Hello, my beautiful fiber friend! Today, I have a gorgeous, knitted sweater to share with you, and it features a lovely gradient fade and the option to mix and match yarn charts and colors! I think you’re going to love this stunning design! Keep reading to learn all about the Kaleidoscope sweater pattern.

Kaleidoscope was designed by Debi Maige. When asked about this sweater pattern, Debi said, “I remember the fun of looking through my first kaleidoscope… the jewel toned colors and the geometric shapes created by each turn of the tube. Such fun! I think this pullover captures that moment perfectly and offers the opportunity to completely customize the colors and the designs by choosing your own sequences and pairings. The garment is worked bottom up using mosaic knitting for the colorwork, which only uses one color at a time, making for easy but effective colorwork.”

This Intermediate to Advanced level pattern is ideal for the adventurous knitter who loves to tackle something a bit more complicated. Skills/concepts include chart reading, mosaic knitting, decreasing, short rows, and garment sizing.

Kaleidoscope comes in sizes XS (S, M, L) (XL, 2XL, 3XL) (4XL, 5XL), which correspond to finished bust measurements of 32 (36, 40, 44) (48, 54, 58) (62, 64)” / 81 (91, 102, 112) (122, 137, 147) (157, 163) cm. Our beautifully shimmering and soft Luster Sport yarn is an ideal choice for this scrumptious sweater. Once you’ve worked with Luster Sport, you’re going to fall head over heels in love with its yummy, squishy goodness! Luster Sport is a blend of 50% Superwash Merino Wool and 50% Lyocell, a plant fiber that provides the glow of silk without the price, and the shine is out-of-this-world stunning!

The sample shown here was made with Vanilla Luster Sport as the Main Color and the Cinque Terre Hues Luster Sport Mini Kit for the Contrasting Colors. Our sample is a size Small and is modeled on a 34” (86 cm) bust with 2” (5 cm) of ease.

You’ll need the following amounts of yarn for the Kaleidoscope pattern:
