my crochet is advanced, while my knitting needs developing furthermore.
Do we ever really finish learning? I am constantly picking up a new crochet skills and I’ve been at this hobby over 40 years! Plus, I love that sense of accomplishment when I complete a project. This stash would be so amazing! I could make some many projects with all that gorgeousness! All the blue and yellow hues, reminds me of the warmth of sunshine on my shoulders on a blue sky day!
Look at all those blues, greens and grays! Right up my alley! I don’t know if I could describe my crocheting style. I do know that I start and stop projects on a whim, and will work multiple projects at a time, just to keep any boredom from setting in. I also think about who I am making something for, and try to match the pattern, yarn, and colors to their personality.
I think I’d describe my knitting style as impulsive.
I see a pattern or yarn I like and I get hooked very quickly and can’t stop thinking about it till I have it on my needles. I have a few WIPs at once.
My style of crochet, I would say picky! I want my stitches perfect! I do a lot of frogging because of this.
The colors in this months giveaway are stunning!!! They are “my colors”.
Weaving!
does “trying my best” count? XD
Slow and steady
Hello, these colors are right up my alley! Yummy blues🥰. I would say my crochet is relaxing, while my knitting is slow and steady.
Winging it!
Old school I suppose since I learned both in the 60’s. I do love learning new things with your patterns.
My knitting style is Continental.
My crochet style is….idk, my Grandma taught me how she crocheted over 50 years ago, so however she did it. 😆
I don’t do either near as much as as I like, especially lately as I was recently diagnosed with TN (trigeminal neuralgia) which makes living hard to do some days. It has effected my eyesight as well, so makes it hard to especially challenging. But boy, do I have projects ready for when this flair up gets better.
BTW, today, 10/7, is National Trigeminal Neuralgia Day. ❤️
My crochet style is probably best described as, “I’ll get it done….eventually.” LOL I love my crafts, but boy do I have trouble finding time, and staying focused on one project/yarn at a time 🙂
My crochet style would best described as nice and slow, it will get done eventually 😁. Love all the different blues in this giveaway ❤️🥰
My one word knitting style would be “interest.” It needs to have texture or colorwork or something to keep me interested. I get bored with things like “knit every stitch until measures 8 inches.” I recently discovered mosaic knitting and I love it!
With care
With care
I never win🥺… But you can’t win if you don’t try❤️
my style – bountiful
slow lol
I suppose the word ‘style’ can be interpreted in different ways, so here goes. I generally have a preference for cool and muted colors. While I can appreciate warm, bright colors, they aren’t something I enjoy living with. Also, if making something for myself, I tend toward the casual/utilitarian, saving more complicated and intricate work for projects for others. Do much for a word or a sentence. 😊
Cozy- I like to have a warm cup of tea and wrap in a blanket and just knit away!
My knitting style? Hhhmmmm, spontaneous? It’s whenever the urge strikes me.
I’ve never really thought about my style because i make so many different kinds of things. I get bored so i have to have several projects going at once. I like to be challenged in my projects. Now that I’m spinning, I’m thinking about crochet differently.
Knitting: Reliever from stress, boredom, anxiety, chaos. Celebration of completeness, accomplishment, perseverance. The best solution for all situations.
I am the squirrel running around trying new things.😄
My style is beginner.
I think I would describe my crocheting style as romantic and purposeful. I prefer to crochet garments and accesories.
I’d say it’s random. I love trying out different things. From shawls and sweaters to flowers and table runners, I’d do anything as long as it makes me feel good.
If I Had to describe my crochet and knitting in one word it would be SANITY. it keeps me balanced and peaceful.
I would describe my style as whimsical. I love playing with fun colours and textures.
Classic yet modern style.
My crochet style in a word is… evolving. I used to do a lot of amigurumi, and I still do, but wearables are increasingly coming into the picture. My knitting style is fearless. I’m very new to knitting and jumped headfirst into socks. I definitely don’t know what I’m doing quite yet. But I’m learning and growing and getting faster.
Knitting and crocheting style would be a peaceful quiet escape where I recharge before going about the rest of my day
My knitting style would be purposeful or giving.
I love knitting all the things!
I would describe my style with the word “harmonising “
Seasonal 🩷 not just matching the season, but sometimes it’s intense, other times I don’t do much, depending on the season of our family.
My style is definitely… Eclectic! Modern, vintage, traditional, I like it all!
You have the best give aways. It’s mind blowing. Thank you
My knitting is slow but methodical!
I love you crochet and knit. My style would be hip and fresh. I love all colors and they all have a purpose ✨️
I would say my crocheting style is eclectic. I like to try everything once!
Peace
I would describe my knitting style as Continental.
Forgotten Forrest
My knitting & crochet style n a word … arthritic! Haha. I love basic to Tunisian & everything in between. 🥰
Aspirational
You’re giving me the blues in a good way😁.
Delusional!!! I always think I can do a pattern or design that requires patience and precision. I always say I will follow the pattern precisely! I am always wrong!!
You have the most beautiful yarn I’ve ever seen! Thank you for all you do for all of us yarn lovers!
My style word would be “loose”. I have a very loose hand. No tight crocheting for me, lol.
I would say my knitting style is peaceful. Just escaping into the rhythm of the needles is very soothing.
Variety; it’s hard for me to do the same stitch or row again and again, I need changing patterns, stitches and colors to keep me excited for the next step.
Well, Dad always told me I am maybe not good at a thing but I am too stubborn to quit! The goose! LOL But, he DID know me well. I am a methodical knitter and crocheter. For me, it is all about the process and I plug away through the difficult bits until I get the result I am looking for.
I guess I’d describe my style as “impulsive” because I keep starting new projects!
As I commented on the FB post, these are my very favorite color combos. It is like they were made for me. Sun and water…the perfect lazy afternoon. I have so much EFA yarn yet to be worked up, I can stay busy for a while, but these, they outshine all the rest.
Ooh nice focused color palette!
My style is adventurous. I get bored with doing the same thing over and over, so my projects usually have to have a good amount of change and excitement in them if I want to finish them!
My knitting style would be…..classic, timeless.
My style is ‘Knitting Addict’ ! Can’t ever get enough knitting time and that’s all I want to do in my spare time lately! Love the colors 😍!
My knitting style is Subtle
My crochet style would FOMO. I can’t keep still with one project because there is always another beautiful one to start. If I don’t start right then and there, then I feel like I am missing out on a great opportunity.
Blues, greens, yellows and greys! Wow, just imagine what beautiful things will be crocheted and knitted with all this yarn! Defiantly time for a crochet party. My crochet style is relaxed and confident and I love trying out new stitches. On the other hand, my knitting style is anxious with LOTS of frogging with a sprinkling of 🤯. I’m working on trying more knit projects so I can become as confident as when I crochet. 🤞🙏
Adventuresome — like to always try a new pattern and new stitches/techniques.
My style. In knitting is taking a chance on something new. But get intimidated easily with something that i have never done before
I love to knit with bright bold colors
Beautiful colours!
My knit and crochet style in one word would be malleable, because it can change on a whim.
Erratic.
Tight 😂 I once helped a friend post her “Crochet Loosely” song on the internet. Too bad I have been unable to follow her advice..
My knitting and crochet styles, plus my cooking style is love in every stitch/morsel!
Beautiful selection. My crochet is definitely chaotic, not only do I tend to sometimes tweak a pattern randomly if I don’t think I like the way it’s done but also just doing it happens randomly too. One of my sayings is “oh look, a chicken!” which translates so being highly distractible lol
Learning to count over and over again 😄😄
THERAPEUTIC…I am new crocheted and I find it to be THERAPEUTIC to my soul, mind, spirit , and physically also. Love watching you to learn more.
Emotional support yarn…
Those colors are wonderful. My knitting style is habitual and comforting.
The phrase I would use to describe my crochet style is comfortable. I love *all* of the soft, cozy, and cuddly things!
I love the color combination!
I’d describe my style as careful but ambitious because I’m still new at it. I’ve been crocheting finished objects since January and working on a first knitting swatch right now. I want to make beautiful things like my grandmother did. Off to search the site for these colors.
Peaceful, and grounding
Knitting should be comfortable and stress-free. I do it in my cozy knitting chair with a warm drink in the fall or winter. In the summer, I like to spend time in the garden or by the sea.
Unbridled
Excessive, but in a good way. 😁
I crochet and would call it my artistic ability while other crafts don’t always flow for me this does.
My style are projects that unique in design and or color. I let the yarn tell me what it wants to become. Sometimes I buy yarn becuase I love it with no pattern in mind. A year later I may see a pattern and know instantly I will use that yarn I bought a year ago. I’m a relaxed no hurry crocheted who does this to decompress and get out of my head. I love finished items as it’s so fulfilling!
Has big ideas and not enough time to accommodate them.
I love those colors!
I’ve been crocheting for over 15 years but only really dove into knitting in the last year so I’d describe my style as adventurous. Every project I learn something new!
Peaceful
My crochet style: couch and Netflix binging style!!!
Soothing
Eclectic, colorful and one of a kind.
I really think that my crochet work is a reflection of who I am and how I feel and what is going on in my life. From the choice of the patterns, materials and colors to choosing a recipient for the finished object, I really see it as a form of expression, a way to show love, compassion, friendship, a way to connect with others. And so much fun too! 😁
Happy October, Chandi and Tim! My knitting style is basic, blankets, shawls, socks with no heels. Not adventurous. 🌻
Just STUNNING – these are MY colors!
Eclectic! Love to explore techniques, styles, and designers.
My continental knitting style has been described as dainty. Love these colors!! Thank you’
Mindful
I would describe it as determined! Once I start a project, I am usually determined to figure it out and finish (eventually, lol, sometimes it takes picking things back up years later to finish!)
I’d say my crochet style is casual. Great collection of colors for this giveaway!
My crochet style in one word would be “creative” or it could even be ‘expressive’ as in self expression. I like to crochet without patterns often.
Relaxing
Obsession
I am so addicted to the textures, the mathematical shapes, the colors, the meditation, repetition, artistic choices, and adventure. It’s a very personal experience and yet, there’s a connectedness to a global community. It transcends language barriers and cultural differences. It is the best obsession that one can be afflicted with
I would definitely say my knitting is chaotic. I always have multiple projects, get bored, frog things instead of finish. I’m always changing my mind.
My style is pink and pretty, but currently going through a teal phase. Also dogged determination to get projects finished so I can cast on again.
Wow! These color ways are so inspirational! Thank you for all you do for the fiber community.
My birthday month, and beautiful colors! My knitting and crochet style? Whatever moves me at the time!
Unique color choices for this months’ giveaway!
I don’t really know how to describe my style. Experimental maybe? It depends on my mood and inspiration. Some times it’s just a simple swatch to learn new stitches, other times it’s trying out new color combinations or I’m working up a blanket.
Well, my kids seem to think I’m basically doing some kind of magic, so magical!
My style – intense! When a project is underway it becomes a high priority, even without a deadline.
And as an aside – those blues and golds are music to the ears of Notre Dame and U of Michigan fans!
I’d probably call my knitting intricate. I do a lot of lace and cables because I like them and it helps me stay focused on my project.
My knitting style is ambitious.
My style might be called methodical and relaxed.
Liberating!
I would say practical. I like making things that will be used and appreciated!
My crochet style can be described as… obsessive. 🙂 I have my project bag with me nearly everywhere I go. If I have some down time, I have time to crochet.
I would say evolving. Even though I have been knitting and crocheting since I was a child, I am always keen on learning something new.
Knitting and crocheting what I can and how I can between the baby naps 😂 the yarn is gorgeous!💕
I love to knit bright and textured pieces that are still closet staples! Dip stitches, lace, cables, all my favorites.
I love to knit bright things with many textures! Cables, dip stitches, lace…
I would describe my style as relaxed. My knitting time is my unwind time.
slow…
Love love love the colours. So calming yet with a spark like a star with the yellow. My mind’s already going over all the gorgeous patterns Chandi has and which I would be making. My crochet style… I think it is best described as nostalgic and timeless. Blankets and wraps and such that could also have been made by my grandmothers and lay side by side with the things they made. Still modern but with a link to the past.
My knitting style is “anxious about the sizing” 😀
My crochet style: Evolving, ever changing, ever growing. My first true crochet project was a Christmas tree skirt my mother in law was going to make me as a present. She passed away before she had the chance. I picked up her yarn and pattern, determined to make it. I learned how to read a pattern and yes I did make that skirt and many more. Went to shawls and wraps, beach covers, purses, and making my own clothes. Always trying something new, learning still. Even if a pattern makes me nuts, it’s my relaxation.
If I could describe my knitting/crocheting style in one word/sentence, I would say contradictory – I like both the complicated stuff (complex colorwork, all over cables) to make my mind think as well as the simple stuff (miles of stockinette) when I don’t want to/can’t think.
Over thought. I see a pattern, look up everything I can about the pattern, try to find tutorials if there’s something I don’t understand, think about it some more, forget about it, see it again, then start it. LOL I have never finished anything in less than 2 months. LOL
Eclectic for sure! I go with the moment 🙂
In brief, my crochet style is casual but enthusiastic!
My knitting and crochet style can be described as adventurous creative. I love process of taking beautiful fiber and creating a fabric which is turned into an item. I’ve been knitting and crocheting for many decades now and enjoy the challenge of learning a new stitch or trying something different in the process.
I would say my crocheting and knitting styles are impulsive. I will just start knitting or crocheting, and then 10 rows later, I will see a mistake. Sometimes I do it again. I still love it and maybe now that I am retired, I will take my time.
If I had to describe my knitting/crochet style in one word or sentence it would be…”too many projects always half finished” lol.
My style would be cosy, comfortable, chaotic, unpredictable, colourful, variable, repeatable, challenging and creative outlet for my soul.
Percrastination crunchtime. I’ll start, then end up doing things that pull me away from knitting or crocheting. I realize I want to finish the project or start something else, so I’ll set a random deadline to finish by.
Hmmm. This one gave me pause. One word describing my knitting and crocheting style? Journeying. I love the research of fitting a pattern and yarn together. I like learning (even when I’m cussing), watching the object take shape and then the reward of a finished item to keep or share.
And, OH MY! This month’s giveaway is completely and perfectly my life palette. The gorgeous shades of blue with a splash of contrasting cheery yellow. Swoon!
My style is random and not consistent. I need to finish things!
Since I mostly crochet I’d describe it as looking more complicated than it really is. My knitting I’d describe as slow..LOL
Crochet is my self care. I love all the really complex and colorful patterns, but I have figured out I will really finish the simple and cozy patterns.
It is hard to not have several WIP’s but the colors, textures, and either knitting or crocheting are very calming and I need that very much. Being able to zone out in a peaceful state of mind.
I would describe my knitting and crochet style as “rhythm & flow”. I had always wanted to knit smoothly like I saw grandmas in movies, like their hands carried them more than their head. Then I saw my teacher crocheting for the first time and she literally gave me a hook and a little bit of her crazy big amount of yarn and said “here, learn”. I’ve always wanted to feel like the movement was natural, smooth, that rhythmic design of the relationship my hands have with each other demonstrated in a piece of artwork. It has to feel human, patient, and yet deliberate in working a piece that is recording the memory in its fibers.
mon style de tricot est simple et intemporel. Toujours de superbes couleurs. Bravo
My knitting style can be described as snail-paced.
I guess my crochet style would be called a process because I am always learning and doing something a little different each time.
What a wonderful colorway this month! Reminds me a bit like the moment the sun shines right before the sun goes back to being cloudy and ominous…
In one word, I guess my style would be… “conventional”? I rarely make something that’s very creative or “out there”, but I always love the results and enjoy wearing it…
Peace
I have absolutely fallen love with all of the colors you have. I placed my first order a couple of weeks ago and I’m currently impatiently awaiting its arrival.
My knitting and crochet style, I consider it to be chaos goblin. I dont swatch, I dont really pay attention to tension and I absolutely don’t know what I’m doing. I am still learning lol.
🤣👍🏼 “Chaos goblin” Too cool! Just had to say something.
My style is to pay forward with charity crocheting and occasionally make a knit project. I love yarn!
I posted your contest in Toni Lipsey’s Yarn Hive this morning. We loved the interview you did as our guest speaker. I know they’ll “bee” lots of entries and $10 discounts to apply to purchases.
So many items I plan to knit but not enough time!
Relaxing would be the word.
I would say my style is eccentric
My crafting style is technical. I want to execute the stitches exactly as described in the pattern. I won’t *always* frog/tink if I don’t get it right, but if a man galloping by on a horse could see it (or one of my Knit Knight™ buddies), I’ll redo it no matter how much I have to take out.
I would call knitting and crocheting the paradox of insanity because you can do the same thing every row and still come up with less stitches than you were supposed to have. Then you frog it and do it again and somehow come out with more. It’s still the most peaceful hobby I have.
Adventurous! Every new project I want there to be a new technique that I have to learn!
Creative and impulsive
My knitting style is relaxing. I also knit for my loved ones and friends because I can give them something handmade. I knit quite a few dish clothes as a result. I have also knitted several scarves. My most rewarding knitted scarf was a Mosaic scarf done with wool yarn. I was able to give it to my sister for her birthday.
Knitting is soothing, mindful, focused, creative, imaginative, beautiful, frustrating,,confident, satisfying, victory!! Those are only a few words that could describe the art of knitting. It some ways it brings us closer to God. Prayrt shawls, every stitch or purl is a prayer.
My style is fit for my mood!
I think I would describe my style as ‘in progress’. With each item I make I’m either trying a new pattern, a new stitch, or a new yarn. I’m not a fan of making the same thing over and over again. I like to explore pastures new, to stretch and challenge myself, so I’m always learning, always ‘in progress’.
I would describe my style as random and adventurous. I learned something new with every project and have only recently expanded my taste into what I call fancy yarns. You’re offerings are exquisite and I am saving my pennies to afford my first foray into your incredible color selections
My style is dreamer because my skill level is beginner but I’m drawn to advanced projects
Adventurous – I always love to try new techniques.
My knitting style varies depending on where I’m at in life. Sometimes I’m full of the thrill of learning new things even after 50 years as a knitter, and sometimes it’s the relaxing movement of yarn through hands; however, lately it’s felt very driven because I sell some of my handiwork and Christmas is a-coming …
Hi Chandi! Thank you for this opportunity to participate in the October giveaway. I would describe my knitting and crochet style as “slow and steady gets each project done!”
Chandi, you are generous in so many ways – thank you!
Crocheting is time out for me. A time to stop thinking of the outside world and relax.
Oh I need this color extravaganza to go with my blue hair. This color palette reminds me of snow white. Simply divine!
I would say simple and meditative. I try to make pieces that are personalised and useful for those they are gifted to.
Thanks for everything!!!
Experimental.
And what a stunning giveaway!
If you had to describe your knitting or crocheting style in a word or a sentence, what would it be?
It would be something useful that I like. I love sweaters.
My style? Erratic. I fall in love with a skein then race to find a project. But because we are in the car a lot, I jump from car-safe projects to non-car-safe projects – flitting like a drunken butterfly.
The best way to describe my knitting and crocheting style would be….. homely. I love to make items for our home, but also for us. I’m currently on a sock fest (which the whole family are enjoying!). 😃
Easily distracted- so many WIPs
Peaceful daydreams
Baffling? Can I say my knitting style is Baffling?
I almost never follow patterns, although I love poring over them for inspirations. I often just begin knitting or crocheting with no real plan in mind, other than a vague concept like “sweater” because of a stitch pattern I saw in a scarf, or “fun fur” because that crochet lace wedding dress really should have been fuzzy, or “swap” because why shouldn’t an anteater have leopard spots, and penguins have zebra striped chests, and a peacock tail have mouths instead of eyes? With something as absurd as that for a starting point, I concoct a few diabolical experiments, and eventually a slightly more coherent plan emerges, so I just make decisions as I go, and hope they’re the right ones.
Yep, I’m sticking with baffling as my word.
Meanwhile, this collection is so perfect for me. I love Blue. I Crazy Wild LOVE Blue. But the other shades are so perfectly complementary, it just gets my wacky creative juices flowing. Thanks for your constant generosity.
sporadic
Right this moment, I would describe my style as haphazard. LOL
There is so much going on for me right now that I’m not getting a whole bunch of time to crochet. Sometimes I just look longingly at my crochet bag wishing I had five minutes to sit down. It’s coming though! My time is coming! 🙃🤞🏻🤣.
Calm and relaxing
Pretty. I love your yarn.
Struggling but enjoying
Oh dear Om, those colours! It’s as if you chose them just for me 😀
My knitting style is … all-encompassing. I want to knit All The Things!
Probably the best word I can use to describe my crochet style is experimental. I like making lacy accessories and items with varying textures. I love how a change in fiber blends, yarn weight or hook size can affect results in crochet and create such differences using the same stitches or patterns.
Not great… but improving!
Relaxing I would say. But also somewhat practical. It’s a way for me to disconnect and relax, but at the same time I knit things that are practical to use.
My style is loving, I make lots of things for my grandchildren and put live in every stitch ❤
simple and precise
Nothing but loviness!!!
Chandi my one word knitting style is “anticipation “. I knot to gift give. Thank you.
Relaxed, comfy, and varied. I like to make it all but really like garments and accessories. Im still perfecting garments, sometimes they just dont look good on me but oh well it was fun to make. Haha
Joy in creating, knitting, and giving.
Stress buster and relaxing!!!
Sustaining! It keeps me going through challenges in my life.
For me, it’s all about the journey. From washing the raw wool, combing and carding, spinning into yarn, dyeing the yarn (optional), choosing a pattern, then knitting or crocheting, and finally washing/blocking the finished item.
Relaxing is the word I would use to describe my knitting style. As i have gotten older, I am less adventurous with the patterns I select, thus slowing down and not concentrating so hard on my knitting.
Thanks for the opportunity to win such beautiful yarn!
If a project interests me I am willing to take it on. I want the challenge!
My knitting style in one word is addictive. I knit every day, some days for hours listening to an audio book. Truly love the beautiful colors in the giveaway 🧶
Knitting is life!
My knitting style is COLORWAY. I love colors and trying new versions of mixing colors to make beauty.
I think I would describe my knitting as colorful and calming. I love the process of creating something and it calms my racing mind. I love the colors of yarn, the texture and feel, yes, but the colors make me happy as they show themselves from the inside of the ball 🧡
My knitting style is addictive. I just can’t stop!
My style is obsessive. It’s hard for me to stop once I start.
Spending hours figuring out the percept next project and colors to go with it!
Eclectic… I jump from project to project using different weights of yarn and various colors.
Beginner
Slow. Very slow!
Cozy gifting. Almost everything I make is to share my love with others.
Impulsive texture.
That is even more true when i spin my own yarns for projects. No one knows what any of the yarns i buy or make will become, and sometimes they dont find their becoming for near a decade. Then suddenly a project speaks to them and bam!
I just wish I had more time to crochet.
Style I guess would be slow & steady, I don’t like to rush that way I can focus on each stitch, and enjoy the beauty of every bit of the yarn that passes through my fingers – the colors, texture & feel of it.
My style is best described as ADHD. 5 minutes on this project. 5 on that one… Back to a different one….
My style would be slow and thoughtful!
My knit and crochet style could best be described as always growing.
Random!
I’m not sure what my style is but I like more traditional garments and want to knit everything but don’t have the time! I also get easily bored once I get the pattern figured out. But sometimes I really really want the end masterpiece so I do keep knitting
Cumulative. I tend to choose patterns that have new stitches or techniques I’ve never done before so I can build on my skills.
Beautiful selection of giveaway colours this month!
Peaceful, tranquil and calming.
Slow and steady
Practical and timeless I would say. My projects vary from simple but elegant to colorful and timeless like my fair Isle sweaters.
Crochet to me its feminine, delicate and whimsical so granny cardigans and oversized shawls is usually what’s on my hooks.
Yes…. my style is ” as long as it’s not boring…”
Love the question. Thanks for making me stop to think about it!…
I would call my crochet style wearable. I love making garments, both for myself and my friends and family. It is so nice to give a handmade gift, and also to wear the art I have created. Thank you all at EFA for the wonderful products you create, and the positive vibe you bring to the crochet and knitting community.
Uplifting🙏
I’d have to describe my crochet style as “experimental”. I’m always trying different patterns here lately or trying one specific pattern with many different yarns to see how they turn out or how colorways work up.
My style would be a combination of of very classic designs and quirky designs—something with an unusual shape or patterning.
I love to knit, and I’d say my style is usually calm and steady, with some occasional bouts of anger when I have to frog something, lol. I am also easily distracted by starting new projects! What an amazing giveaway this month, thank you!
My knitting and crochet style… juggling!
I always have too many WIPs going, and my brain is constantly planning NEW projects. My Queue is longer than my lifespan!
I’d call my knitting “punctuated equilibrium”: long stretches of regular knitting of a few rows a day, punctuated by bouts of frenzied output or complete cessation. 😀
these days, I would describe my knitting time to relax and unwind
‘Pleasureful’ 💕
No one sees the mistakes but me, keep going!
My knitting style is stop and start. I started knitting when I was 8 (70 years ago) and knitted some beautiful sweaters. Then I got busy with school, a demanding career and children and barely picked up my needles. Once I retired, I had time to knit once more. If I find a pattern that I love, I get excited about knitting. And I have knitted scarves for my son and son-in-law and an adorable baseball sweater for my granddaughter. My favorite projects were the two Papillon shawls that I made.
I am a confident knitter who likes different types of projects.
My style is methodical. Every step of the way is documented and noted on, calculated, planned and carefully stiched
Adventurously varied
Renewing
I don’t know that I have a particular style yet. I learned how to truly crochet just a year ago. I learned in high school (back in the early 90s) but wasn’t really good at it. I was more of a knitter, but didn’t take time to hone my skills.
Crochet is an obsession for me now. I take my craft bag with multiple projects in it EVERYWHERE! I’ve learned how to read most patterns and have made washcloths, coasters, shawls, fingerless gloves, and more. Now I’m working on a dress for my toddler granddaughter and a matching hat with a cute bow.
I’m always looking to learn new stitches and new patterns. I enjoy trying out different yarn bases.
Crochet is my happy place. It keeps me calm in a chaotic world. I sip my hot tea, listen to an audiobook, and relax with my projects.
My crochet style can be summed up as ‘heart and soul’. I always make gifts and I put my heart and soul into each piece.
Colorful!
My style would be called “Zen”. Because that’s what crochet does for me.
My gift to myself!
I would describe my style of crochet as “When inspiration strikes!” And my knitting style as “That looks fun, we’ll see how it goes!” I am definitely more apprehensive with knitting than crochet but I’m liking the differences between the two crafts and I know I’ll gain more confidence as I continue on my crafting journey. Crochet has been in my life for decades and there is nothing that scares me with crochet (don’t like, sure, but not scared).
If I had to describe my knitting style in a word it would be folksy!
My style is definitely eclectic!
I’d describe my style as “curious”… I’m not project/finished item motivated but skills/learning motivated. I LOVE to create and stretch my wings by trying new things
Changeable …. I am always learning, adapting, and, in essence, changing.
I love knitting! It’s makes me Happy Happy Happy!!!
I would describe my knitting style as flighty, because I usually have 4 or five projects going at once. I flutter from one to the other, like a butterfly fluttering through a field of wildflowers 😊
For crocheting, my style is WIPS, WIPS, and more WIPS because I like to try a lot of different yarns and patterns. For knitting, my style is total beginner learning the basics, but excited to gain enough skills to make a cool project.
My style of knitting is calm and relaxed. I get bored easily so prefer patterns with stitches new to me, with lots of color interest.
My style is eclectic. I love doing traditional crochet, like granny squares, filet, doilies, but then get the whim to do cutesy–toys, doll clothes, amigurumi.
Joyful
Relaxing…..creative…..expressive…..love working with colors.
Necessary and calming would describe my style.
Relaxing. Knitting grounds me and keeps me focused.
Love Love Love!
I am a Fearless Beginner! I started to crochet for PT for my hands and I fell in love with it all over again. I had not crocheted since I was a teen, and I am well past those years now 🙂
There is no stitch I will not try. From thread to super bulky, I just love the feel of the yarn passing thru my fingers.
Bliss!
I would call my knitting/crochet style Dragon. I love to hoard all the pretty yarns and the things I make with them.
I was just glancing at the comments before I left the store and saw this. I love it! “Dragon!” What a cool and clever description. 🌞👍🏼🌞👍🏼🌞
My style, in one word…..trying
Knitting or crocheting, relaxing
VERSÁTIL!!!
my style: at the moment, Beginner’s Fumbling. I’m getting better! Very slowly.
Healing. I started crocheting to heal loss of feeling and control of my hands, jumped into knitting with mosaic knitting and your patterns have challenged me ever since. I’ve done almost all styles now; lace, cables, colorwork, mosaic, sweaters, lots of shawls, hats, scarves. I think all that’s left is socks and entarsia. So thank you for helping me heal with this amazing yarn and patterns
Opportunistic.
Relaxing
My crochet style is cozy.
Satisfying!
My style is continuous. I am always building on my experience of knitting, crocheting, spinning, sewing. I love yarn and those from EFA are some of the best colors, bases, feels, and the patterns greatly express all these things.
Adventurous!
Intentional
Product knitter – I enjoy the process too, of course, but I mostly want natural fiber items that fit
My knitting/crochet style is whimsical! I love making items that have unique constructions or flashy patterns, and bright colors are my absolute favorite.
Creativity, problem solving, and love
I would say my style is generous squirrel. I love making things for others but I have little patience so I like to start multiple things and switch between them so I don’t get bored. 😂
Absolutely lovely colors this month! I love knitting and find it to be my serenity.
I knit for my soul
I would say playful yet practical
My knitting style? I’d say … indescribable! Sometimes I knit for the calmness and peace, but sometimes I am excited for a new project, technique or yarn. I love classic, timeless pieces, but I also enjoy the challenge of something wild and “out of my lane”. It’s new every day.
Mindful and enjoyable, slow knitter and speedy and adventurious crocheter!
My word would be “eclectic”. From delicate doilies made with thread to a 1.5 kg rug, from 20-minute baby shoes to full-size, colourful blankets that took me months, from Tunisian to broomstick, there is nothing in the crochet world that I haven’t tried or isn’t planning to try.
sporadic, focused, filled with love
Delight in giving yarn-made’s
Relaxed
Meditative.
Beautiful yarn this month!
My crochet style is cozy. For me it’s a grounding ritual that helps me to relax and unwind, usually with a cup of tea at my side too! I tend to make cozy items, blankets and sweaters and shawls to cozy up into.
For me, I’d say old-fashioned
Basic. Knitting just as I learned as a child. New to crochet, so that would be Basic as well.
My style is slow, and I enjoy trying new stitches while creating.
Meditative, calming. My colors!
Adventurous! I want to learn and try new skills with each project I cast on.
The process is just as important as the finished project.
One sentence that would describe my knitting and crochet style is: “I love to express my creativity through the colors and textures of yarn as it provides a peaceful place of relaxation.
I love making Shawls. The gold color shown would make the loveliest shawl. I crochet. Am a total failure at knitting. I am a great starter…but not always so good at finishing projects unless they are my shawls or Christmas ornaments. When my Beloved husband was alive I would sit with him in dialysis and crochet. I made lots of ornaments then especially. I made them for the workers there each year and also for groups that I belong to. Just gave one to the lady that brings my mail a couple of days ago.
My style is perhaps ever more challenging. Once I feel like I’ve mastered something I need more challenge. 😊
Meditative, relaxed. I’m a process knitter and crocheter.
Not only am I a color and fiber addict with a degree in textile design, but knitting/crocheting are my therapy AND my “snack prevention protocol”. After all, who wants orange Cheeto dust on a navy blue cashmere sweater?
My knitting style is highly detailed and driven by novelty. Give me complex lace in thread-weight! Give me colorwork with a dozen colors to keep track of! Give me crazy historical knits where I have to learn a whole new style of pattern reading! I never knit the same thing twice, and I crave knits I can learn from.
crocheting takes my mind off any troubles and lets me enter into another world of creativity
Those blues are so restful! When I knit or crochet, I enjoy the process as much as the completed project. After 60 years, I still get excited by a new technique.
I see myself as GRATEFUL every day!
My style in one sentence: Pretty easy crochet
I would describe my knitting as chaotic. I’m still fairly new to knitting and I have way too many WIPs!
Heartfelt
A constant learner!
Unexpected. I love a different take on traditional . Short row shaping, bias knit, modular etc.
Experimental would be the word I’d use to describe my style. I love finding unusual accessory patterns and designs, and trying different beautiful yarns.
My knitting style is personally medative and serves as a re-set from a hectic daily schedule.
My knitting and crochet style would best be described as casual.
Clumsy but loving
Hi Chandi!
My crocheting style is relaxed, unhurried …usually. 😊
I think my crochet style is “cosy.” Thanks for yet another great giveway!
Love
My knitting style is “ooh, SHINY!” I have tons of works in progress because as something grabs my attention, I start something new.
Eclectic
Suffice it to say that I have learned to love frogging, while still finding knitting to be most meditative.
My style would be “aspirational”. I think about knitting and crocheting, more than I actually do it. I see so many things and want to make them ALL, hence the aspirational. The colours this month are sensational. That pop of yellow with the blue is absolutely gorgeous and can see it working for blankets, shawls and sweaters…heck, all of it.
My knitting style is eclectic, I like lots of color and texture, beading and interesting stitches and shapes, as well as soothing classic styles and natural colors.
Chaotic but happy
I love your color choices, love how you pair it up with wonderful photos. I knitor crochet maybe 8 hours a day. It’s all I do, due to my. Rheumatoid arthritis and mobility.. but I love it. It keeps my hands busy. I mainly use most of my yarn for charity work and family gifts..
Itchy and Calming. I know the two sound like polar opposites, but what happens is I see a pattern that speaks to me, whether it’s the color or style, and I get that “itch” to make it. Once I start, the mechanics of the stitches is extremely calming to me. I love crocheting while rewatching my favorite movies.
My style is relaxing. I use crochet/knitting as a way to unwind and relax after working or a stressful day.
Constant
I consider my current style evolving. I’ve made blankets of sorts and decided last year to attempt clothing. I chose a basic cardigen for my daughter for Christmas last year. I’m hoping to progress to making other garmets now that that has been sucessfully accomplished. I love submerging myself in new projects while enveloping my senses in quiet meditation; sometimes sitting in the shade with a soft breeze, or relaxing on the couch.
Ambitious
Not sure how to describe my knitting style, maybe experimental. I have yarn I want to use, will knit all or most of the pattern and decide I don’t like the results and frog it. Then try another pattern with the same result. I’m enjoying the knitting but would like to have a finished item.
My crochet style is intentional. I never crochet for myself. I’m always making gifts for babies, my daughters or family and friends. I love the feel of yarn and making something beautiful and useful.
My style of knitting – is eclectic – I knit what colors and items strike me at the moment. Always trying to learn one new technique!
Satisfying
My knitting style is slow, patient, and complicated. The more fine detail the better.
My style is creative. I come up with my own patterns to make whatever I want to make. I use crochet and knitting as my creative outlets and a way to relax.
Slow but adventurous
It’s the journey that matters. The outcome is always an inspiring mystery.
I thought of many descriptive words, but I think “functional” suits my knitting style best as most of what I create is daily use items, such as slippers, hats, scarves, shrugs, shawls, cardigans/sweaters. etc.
My crochet style is pretty “hit & miss, though shawls and cat mats are fun and easy!
Those colours are gorgeous!
Have a magical day!
Eclectic, I usually have a mix of projects in progress. Some large some small, some simple enough for social knitting orTV watching and something that requires more concentration
I have being crocheting cardigans, tops, dresses , shawls, and sweaters for my daughters these past thirty five years. I will honestly declare that my style is eye-catching and inspiring. Everywhere and every time my daughters have worn the things I have crocheted for them they have received compliments. But even better , people have shown an interest in learning to crochet !
Beautiful yarns!! I knit and crochet but I find it hard to say what style either of them are as I tend to try all sorts of different ideas and patterns. I wish I had more hours in the day to try even more!! You could say my style is obsessive 😂
I think I would describe my knitting and crocheting style as taking a long adventure which will keep on going and going. Learning new things on the way and creating wonderful items
I love to knit and crochet and these colors are high on my list. I love blues and hope I am the lucky winner.
My style in a word or sentence? Hmmm My crochet style is therapeutic, ADHD effected, heirloom blankets stitched with an abundance of love, care, and a bit of dog hair. LOL
Absolutely adore the colors this month! Probably the best word I could use for my style painterly. I focus on color theory and my stitches vary like paint strokes 😂
I’m a knitter. I like timeless pieces and accessories. My favorite thing to knit are cables-the more complicated the better!
One word: Love
Love the feel of the yarn, the anticipation of seeing the creation come to life and how the colors blend together. Love thinking about the person I’m knitting for, even if it’s me! Love the way it promotes connection with other knitters. Love how it is so meditative. Love that is so portable and is a way for me to enjoy being outside in nature whether in my car in the park or just in a chair listening to the birds and/or a stream.
I would say my style is “whatever happens, happens.” I’ll leave in mistakes, not worry about how it looks or fits, never attempt for any specific guage.
My style is improving thanks to all the help and encouragement I get from the crochet along and free pattern Fridays. Looking forward to a cozy fall of crocheting.
Those, as always, are beautiful! And my knitting/crochet style – chaotic, in the best way possible. In the midst of lots of WIPs, don’t always follow patterns as they’re written, and just enjoying the play of yarn and needles/hook!
Adventurous! I love learning new techniques, so I usually pick a pattern that includes something I’ve never done before, such as a new stitch pattern, edging, shaping, seaming or whatever, then find yarn to make it happen! Keeps my mind and fingers occupied
I would say my knitting and crochet style is “unfocused”. It is more about process than finished objects…I have ADHD and tend to flit between projects depending on my mental state.
Hi! Both my knitting and crocheting style can be described as turtle-like, slow and steady.
I would describe my crochet as intentional. With each piece I stitch (wrap, sweater, baby garment), I imagine who might end up with it, and I pray for that person, known or unknown, while I’m crocheting.
Whether knitting, weaving, crocheting or making things, two words come to mind–eclectic and utilitarian. I like a variety of styles and whatever I make must be useful. I prefer texture over color, simpler colorways and designs over complicated, and so on, but I also love Celtic cables in knitting.
Everything is better when I’m knitting. Bad umpire calls don’t upset me. I am calm waiting in the doctor’s office. Even the ten minute wait for road construction (and there is plenty of that this time of year.) doesn’t bother me. I will get a plenty done in the next couple of weeks as my Seattle Mariners fight for the World Series Championship!
Chaotic! I know just enough to give me the confidence to try the daftest things. As a pensioner, I can’t bring myself to buy a pattern. I tend to do a lot of frogging, and revising, and frogging. At least I enjoy the journey though I haven’t yet gotten to a destination.
My crochet style is unbridled. I often start with a pattern or idea, but rarely make it through the whole pattern as it was originally designed. I like to make it work better for me or have a little different personality. Luckily because of this, I have also increased my crochet skills and can usually pull off the modification without frogging too many times. 🙂
I would describe my knitting style as a little chaotic. I am always jumping from one project to the next. I eventually finish every thing but quickly jump between multiple projects.
Always evolving!
I love to learn new techniques and skills.
Beginner
My crochet style is for relaxing and giving. Even though I can crochet at an advanced level I enjoy the creation that come from an advanced beginner to intermediate level to maintain the best therapeutic energy I get from creating a piece. The giving makes me happy to bring a smile to someone else’s face.
I would describe my knit & crochet style as wardrobe building. I’m getting back into creating a me made wardrobe. I’m currently crocheting your Increscent cardigan using yarn from my stash; woolyknits Cinnamon held with Kidsilk Haze colour Sunset, no stripes. I’ll put a picture of it on Ravelry once it’s completed. I can’t wait, it’ll be perfect for this fall.
Thank you for this giveaway! You have beautiful patterns, yarn and your email presentations are amazing!
Satisfying. I knit and crochet mostly just for me and always for my own desire to make things so it’s all satisfying.
I like to think I weave the fated threads that make up the fabric of destiny. The colors and stitches I choose are intentional for their symbolism and meaning to me. It feels a bit pretentious to say that out loud, but I find that having some mythical or mystical inspiration adds the spice of life to the mundane things we do.
Umm now i can best describe a game of yarn chicken!! 🐔 this is at present all i seem to do! Winmost times but on the odd occasion lost….then a rethink and a tweak!
Colorful and textured
Stress reliever & I get something useful from it too!
