I am planning to knot socks, sweater and shawl all.for myself lol. I have been knitting everything for others so far.
What amazing soft colors! Just looking at them lowers my blood pressure, I swear!! 🙂
My goal is to actually crochet a shirt for myself. I keep looking at doing a wearable, but fear my skill wouldn’t be enough.
Learning quilting this year
So much yarn to use and things to finish ..socks backlog, several sweaters, scarves, glove, baby gifts….all to make room for your yarn. By far my favorite yarn is from your shop!
Lots of knitting and crochet! I’m retiring next month 👏🎉
My crafting plans include finish some WIPs, learn how to use my addi knitting machine I got for Christmas, make my very first adult sized sweater and try to use up stash yarn.
I plan on participating in the 4th annual knit for food knit-a-thon on March as well as continuing my charity knitting for The Pink Slipper Project
I will also be trying to finish up some WIPs and getting these projects to their patiently waiting recipients
Happy New Year! My 2024 plans include:
-finish decorating my new craft room
-make a sweater
-make a beaded project
-learn a new technique or skill
I’m going to face my fears and make myself a sweater!
I plan to learn new techniques and/or make better the ones I already know how to do.
I’ll be starting a Mineral sweater by Lotta Löthgren and maybe expanding my crochet skills a bit this year
I am learning crochet for 2024 and have some great patterns lined up including a moss stitch temperature blanket and a cardigan. Couldn’t be more excited to dive in. Can’t say my husband is as excited about my recent yarn purchases….
😍 beautiful soft colors!
For 2024, I would like to learn embroidery, and get out my sewing machine and make myself a skirt. And of course, knit something for eachebof my family members (didn’t quite make it last year…)
And I forgot, Happy New Year and thank you!!
I find myself needing an amazing warm afghan to snuggle up with while watching a good movie…one that can only be handmade! That’s first on my list of crafting for 2024!!
Happy New Year!
My Crafting plan for 2024: Finish up current crochet projects and do more crocheting this year!
I am planning on finishing up a scarf I’ve already got on my knitting needles. I’m going to start a cardigan. I’m exited and nervous about the cardigan I’ve never made one before. I hope you have a great New Year! Good luck everyone!
I hope to make my first sweater this year.
Happy New Year!!! I’ve been gifted a number of patterns so I’m hoping to work on those… and work through my stash as well.
My crafting plan for 2024 is to FINALLY start on my first sweater project and hopefully finish it by the end of the year haha. Plus a few little side-projects and stuffed animals.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Fir
2024, I will travel more, work more at a job I love, finish more knit UFOs, and create more!
A lot of sweaters. First one is “Into the wild” with foxes.
I’m hoping 2024 will be full of adventurous crafting for me, learning new techniques and incorporating them into my own designs. Thanks for your continuous generosity and loving spirit throughout the years.
I’ve got so many projects!! The first one on my list is a baby blanket for my sisters 1st kid! I’m so excited to make one!! I’ve got socks, throw pillow cases, throw blanket, stuffies, hats, a pair of pants for a friend, sweaters, and lots more! Probably won’t finish them all but that’s okay!! Just excited for what I will create!
My crafting plans this year are to rebuild my studio (I moved), try to work through (and actually finish) the projects that I have set up and ready to knit/crochet. I also want to organize my stash better.
Happy New Year eveyone!! My 2024 yarn goals are to finish up the Acalypha Shawl (I am a very slow knitter, so it may take me all year. LOL). And start on the Mou Leipeis shawl with the lovely Nublado DK yarn I just received. 🙂
I have two crafting resolutions for the new year. The first is to finish unfinished projects. And since I’m always knitting for others and delaying projects for myself, my second resolution is craft one project for myself each month. Thank you for the opportunity to win your beautiful yarns!
Same as always. Cast on whatever strikes me at the moment, and have lots of fun. 🙂
Hi! Hoping to finish up some 2023 (and earlier) WIPs and overcome my fear of colorwork!
Hi, I’m planning on finishing all I have already started (2 blankets and a jumper) and then I don’t know!
So many crafting plans for 2024! I have about 7 WIPs I really need to focus on finishing and then i can work on a new shawl pattern
Beautiful yarn as always! Fingers crossed that I win. :). My plan for 2024 will be to join in on the MKAL and complete it. As well as to finish up some projects to use for gifts in December. 💕💕
I’m looking forward to finishing the Embrasser shawl and gifting it to my mother! I don’t know what my next project may be but I hope to set aside time to crochet at all while I’m starting a new quarter!
Ich möchte noch einen schönen Pulli aus deiner Sammlung stricken. Habe mich nur noch nicht entschieden welchen genau.
Thank you for this opportunity, Chandi! I am working my way through a hat project, and I hope to finish at least one of the sweaters for myself that I have started.
I want to learn amigurumi in 2024.
My head is exploding with ideas for this coming year. I’m going to try knitting a Shetland shawl, have an overlay crochet blanket to finish and like using beautiful yarns in embroidery projects for texture. I would also like to do some more felting now that I’ve retired and have more time – the sky’s the limit!
Hopefully I’ll be able to finish what I started AND all the projects I have waiting in totes with yarn & pattern…. I need to knit faster!!
I plan on spending more time on larger projects
Happy New Year Chandi, family and friends!
Your generosity is overwhelming and we all thank you for it. Sending hugs from 🇨🇦
I plan to try and get some WIPs finished and maybe plan a knit with one of my yarn advent’s.
For 2024
I know I’m crocheting about 70 soap savers for my daughter’s 10th anniversary “classic celebrity roast”. They will be part of her “swag bags”. After that who knows.
Happy new year Chandi and the EFA Team! Another gorgeous selection on yarns 😍
My 2024 plans include finishing up a lot of works in progress and some things from my queue hopefully. I am looking forward to the MCAL as well!
I decided to work in a throw from 204 different motives 17 motives for a month.
My sons have asked I knit them socks, which I have never done (I knit shawls/scarves and sweaters/tee-shirts), so that would be a very good starting point for yarn ❤️ Thank you much for all you do for the community and very happy new year ✨
I’d love to win some yarn to enable me to continue my late-in-life crochet hobby.
Cette année je voudrais me tricoter le pull Lorien, j’aimerais aussi apprendre le point brioche. Et certainement faire des bas, des moufles etc. etc.
Merci beaucoup pour ce concours et Bonne Année 2024
I have declared 2024 the year of the socks. I’ve already finished 2 pairs this year. I also have a few sweaters in mind. Thank you for the giveaways. What Fun!
Dear Chandi, current crafting plans include vest for my son-in-law’s birthday, baby blanket and outfits for my daughter’s baby due in July, cardigan for my older daughter in Peony hues (if I can get them), a vest for each of my sons, and possibly my 6 year old grandson, a cabled throw, and something lovely light and ethereal for me. Oh, and a lovely summer maternity blouse for my expecting daughter. Maybe some hats and scarves. And more experiments with garments. I love making beautiful things.
My crafting plans for 2024 is to crochet my hands off… I was in a slump last year so I had nothing to enter in the county fair…
I will finally be making my first sweater in 2024!
My crochet plans for this year are to work more to improve my amigurumi skills. My items turn out nice, but too large.
I plan on lots of knitting!
My crafting plans for 2024 is to try and complete as many WIP’s of knitting and crocheting as possible.
My crafting plans are to finally get my craft room organized and start using some of the fabulous yarns I have purchased from you over the years!
Hi Chandi! I plan to tackle my many WIPs this year 😁. Thanks so much for everything you do! ❤️
I’m going to be knitting lots of baby things – for the 2 latest grandchildren.
I also want to master 2 colour brioche.
My immediate plans for crafting are to finish the cat caves for a friend of mine’s new furry babies. The rest is really about actually finishing things I have started over the years but never finished, or mainly, not blocked.
And otherwise just to stay inspired by all the other amazing people online, like yourself.
Happy New Year!
I have so many plans, Christmas was a big success in my family with all the handmaded stuff so mostly clothes for my mom <3
I’m working on a super-intricate tapestry right now and just found out I have another new baby to create for, so super busy!
Omg wouldn’t it be just fabulous to start the new year with such gorgeous yarns!
I plan to do lots of knitting and crocheting this year, of course! But also to build 2 sheds for our backyard.
Beyond the new MCAL once it’s announced, I don’t have specific plans yet – I want to explore wearables. I’m a newish crocheter, and just made my first cardigan and had great fun with it! Thank you for the giveaway, the gorgeous yarn, and all the incredible patterns!
What a lovely collection! Thank you for the opportunity to win!
This year I plan to try new patterns for my charity hat knitting. Hopefully I can add 5 new patterns to my rotation. Last year I donated 75 hats to a food pantry that distributes them.
Happy New Year!
I’d like to finish more projects…. I get near the end & I get get distracted with my next project. Bad habit of mine, I recognize this, acknowledge this…. sigh…
I hope to be better in 2024, because I really want to “wear” these things!
Beautiful yarn to start the new year, as always! Thank you!
I hope to make at least 20 shawls for my cancer center
I am starting off 2024 with weaving and knitting a little each day.
Finish 2 WIPs: Renata and Sonder shawls then make an as yet unknown pattern with Restore fingering. I’ll be weaving a wedding gift and spinning fiber from my stash in the coming months as well as assembling a pin loom project. So many crafts, so many project, so many possibilities, So Much Fun!
Happy 2024!!! My plans for this year are to knit my first colorwork sweater!! Have a great day and a great year.
My 2024 crafting plans are to get better at reading charts!!!
My crafting plans are to finish or at least make significant progress on the 3 sweaters I have going right now so that I can then start… more sweaters! 😂
. My crafting plans for this year are a sweater for hubby and some “leftover” stash busting.
My crafting plans are to finish a sweater I started in December, knit a shawl for a friend as she teaches me baking, and make Zucchero. I retired the last day of December, so I now have much more time to knit and work on the farm.
In 2024, I want to expand my knitting skills, but trying my first knit sweater! I’m nervous and excited!
My 2024 goals include actually using some of my beautiful yarn collection and not just storing it (!) as well as inspiring more young folks to learn to crochet and knit in the crafting club I started at my high school!
Hi Chandi,
I have so may projects I would like to complete this year. A mosaic blanket, 2 shawls I already have started and blankets for charities. Plus hats and scarves and amigurumis.
Hi, Chandi – my plans for 2024 include knitting sweaters for kids ages newborn to 5/6 years old, specifically for our local Children’s Coalition. They are so desperate for warm clothing, especially at this time of year. I’ve also got a sweater pattern on my needles for me in a soft, luscious lavender heather. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm for all things yarn love it!
Making more time to get crafty, and to knit a lightweight shawl for our European vacation next summer.
For 2024 I plan to crochet more and learn knitting.
Happy New Year to everyone at Expression Fiber Arts! Life always gets better when I get emails (or even better, deliveries !) from you guys. All the best this coming year and always. Thanks!
Hi Chandi,
I’m looking forward to creating a beautiful cowl for my best friend with the “Jack Frost” yarn I bought years ago from your shop! 🙂 Looking forward to finishing a shawl I started in 2023 as well.
I have no plans.
I do what our family needs and whatever comes to mind after that =)
Hi Chandi, a very Happy New Year to you from Germany. I´m planning to knit a lot of socks and shawls this year. But I´ll surely knit some sweaters, as well
I want to step into socks this year
I’m excited to have time to finish off my many works in progress and try some new things in 2024! Happy New Year!
I am going to be working on expanding my collection of wearable as well as aiming to participate in some markets!
Good morning and Happy New Year to you and the amazing Expression Fiber Arts team! I end everyday knitting; there is something calming about the rhythm of knitting stiches. I am currently working on the Gradient shawl. It goes without saying, your beautiful yarns are my favorite!
I’m still working on all of my Christmas gifts for friends (everything up to December 25 is for the fam and after I’m done with theirs I move on to friends lol, they know the drill) so I’m currently knitting up a fish cushion and soon will start on a shawl for a friend and fuzzy socks for another friend’s husband haha not a bad way to kick off the year for yarn crafting imo
My plans in 2024 are to enhance my skills in knitting lace designs using lightweight fingering – preferably Oasis Camel Silk fingering. I purchased quite a few skeins of it during the year-end sales and am looking forward to some stunning lace shawls.
What a beautiful way to start a new year! Thank you again for these lovely giveaways!
I have a gazillion knitting projects planned for 2024: several sweaters, including one with polar bears on it for my man, and another polar bear one for myself, and my sweet daughter-in-law may have a birthday wish, and this year I *will* have that Yule sweater done in time! And there are the cardigans for everyday wear sitting around in skein-state … Also, I want to knit my wedding dress.
We’re not even mentioning little things like socks and mittens and hats and shawls, are we?
Happy New Year to all!
I plan to work on knitting down my stash, finishing WIPs, and reworking items I had previously made for my brother who lost everything in a fire. He’s completely fine, he wasn’t home, but he lost everything. So a biiiiig (six pound!) blanket, some cushy pillows, wash and dish cloths, and a colorwork hat are all on the list to complete by his 2/9 birthday…yikes!!
My crafting plans for this year are to finish up a bunch of WIPs, and use up some stash. I will probably join in a CAL or KAL, also.
My crafty plans for this year are to finish the multitude of WIPs that I have and to learn needle felting
To make as many cardigans as humanly possible! Yes, that’s my plan for the new year. After all, a girl can never have too many cardigans!… lol
Love all you do Chandi. Love all EFA yarns and your patterns are always so easy to follow… A big thank you and a happy and healthy New Year to you and to all around you.
Cheers and good luck to me! 🙂
My craft plans are to learn Tunisian crochet. Personal plans include moving out of FL to a colder climate for my health believe it or not!! Happy 2024 everyone!! 💕
Primary focus will be on donations for those in need.
Happy New Year! I plan on finishing all my wips and any projects that I have bought yarn for and set aside before I start a new one! Wish me luck!
I think the only crafting that I’ll be doing this year is knitting and crocheting.
Hoping the New Year brings me time to finish last year’s MKAL, which took a back seat, even though I vowed it would not! So much yarn, and too little time….but, never too much yarn;)
Well, let’s see…currently knitting a baby blanket for grand baby #11…still working on the 5th reincarnation of your Darcy shawl…it’s now Pink Rain…a tank I started last winter…the temperature blanket I started LAST New Years Eve…and the socks I started sometime ago…it just goes on and on!
Donating more for those in need (both young and old).
I intend to use up some stash so I can taste so of these beautiful new- to -me yarns!
I’m going to work on some new knitting projects and hopefully use up some yarns already in my stash.
I’m looking forward to diving deeper into knitting this year and learning a few new skills (brioche, maybe – and definitely making my first pair of socks!).
What a super-cool and fun giveaway! Thank you!!! As far as crafting plans go, I LOVE to crochet, but am planning to try to learn to knit in 2024. I’d also like to try and complete 1 project each month, which might be a lot, but hey, I want to try! 🙂 Happy New Year!!!
I plan to knit cardigans. It is what I use most and am sorely lacking in my wardrobe.
I really have to finish my Ranunculus this year. I’m ready to do the sleeves and they intimidate me. But, try I must.
I have felt the need to do a sweater, but I’m super scared. I have the yarn and the beginner sweater tutorial, but haven’t tapped into it yet. I also promised to knit my daughter a few things. Finally convinced my husband that he needs a beanie too haha. I really think my focus this year is more fitted wearables. I want something cozy for myself that I can basically live in!!
une bonne et belle année 2024 et toujours de très jolis photos
I plan to make Crossaster with my newly purchased Purity and Banana alpaca silk yarn. Best wishes for the New Year.
Happy New Year! I’d love to weave more and to make a cardigan with the Tunisian crochet technique. And, of course, knit a lot and learn entrelac.
First project of 2024 is a pair of leggings knit in white angora – a request from a local photographer.
Wow! What an amazing giveaway! I have a dozen or so projects that I need to finish. I also would like to make more tops and sweaters. I love the patterns on your site. I’ve only completed one so far, but I am looking forward to trying one each month in 2024. Happy New Year!
Socks! I am going to knit socks this year!
Is it possible to knit up a 4×4 test knit on the colored skeins. Give us a better look n see how it works up. I see many i would like but fear it will work up choppy. Just an idea
For 2024, i just want to finish a few projects i started in the last 3 years. 2023 was super slow the second half since i picked up a part time job.
Happy New Year! I plan to finally get started on a hexagon cardigan some time this year. I’ve been eyeing that pattern for far too long. Wish me luck!
So many crafting ideas!! I plan on finishing the spinning of my fiber stash. I want to learn peg looming to use up some yarn stash to make way for new yarn to create a sweater or maybe a new afghan.
2024 plans are to complete Muisca (using artistic sport–will you be releasing that again, it’s fun to work with), and then planning using my stash of worsted to make Twisted, and my mirage sport kit to make Undulation.
So many beautiful colors! Looking forward to lots of crocheting this year. I got five new fancy crochet hooks for Christmas in all different sizes, so I get to play with all the yarn weights!
I always have numerous knitting projects on the needles in varying stages of construction. I hope to finish my five current ones in the next month or so (without starting any new ones) and then tackle some old cross-stitch projects that have been waiting to be completed for years! Lol 😂
I plan to finish an afghan I’m making for my grandson and his future bride; finish a poncho for myself made with EFA fingering yarn and maybe start Daisy! I “go with the flow”!
I love every single yarn I have bought. Not only color but beautiful in everything. Thank you for the feee patterns xoxo
New Year’s greetings from Canada!
Happy 2024…..can you believe it! Thank you for the fabulous contest.