My crochet style is “if at first you don’t succeed, try try again” combined with “close enough” and “maybe this will be a bag instead….” I enjoy trying and learning new stitches and methods, while almost never doing a gauge swatch or even sticking to a pattern fully.
My style is mostly traditional. I knit a lot of baby items as gifts, and I tend to like older patterns but not necessarily vintage ones. It really depends on who’s getting the gift. I’m a little more ‘adventurous’ when knitting for me. I love bold, bright colours along with bling. I am a magpie. 🙂 I love the blues in this month’s prize.
I think satisfyingly creative defines my knitting/crocheting style.
Hi Chandi! If I were to describe my crochet style, I would say adventurous. I love matching up unexpected colors and trying new stitches and patterns – juxtapositioning the bold with the quiet, the elegant with the playful or outrageous statement. I myself and a quiet and introverted person, but I use knitting and crochet to become quite the impish extrovert! 🌞😁
I absolutely love knitting and crocheting and it’s my go-to when I’m at home for my me time. But I am really bad for starting one project and then something else catches my eye before I finish and I desperately need to start that one too. So, my style is like the dogs in Disney’s movie Up – “Squirrel!”
My style would be 2 words: functional and interesting.
Wondering
I’d say my knitting style is slow and relaxed.
I think the word that best describes my style is Fickle, lol. I am not loyal to just one project at a time, often switching projects or even starting new ones. I just go with whatever I am drawn to at that moment.
For crocheting, it would be WIPS, WIPS, and more WIPS because I like to try a lot of different yarns and patterns. For knitting, it would be total beginner learning the basics.
I’d describe my style as joyful.
Slow and happy! 😁 Crochet!
My creative style is BOHO….from choosing elements to the music I listen to while creating!
Id have to say my crochet style is ambitious! I only just started a few months ago and jumped straight into wearables and making my own adjustments to patterns to suit my vision. It’s been an exciting adventure I can only imagine what winning a giveaway like this would bring!
My knitting and crochet style is very experimental, luxurious and cozy.
Experiment
Knitting and crocheting brings me joy, peace and a sense of me being a me that is fulfilling. I love to make things for the people I love and I think about them when I work on gifts for them.
My crochet style is mosaic. Since I learned the mosaic crochet technique it’s all I crochet now. I love making mosaic blankets.
My knitting style is Celtic. I’m all about cables lately.
My crocheting projects usually have multiple textures, and I love to work in cable crocheting when I can.
My style is inconsistent. I think about knitting all the time but get distracted.
In a sentence: Do justice to the materials.
I joked to someone earlier that I use knitting/crocheting to replace my usual crippling stress with artistic stress! lol
Hanna: I would describe my knitting style as : Pure Enjoyment . Therapy.
Eclectic!
I’d have to say my knitting is relaxing, enjoyable, loving, caring & with a purpose😊
I’d call my style: adaptable.
Hm… my knit and crochet style is usually very concise and clean, but recently ive been trying to get out of my comfort zone!
My knitting style is… deliberate. I’m not one to cast on and just see where the mood takes me; I’m much more prone to planning everything out in meticulous detail in advance. And if I make changes mid-project, I take copious notes on exactly what I’m doing.
Therapy.
Knitting, crocheting, processing raw wool is my therapy.
When I took up processing my own wool (basically from off the sheep’s back to finished product, except dyeing-I leave that to the experts), my great-grandmother said I was crazy.
“I HAD to do all that as a girl, you can go to a yarn shop and BUY your yarn!” 😀
I told her it was relaxing and soothing for me, and she wrote me off as nuts, lol.
Relaxing 😊
Gift! Because almost everything I knit or crochet is for someone else. I love crafting for my loved ones! 🥰
I knit & crochet to make things most often for others. My grandsons are now requesting specific sweater colors and I love being able to make garments they like to wear over & over again. My one word for my knitting/crochet: happiness!
I would have to describe my knitting style as personal because it is the other part of me. I knit every day and I get fidgety when I don’t have needles in my hands. It has helped me get through some really rough, trying times and I don’t want to imagine what it would have been like without my knitting. It also brings me great inner happiness when I learn something new or I finish an amazingly beautiful project. I always have to ask myself…Did I really make that myself?
I would describe my knitting/crocheting styles as progressive. I’m always looking to try more challenging patterns, and I also use the skills I’ve learned to create my own patterns!
process knitter
Bonjour,
Lovely colours
My style is trying to learn knitting to see if it’s easier for painful hands n wrists.: and a passing of the baton on crocheting to my daughter who has begun crocheting this year.
I would describe it as chaotic. I stop and start projects all the time then have half finished projects everywhere. I wouldn’t have it any other way, I love to start new projects and hopefully one day will finish some!
Peaceful.
I have 7 children… knitting brings me peace and calms my mind.
Mostly off and on.
More recently, on
I guess I would call the style I like to make sporty minimalist. But the way I do it is monogamous and slow. I’ve tried working between projects and it never works. I always favor one and for get the others.
Umm, great question! I think my style would be neat, floral and lacy 🙂
My style would be meditative, perhaps? I tend to crochet or knit (depending on my mood) because I’m sort of twitchy (I’m autistic), and it helps me stay settled.
So far my crocheting journey has been progressive since I keep going a step at a time.
I love yarns like to try new things
My crochet and knitting style would be described as…seasonal. Living in the Arizona desert, it’s just too hot spring and summer to have a growing afghan on your lap! I am currently gearing up for knitting/crocheting season!! The yarn in this giveaway is absolutely beautiful and would be perfect for the knitting/crocheting season.
I tend to be a ” Squirrell!!” knitter and crocheter.. I start projects and then ” SQUIRRELL!!” am distracted by another gorgeous “SQUIRRELL!!” project – I have untold numbers of projects on needles. The fun part is when they’re all finished about the same time!
OMG the teals go so good with the yellows, I am in loveeee!!! 🙂 Teal/turquoise is my favorite color. I would describe my knitting/crochet style as “beautifully chaotic” due to my ADHD and constant chase of that adrenaline rush from new patterns and intricate designs. Wooohooo!!! I’m pumped. I love these colors, and I love all of you and your hard work. Also, Chandi always cracks me up. Thank you all for bringing joy to our lives. I LOVE YARN!!!!
My style is random. I enjoy making amigurumi for my 9 year old son, made a shawl for a relative, and have some plans for new projects. Every project is a new adventure.
Whatever I’m working on, I would describe my style as methodical.
My style is therapeutic, relaxed, and casual.
Eclectic – whatever whim comes across my feed!
My knitting style is… obsessive 😁
I’d describe my style as eclectic. I switch between knitting and crochet, after scouring through pattern choices and saving up for yarn or selecting from the stash it’s great to create and experiment or learn new techniques.
Oh, Chandi, I adore your yarn! My knitting style is … soothing. I don’t get complicated — knitting is stress release for me. I’ve literally knit so many blankets and shawls that my family room looks like a magic carpet shop. I can’t remember the last time I knit or crocheted anything that wasn’t “one size will eventually fit anyone or anything” — and that is perfectly fine with me.
I have always described my crochet style along the lines of “f*king around with strings” lol so I’d probably condense that to “FAFO” 😅
My knitting style in one word would be “relax”. Knitting relaxes me, and I enjoy taking my time with each project
I would definitely have to say adventurous. I love to try new stitches and patterns and types of crochet. My daughter will come to me and aske her to make some of the most random things and I will say to her “you seem to think I can make anything.” and she says “Well, can’t you?” sometimes I have made my own patterns for her sake. lol
I think my crochet and knitting styles are similar in that I have WIPs in both, which proves me easily attracted to another project too soon! I suppose I have a wandering eye and am quite fickle. LOL.
I seriously love both knitting and crochet so much!
Loving the colors this month! My crochet style is sporadic and evolving. I love to crochet, it is relaxing, but I will finish a project and it will be a while before I start another. I am usually trying to make gifts for others.
Slow!! That’s how I’d describe my style!!
My style is functional, love crocheting anything I can wear
I’ve never thought about my crochet style before. I make a LOT of hats for charity, so I tend to make more simple things, but I do like to use fun stitches to keep things interesting.
My knitting style is Meandering. Like a lazy river, I work peacefully on one project for a while then change directions and work on another for a while. And over time, I gradually reach the end of each of them while adding new projects along the way…like tributaries.