Besides knitting socks, I am planning on starting a heavier pullover sweater sort of in the Icelandic style only designed in Newfoundland Canada. I’ve had the yarn (Canadian made Briggs & Little) for a few months and I’m eager to get started….it should be a quick knit hopefully!
Im going to finish the shawl im working on and then I want to try socks! And probably more shawls!
Besides finishing the projects I am currently working on, I have yarn I bought without an immediate project in mind, so I am hoping to find something inspiring to make.
My crafting projects for 2024 include baby gifts for a couple of my co-workers as well as new things for my teens and brother.
Gorgeous yarns once again. I’m hoping to crochet the Mosaic Jumper. I’ve got the yarn, now I just need to find the time. All the best to you and yours in 2024.
My 2024 crafting plans are to use up my yarn stash and to give my knitting and crocheting makes to family and friends. And to try lots of new patterns.
This year all the old works in progress will come out to play, so they can get their own quality time. Some are so close to be finishing and others have a ways to go before they get to the finish line. This will gift more time in the future to create new projects.
Continue to work on my stash, and finish up old projects. Currently semi-designing a vintage cricket vest.
Your yarn is beyond beautiful !!!
I’m hoping to make a sweater or two as well as 2-3 shawls. I also want to finish two hooked wool pieces and continue learning wreath construction
Happy New Year!!! 😊😊
First plans, soon as I finish at least 1 WIP ( or who knows maybe earlier!) is to start the beautiful Jemez sweater using EFA yummy dewey dk! I am going to swatch any day! 😬
Happy New Year! I just finished making the Embrasser Scarf/Shawl. Last year I made 3 blankets, 2 of them fit a queen size bed, i also knitted and crocheted some hats, Scarves, shawls and Christmas ornaments. 99% of all I made i gave away. This year I am going to concentrate on making some things for myself. Wish me luck, as someone already asked me to make them a sweater. lol
Happy New Year!!! Other than wanting to KNIT ALL THE THINGS….I am looking at your contest yarn and plotting some projects. LOVE the boucle!!!!
My crochet goal for this year is to finish the two Sunset Pineapple WIPS I started for my two close friends back home. We moved from California to the Midwest so I wanted to make them something they could put around their shoulders like a hug. Then, Lord willing, I’ll make one for myself too!
I’m attempting Anuket, a pattern from Expression Fiber Arts! Also crocheting an asymmetrical cowl when I’ve just learned to crochet. Still learning about yarn and gauges. Thank you for all you teach us!
I plan on progressing onto sweaters this year. Working on the lapel of capullo today and winding the yarn for caitri. That will be my first cardigan. 😊
My crafing plans this year include knitting a sweater, crocheting a dress, sewing a pair of pants, and finishing a quilt from last year.
Happy new year! In 2024, I’d like to learn Tunisian crochet. I already know a little knitting, and I’m pretty strong in my crochet skills, but I think it would be fun to also be able to do some Tunisian crochet patterns as well.
My crafting plans for 2024 are to complete my goal of crocheting blankets for each of my 7 children. I managed to get a jump start and have 3 completed already, and I have 3 in the works, but still have a ways to go. I want to gift all personally made items this 2024 Christmas, and I’m excited to do that so that my children will always have something to remember me by.
I am so thankful I found you on Facebook. I have enjoyed your yarn. I love your yarn and it makes such beautiful creations. Thank you.
More knitting – socks, sweater, shawl, hats…..
My first crafting project this year is to make a centerpiece for a niece’s baby shower in less than two weeks – it is a 3D train made from paper. I’m also working on finishing the Seinesation shawl using the purple hued luster sport yarn kit. Wishing you all a New year full of wonderful crafting, good experience and health!
My crafting plans for 2024 include de-stashing (so I can buy more squishy pretties obvs) by making socks, starting my Christmas gifts MUCH earlier, and finishing up some WIPs I’ve had going for longer than I’d care to admit!
For 2024 I plan to keep using up yarn and fabric in my stash to actually make the projects they were purchased for. Most of the materials were purchased roighly 10 years ago, pre-kids. I have 5 or 6 quilts to cut and sew and 3 projects worth of yarn. It’s hard to find the time to make crafts with 3 littles.
I just started a shawl with one of my yarn club yarns, and I can’t wait to see how it turns out!
Lovely colors. I am planning on doing more baby items, garments for women and purses. Also, teaching myself how to knit.
Happy New Year! I’m hoping that 2024 will re-spark my creativity and inspire me to be more creative.