Full of colour
I still feel as I am a knitting/crocheting beginner as every now and than I learn some new stitches/techniques. During knitting/crocheting I can forget all the problems and struggles of the day.
My knitting/crocheting style is always precise, and I usually follow the instruction carefully because it doesn’t require much thought. However, I have also knitted a sweater without a instruction because I really wanted to try out an interesting pattern—it turned out to be a beautiful, well-fitting sweater.
WOW! My favorite color and birthstone color. Love all the blues! I never thought about my crocheting or knitting style. I think my knitting style, even though I do love to knit, would be apprehensive. For some reason I have always felt I wasn’t up for the task. It seems more intricate to me and that I may not be able to complete the finished project. As far as crocheting, I feel much more confident in my work and finished products. I must say that I am so very happy and appreciative that one day many years ago an EFA email showed up in my inbox. It certainly has challenged me to try some new and beautiful handmade items. Thank you Chandi and staff for all you do for us “Happy Hookers”! LOL. 💕🌹💕
I would have to describe my crochet style as bouncy
These are beautiful colors! Thank you for the chance!
My knitting/crocheting style would be considered cozy and casual. I love to create items that provide a sense of comfort and joy, allowing them to snuggle and give a warm hug.
How would I describe my knitting style?
Eclectic, adventurous, grounded & mediative.
I’ll make almost anything.
That intricate lace?? Sure!
That Mobius wrap? Yup.
Cabled beanie? Of course!
Sequined cowl? Mmmhmm.
Schlanket shawl with tons of different stitches? Oh yes!
Shadow knitting? Definitely!
I just get a little bored with all garter, I know so many call it “so squishy”, but there’s no challenge… unless it’s something like the “papillon” shawl … I’ve made 2!
I’ll do ALMOST anything….
I don’t care for intarsia, it’s gorgeous, but I think it wastes a lot of yarn & being the yarn chicken queen, I don’t like waste.
I’ve made some pieces where I literally had inches of yarn left.
But even that is spliced with other leftovers & put into a scrappy blanket I’m making…it’s held double with a bare yarn.
Slower than I would like. So many knits to be knit! If I wrote an autobiography, it would be entitled, “I’m Knitting As Fast As I Can!”
My kniting style – no stress, meaning I continue to learn new skillls, but at a pretty relaxed pace. I want knitting to be enjoyable and relaxing. I don’t do much crocheting because I don’t fins much that appeals to me (and I’m not about to start a pineapple tablecloth!)
Incomplete. I have completed approximately 300 projects I have desires to create 450 projects and of those 22 are due this year. I become so consumed by timelines that I know I am missing the joy. 2026 WILL BE a year of feeling accomplished! Thank you for all of your inspiration: yarny and personal.
My style is eclectic! I love all colors and styles from classic to postmodern.
I have a passion for victorian, gothic. Also any and all Alice in Wonderland inspiration. . . Not the Disney Alive but dark and gothic Alice. Colors that are synonymous to a rainy day. Or foreboding clouds and ominous skies. . . I am a hopeless romantic for all things dark (NOT evil). I LOVE cathedrals such as Cologne-this is my favorite ancient structure in all the world. It is breathtaking. I have only seen it in pictures and “reels” but the first time I saw it, it brought me to tears.
“There is a beauty in darkness that light will never touch.” ~Unknown
I’d say my style is to try to relax and enjoy what I’m making and try to get my mind off of the chronic pain that I live with 24/7. When I crocheting, I want whatever I am making to be the best it can be. I’m a perfectionist so If it doesn’t look like i think it should or if it’s not turning out the way I want it to, I will frog it and start over or move on to something else. If I don’t enjoy the stitches that I’m crocheting, I’ll stop and start with another pattern with another stitch.
My style for both crochet and knitting is evolving, with a tendency to go too fast and make mistakes (which I often only realize later on *sigh*)
My style is hyper traditional forms in edgy color combos 🙂
Soothing!
I’m a casual knitter; I don’t feel pressed to finish an item in a certain amount of time.
Intricate and colorful!
I would for crocheting, I am a fast learner and loving every second of it! I LOVE the colors of the yarn this month! Blue and yellow are my absolute favorite colors!
I always like to try new patterns to test/build my skills.
My knit/crochet style is probably best described as Variety. I almost never make the same pattern twice – there are just too many new things to make to repeat!
Good morning. My knitting style, I would describe as calming. My brain is constantly bouncing around, knitting helps me focus and quiet the noise of life.
My crochet style is meticulous, ritmic, enjoying every stitch and my knitting style is paced and lacey
My knitting style is escapism.
My crochet style is slow and my knitting style is slow. Because I don’t rush anywhere. I can’t express in words how much joy and relaxation I get from all the hours I spend crocheting and knitting. I learned to crochet from a YouTube channel seven years ago. I’ve been knitting since I was sixteen. This month’s colors are gorgeous. But to be honest, I haven’t seen any yarn here that I didn’t like. I ordered twice – very expensive for me, plus shipping – but I couldn’t resist the temptation. Anyway, some gorgeous pieces came out with those yarns.
Inventive, slow, and relaxed
Snail. Because I’m slow lol.
My knitting style can only be called adventure filled. I don’t back away from trying a new method. Sometimes quick and to the point and sometimes rolling slow and lazy like a quiet river.
Relaxed
Therapy!!
My knitting and crochet style is calming. Whenever life sends all sorts of things my way, the way to center myself and to calm myself is to get knitting or crocheting.
I would say my style is for relaxing and dealing with past trauma so I crochet to help myself heal if that makes any sense. Imy style is relaxing and I make things for the homeless so that they can have something new for them and not something that’s been used before.
Squirrel. My style i like a squirrel, all over the place. 😄
My crochet expression is full-on ADHD. Ten projects in the works, yet I’m always thinking about the next. I do finish them, but not always in a reasonable time frame. I love learning new stitches and can’t wait to use them in everything from amigurumi, to freestyle, to traditional crochet. I live with an explosion of yarn within my reach, but it’s never enough. I love to create my own designs as it feels easier than concentrating on a written pattern. Addictive, meditative, creative, and chaotic…all at once.
I would describe my knitting style as therapeutic.
I think my crochet style is simple in such a way that shows off the yarn or works effectively without being bulky. I also think it is colorful as I love pairing varigated yarns together.
I think I would have to say my style of knitting and crocheting is hopeful. I always plan to sell what I make (I’m homeless and disabled) but then someone falls in love with what I made and I can’t help but give it away hoping that it brings happiness to someone
it brings me gratitude, love and thankfullness
Romantic practicality. And country cozy.
I crochet and I tend to make scarves and shawls. Beaded shawls are my favorite, there’s a rhythm to it that’s soothing. Not sure that’s a style, but that’s what I love to do sitting in my chair. The occasional holiday critters make the cut as well. 😊
Complex. I crochet for pain and stress management, and that means I need a fully absorbing pattern — no simple repeats!
Relaxing. That is what I consider Crocheting. And everyone enjoys the gifts I make. I get lots of compliments, even at the Doctor’s office, and the grocery store. LOVE the yarn colors!!!! Just my colors!
My newest obsession is mosaic crochet, inset and overlay. And I want to make a Patchwork quilt look crochet afghan
I usually love casual and soft knits, but from time to time I love some sparkling yarns or some sequins. I love your work and your passion, and also how beautiful mosaic knitting is!
I enjoy simple knitting patterns, preferably top-down and with a bit of lace or simple cables.
I think my comment was not saved, I hope I am not repeating myself, but I love simple knits, sometimes with some special yarn with glitter or sequins.
Relaxing
I would describe my knitting styles eclectic they’re times when I knit for the bring me back to my Joy and other times it is when I see a pattern I knit it just because the pattern calls to me.
My knitting style was is slow, but in a good way! I enjoy the process, but there are so many pretty patterns and gorgeous yarns that I want hurry up and make everything!
That’s a hard question. Knitting and crocheting are so many things depending on my mood, place, the yarn… sometimes it’s perfect, sometimes it’s relaxing, sometimes it’s peaky. It’s something I like to do, maybe creation in one word 😊. I love the cool colors this month. Have a wonderful weekend 🥰
What an absolutely gorgeous selection. All the beautiful blues, greys and teals! My favorites…Be still my beating heart. 💙 🩶 🩵
I would describe my knitting experience as calming & grounding me time, with a sense of progression as I challenge myself to learn new things with each project I engage in.