I plan to crochet up a storm and am focusing on hand dyed yarns this year! I love making shawls and wraps.
Happy New Year, Chandi!
This year I plan to knit more beaded shawls, cabled fingerless mitts, and a felted bag. Would like to try some new stitches too.
I like projects which don’t use more than 2 skeins of yarn, so I can finish in a couple of weeks and have the excitement of deciding what to make next!
Happy knitting!
I’d love to knit my first pair of socks! Happy New Year
Hello,
My crafting goal for 2024 is to knit my first sweater.
My crafting plans for this year are to complete at least two wips as well as try stranded knitting..
Crafting Plans? I still have two sets of beautiful yarn from you to make a couple shawls with multiple colors…would rather find suitable knit pattern that aren’t exactly stripey, maybe mitre squares? And not crocheted granny squares either, though I have looked at a few flowery ones that might be pretty as well. Time to make decisions so I can at least get started! Once I get started, I find the time…. 😉
I so look forward to your emails! I AM glad to be your lil’ dumplin’, sweet pea and snickerdoodle (that’s my recent favorite!), and I am thankful for your transparent positive vibe. I love that when you feel at low ebb, you know that sending out love to us is a good way to change that for the better. I get so many compliments on my Anuket- I used the same colors you did and it is indeed a stunner. I love to give gifts of my knitting, and wanted to thank you for the gifts of your yarns, your videos (complete with blooper reel!), your emails- all a part of your heart.
Blessings!
I am really excited for 2024. I ordered a christmas advent of minis and am doing a shawl with this yarn. Happy New Years to you and your staff! Rose Stone
My 2024 knitting plans are more intricate color work and interesting sweater designs
2024 is the year of scrap projects, it feels like. I have three unwanted thrift store sweaters I’m unraveling, and they’re giving me all kinds of ideas. Scrap is for “home” projects, though; I’ll always have a “purse” project with something new on the needles.
Happy new Year! My crafting plans are to finish one big project, and of course, the Made By Grammy projects for my grandkids
In 2024, I plan to finish up some quilts that I have outstanding (8 of them in fact, lol) and to start and finish your 2024 MKAL. I have loved working through the last 2 years MKAL’s and look forward to another one. Happy New Year to you Chandi and your team at EFA.
Hi, well, first I would like to finish my sock project. I have already started it in early December, but then I switched to the Christmas gifts I wanted to do. Next one is definitely the amazing Pebbled sweater from your patterns. I was so happy when you made that possible to get some older patterns for free, thank you for that! Than, well, I have a couple of things in my mind, but whatever comes and I fall in love with.
Happy New Year! I have a few projects in the works right now including 2 pairs of socks and the gofleidio shrug! I will be starting my 2nd Creery sweater this week once I receive my new ChiaoGoo needle set!
I love having options when I sit down to knit or crochet so you’ll never find me with only one project in progress!
I plan on participating in my first ever craft fair this year!!
2024 leaves me with a wide open array of things I want to create. First , I’m just finishing a pair of socks. Following socks will be a cardigan using one of expression fiber arts patterns and yarn. Next and probably finally (I do quilting also, so I must share my time with that ) I plan on making a knitted blanket made of soft cuddly yarns. Looking forward to the new year of knitting adventures, classes and new patterns to consider. Thank you for you inspirations.
My crafting plans for 2024 is to try some new techniques including Tunisian crochet in the round. Looking forward to making some amazing new creations!
I plan on knitting more garments and getting the fit right. I want to learn new skills and keep improving. I have so many plans and this year looks promising!
I plan to continue with all things knit & crochet but to start sooner and make more gifts and keep them on hand to give.
I promised my son, when we moved from AZ to OR, that I would make him a cable sweater. That was 5 years ago! So now that he has finally stopped growing (approx 6’5″), I need to get that started! That will be my first project of the year. Then I will work on finishing several projects started last year. And hopefully be able to start some fresh items that have been patiently waiting on my shelves. Plus, I want to do the MKAL for EFA this year, again. So much to do and so little time!
Happy New Year!
I plan on finishing all my crochet and knitting WIPs this year. I would like to knit and crochet several garments, as well.
I plan on finishing up my 2 current wips (tank top and sweater), frogging one (wonky dishcloth), and focusing on using up my scraps in 2024! Of course, I’ll probably add a few more wips along the way, lol. Probably a nice shawl and a pair of socks!
I’m hoping for the time to get back to things that give me joy, such as crochet. I’ve had to break from it for a while and I look forward to diving back in.