My style would be the mood that I am in when I begin. I am both a crocheter and a knitter. I always follow the mood I want to work with, like now I feel like crocheting a bit, then switch later to knitting. I love to take it slow and watch how it grows as I am making a garment. So my crochet pattern is a cardigan, and my knit is a top-down sweater.
I knit every project about one and one half times since I have to tink back to fix mistakes. Lifelines to the rescue!!!!!
My knitting style is COZY! I knit hats, mittens, sweaters, blankets and cowls to keep us all COZY in our Minnesota winters! And I love using quality natural fibers!
I would describe my knitting and crochet style as eclectic!
In a word? Adventurous. A second word would be Experimental.
My crochet style is either flowing or texture. I love my projects.
Scatterbrained
My knitting and crochet style is ADHD based 🤪
Sporty! I love stripes and that 70’s colors retro vibe.
My knitting and crochet style is a little… impulsive goblin at a desert yoga retreat. Neurodivergent so it’s whatever speaks to me at the time but I have the same sort of style as you – calm and serene, just what’s in my head is not. Lol.
My crafting style is mirror – reflects my emotions closely
My knitting is changeable like the seasons, sometimes its cool blues, greens, aquas and other times its warm and comforting like browns, oranges, rusts. It just depends on my mood. Taught by my grandmother at a young age, it always brings that comforting, warm fuzzy feeling of home and love.
Love the blues and yellows. I would say my crochet style is adventurous.
Miniature. I like knitting little things on tiny needles. Currently knitting little stuffed owls that fit in the palm of my hand. Also socks. On #1 needles. 🙂
My knit and crochet style is “Adventurous”. I detest endless rows of the same stitch! I put the WIP in the corner when I reach that point and get it out when I’m stressed and just want to do someting “mindless”.
Love the colours this month, but am rather surprised it wasn’t mre autumn themed.
In a word? Comforting. My crochet is meant to be a warm hug, and I try to pour as much of that feeling into every stitch.
My knitting style: still figuring things out, starting to break out of my comfort zone, and always intrigued by the interplay of colours.
Oh I’m a repeating pattern person just in different colours over and over.
I would have to say my style is relaxing. Loving the October colors
My knitting is… perfect chaos 🤣🙈 yep, thats me… I need everything be perfect, loads of redoing, but I skip from one project to another with no system, totally random… and here and there I get something finished…
My crochet style is colorfully expressive, inspired by joyful memories and moments that bring warmth to my heart. Each piece is a celebration of color and connectionn, especially the ones my son helps me with. His creative eye adds a layer of love that makes those projects my absolute favorites. I love doing mosaic pieces.
My knitting style could be described as relaxing. Most of the time, if I’m sitting, I’m knitting!
I would call my style fun, adventurous, and a little reckless. I love trying new patterns, colors, and styles, but I almost never gauge and almost always suffer the consequences. Lol
I’d describe my knitting style as casual — I like a project I can pick up and set down as the mood strikes me, ideally one that is straightforward enough so I don’t need to constantly check the pattern.
Lace knitter – I am working on first project so far – a cardigan with no lace 😊
Hi, I think my knitting style would have to be described as trying, traditional and vintage. I have “inherited” a lifetimes worth of very very old knitting patterns from my mom, some going back to 1950, including baby bonnets, baby blankets, old fashioned babies pram legging and coats, ladies matching top and cardigan sets and lots and lots of cable jumper patterns. All very old, used, delicate and dogeared on the corners. I will never be a super speedy and accurate knitter like mom was, but I am trying my best, and I think she would have been proud of me for that.
Quixotic
Adventurous and evolving as I’ve been crocheting since I was 8, now 63. And teaching any chance I get.
Learning ..blue is my favorite color .. would love to win this and be able to make something nice out it. When i get extra money to spare i spend it on yarn and make whatever i have enough for
I think I would describe my crochet style as focused. Whatever project I’m working on, the rest of the world fades away and I’m enjoying the texture and colors.
Big dreams, small pockets of time — the story of every project I start!
I’d say my crochet style is “impulsive, but committed” since I start new projects without really thinking them through all the time, but (so far) I’ve always finished my projects… eventually
Blue, blue, blue… MY colour since my childhood, and still is, being in my 50s. And with those splashes of sun-yellow, the blues pop out even more. Splendid !!! Totally in love with this colour combo! Grtz, from Belgium 🇧🇪
My knitting style is anything using a garter stitch because I’m not fond of purling. However, I have done patterns that require purl stitches and I recently finished a mosaic knitted scarf for my sister in bubble gum pink and dark brown superwash wool.
Love your yarn and the comments here. My knitting style is always keep learning. I usually have several projects going and like to try new techniques. Hope to someday be able to design my own garments.
I have been knitting off and on for 40 plus years and would say that I am an intermediate knitter although I am always game to try some new method or technique. I also consider myself to be an advanced crocheter as I can tackle almost anything crocheted.
Gorgeous colors in this giveaway! Been knitting for about 10 years. My style is pretty methodical but also a little obsessive on color and texture.
I’m afraid my style would be “pathetic”
I think my knitting style is “joyful”. I love taking joy wherever I can and sometimes it flies off my needles !!
I would consider myself a relaxed and ambitious continental combination knitter and hooker I have been at it for some years now and usually work one project at a time. Too many WIPS would drive me absolutely insane, I love to learn new things and techniques..
My crochet style in one word is “relaxing“. 😊
I’m not sure how I would describe my crochet style… I like a challenge and I like learning stitches or techniques I’ve never done before!
My favorite style is lace. Recently I have been into beaded lace knitting.
My knitting style is devoted but can be a drag — I force myself to stick with one project at a time, which means I set it down for days on end when it gets to a less exciting part.
Exciting & beautiful collection in this giveaway! Thank you again, EFA! My style of creation would be easy, soft & relaxed…..maybe Stevie Nicks style. Addicted. Totally-obsessed with the whole fiber scene! (Hard to describe me and my style in ONE word. I failed your test. 😀 )
Eclectic. I knit all the things!
I would say that my knitting style could be described as evolving- whether adding elements of crochet to my knitted projects or using a loom versus needles, it changes and expands the more I learn!
My crochet style is intermittently intense, my knitting style is more intermittent and also very slow. Unfortunately I’m a perfectionist so will usually frog rather than accepting errors (but I’ll let them stay if I can convince myself that no-one – and that includes me! – will notice them :D)
My knitting style could be described as ‘unfortunate, but improving’.
My knitting style would be comfortable.
I would say that my knitting and crocheting style is calming.
My knitting style is relaxed and prolific, I generally have 4-5 projects on the needles
The colors this month are stunning!
My style of crochet at the moment is Tunisian.
Purposeful
My knitting style? Idk. I’m a beginner. I’ve only made a scarf and am working on my 1st sweater… again…. lol
I’m trying to find my zen in knitting. My knitting style is stressed right now tho lol
Easy
Lacey, more than anything!
My knitting style is constant creation! Constantly knitting and constantly thinking about my next creation!
My knitting style is fake it till you make it! I’m still learning and making mistakes. But hey, that’s how we learn and get better right?
I love to knit easily wearable accessories and sweaters. I gravitate towards patterns with interesting motifs or techniques that would be fun to explore.
My knitting style in a word
Improvisational
I have “recipes” that I follow but mostly I like to do the math as I go along. I do like patterns for learning new skills but mostly I like to make my own as I go, led by the yarn and what it wants to be
I love to make crochet garments. I’ve been knitting for 10 months. Fiber arts is my resiliency.
Fun, whimsical amigurumi and shawls.
Hi Chandi,
I’d say I crochet and knit to relax; however, I do sometimes bite off more than I can chew. I tend to challenge myself with difficult projects which can, on occasion, make me crazy, but I really enjoy it….😊
I think my knitting / crochet style is never ending ufo’s. I have several projects going at once and some I’ll finish, some will get frogged and some will stay in project bags. I just enjoy the feeling of working with pretty color yarn and needles.
Hi Chandi. I suppose my crochet style could be described as easy and laid back. Nothing too complicated, yet still not a one row repeat. As for knitting, I’m still a newbie, so I don’t think I have a style yet. Thanks for all of your brilliant tutorials. They are such confidence boosters!
Every stitch is a hug.