Happy New Year 2024. What an Amazing Year!. My expectations are to work with more Luxurious yarns that Expression fiber arts makes. #EFA yarns are yummy. I’m stepping up to my knitting. I’d love to knit more as well as my first craft passion #Crochet.
Frances
My plan is to finish or frog the many WIPs I have going and start the multitude of projects I have yarn alloted for.
Happy New Year! More crocheting and knitting for the new year!!
So far this year I have two blankets in progress, two sweaters, and a cat bed to finish. I also want to get started on summer items soon and a tempature blanket for myself.
Lots and lots of plans to explore new knit and crochet ideas and learn as much as I possibly can along the way!
I have many plans including a temperature blanket for my anniversary, and several sweaters!
I want to finish some projects I’ve been working on forever!!
My crafting plans for 2024 are to delve into my stash and make items that I’ve long owned the yarn for.
For 2024 I plan on making a sweater, a hat, a pair of socks, and a shawl. I already have the yarn now just have to start.
I have a lot of gifts to get done, but I’m most excited to make my first craft fair entry this year!
In 2024 my goal is to complete all of the half-done projects that are laying around looking sad.
Carpal tunnel surgery so I can start enjoying my crafts again. I am learning to weave and hope to finish my temperature blanket this year
Happy New Year everyone! My knitting plans are to do a hat a month, to be ready for next Xmas! New patterns, new yarns to keep it interesting..
Starting my first sweater for me with your Jolly Hues sincere sock yarn.
My 2024 plans include fitting in more time for my crafting – knitting / sewing and crochet.
I’m looking forward to finishing a cardigan that I started. It got put aside during the holidays while I made gifts for friends and family. A large goal I also have is to spin and knit a sweater for myself. I have the fiber and am looking forward to creating it.
i’m going to be working from my stash as much as humanly possible!
My 2024 crafting plans include finishing up my she shed for to display all my yarn and books. Then I will have my own space for my sewing, crocheting, and reading.
I’m going to finish my MCAL i started last year, and then start a year long quilt project!
My plans are to finish my MKAL from 2023 and learn some new skills in knitting and sewing this year.
I’ll be sewing new shirts for my hubby. The man would go around in rags if I didn’t stop him. 🙂
My crafting plan for 2024 is to grow in my crafting knowledge. The more I get involved in the fiber community the more that I learn that I don’t know. So many choices and ways to do things. Deep breath…. You have so many wonderful yarns and I am thankful for the tutorials. Happy New Year. Have a great 2024 everyone!
Happy New Year!! My plan is to use up my stash…and give knitting a go.
Happy New Year! I have many projects planned out for the year – for family, friends, and myself. I am also teaching myself to knit so I can make beautiful garments like my mother did before her passing. I am also trying out different yarns for my patterns. It’s always exciting to see the end results!
I need to finish some wips from 2023 including Crossaster, a crochet portrait I volunteered to make, and a 2014 temperature blanket for my daughter…. Then make her sister one too!
Hoping to get some projects done using my stash this year rather than continuing to build a massive stash :-0
Thanks to your inspiration and gorgeous yarns, I have started to start knitting again, 40 years after I first learned to knit. I’m so excited!
Hi! I have loads of crafting plans! My next endeavor is to learn fair isle knitting and learn more colorwork techniques. Happy new year everyone!
Happy New Year! I just started the Geode cowl with your Pearlescent Fingering. Then I have a list of patterns to make. I love cardigans and long cowls, but should probably work on some summer tops and shawl first.
The main plan for this year (which will likely overflow to next year, and the one after that, and the one after that) is a full-sized double-knit blanket using sports-weight yarn.
I plan to finish my hand sewn quilt top that I started a long while ago(2022) and the Adamas shawl I started last year. I’ve had a bit of a slow down due to work but I’m determined to finish both. After that it’ll take a bit of time to figure out what I want to accomplish in this New Year.
Happy 2024!
This year I am going to learn Tunisian crochet! Hoping to make more clothing other than shawls, wraps, scarves. Ruana’s have caught my eye too. I can’t do socks; they just escape me.
Nel 2024 vorrei fare maglioni ricamati
i’ve been planning to make a pi shawl for several years and have not yet even started.
but 2024 is the year, and it’s going to be my first project!
i’m going to use Elizabeth Zimmerman’s original pattern.
i’m ready to start this month!
wish me luck!!!
🙂
In 2024 I’d love to get even more into crocheting. Over the holidays I received some really beautiful blouse patterns that I’m excited to try. I’d also like to get out my old paints and see what happens. I hope everyone has a happy new year.
I’m knitting my first sweater this year! And going to make some of the MANY projects I’ve purchased yarn for!
I plan to finish knitting a poncho for my preschooler and a wrap for myself that I have been working on for what seems like forever. Plus as much knitting and crochet as I can fit in!
My main plan this year is to finish the many, many UFOs in my knitting closet – its a big closet! I’d like to learn to knit brioche and a few others stitches as well.
What beautiful yarns! In 2024 my plans are more knitting – in 2023 I did mostly crochet. I have been craving the 2 needle experience again, so that means simply finding patterns and needles that match. Thanks so much for the love you show to us. <3
I will continue to crochet every day!! It’s what I do!
My knitting goals are to complete my first pair of socks and complete my first sweater. I’m approaching sleeve island so at least one of those goals is within sight!
Crafting plans: Put a dent in my ever-growing queue of projects (catching up seems like an unrealistic goal at this point 😂).
Happy New Year to all! Looking forward to more knitting this coming year!
I’m planning to do 2 cardigans 2 shawls, 2 hats for my daughters I would love to do it with this color yarn they are beautiful.
I plan to spin an alpaca blanket I acquired and make a sweater!
While I love to knit and sew I am looking at trying my hand at crochet and maybe taking a class to learn to use the drop spindle in 2024
So many beautiful yarns! I hope to knit a sweater this year, finish a Colina baby blanket before delivering in February, and all the little things along the way – skirts for my daughters, maybe practicing some little knit socks, and hopefully finishing 2023mcal – I’m way back on about clue 4!
My plans are to finish my Flax sweater using up my stash of Dewy Dk. It is so soft and squishy.
I wish I hand enough time and money to use more of your yarns, they are all beautiful.
I hope to knit a beautiful sweater! I knit and crochet; however, I have done much more with crochet so far. I made the Sweet Pea shawl recently. So, for 2024 I intend to hone up on more advanced knitting skills! I also plan to try some weaving. Happy New Year!!💜🎆
My hope is to finish every knit and cross stitch project I have started over the years. And to knit a sweater for each of my sisters. Gotta go, I have so much to do!
Hi Chandi 🌞
I plan on starting the Sweetgum cardigan. It’s one that I have thought about often. I’m still not that confident on my skill level, but going to dive into it anywgo😬😜😄
Happy New Year to you and yours 🎉
This year I intend to crochet down my stash, lol. Mom has requested hat and gloves and I’ll probably add a scarf if I have enough matching yarn. Then start creating things I’ve wanted to for years, I’ve collected many of your patterns, I just have to match stash yarn to them! I also want to get back to painting, it’s been way too long, the pandemic killed my inspiration and I want to dispel that depression and get on with getting on… with a good solid life. Happy New Year to you Chandi, thanks for the inspiration.
Hi Chandi
I plan on starting the Sweetgum cardigan. It’s one that has been on my list for quite sometime. I’m not sure if my skill level is there yet but I’m tackling it this January.😬😜😄
Happy New Year 🎊 to you and yours 🎉🥳
I plan on making the MKAL this year along with a skirt and I have a supernatural themed c2c blanket started.
I plan on finishing a hat & shawl. Hopefully!!
Happy New Year to all! My plans for 2024 include making blankets and learning new things like Tunisian Crochet in the round. I’m also hoping to actually start selling things through the Etsy shop I set up just before I landed a more-than-full-time job after being a stay-at-home mom for several years.
I have such a long wishlist of craft projects for 2024! Socks, sweaters, and now I’ve started quilting, too! I need more time in a year!
I have so may knit and crochet projects planned it will be hard to decide where to start
I have my projects lined up – starting with Ponchoesque. But first, finish a vest for my mom; mini stockings for decorating next year, a gnome or two and baby sweater, booties and blanket for my next great grandbaby due in July! Thank you for your awesome yarns! Love them
I think for this year I plan to knit myself a few jumpers, already have the yarn for both the Edison and the Fenmount. I have always wanted to do the Fenmount so will be tackling knitting in a round which is something i always put off with it being a big project. The Edison is a crochet jumper which i have never done before so this is going to be a first for me. Hopefully learn new things to improve my crochet skills and push myself a little bit more. I have always wanted to try macrame so this year i may give that a go.
Happy New Year! My first priority is to finish my daughter-in-law’s granny cardigan that didn’t make it under the tree. After that finish some other projects and use up my stash with one of those multiple stitch afghans that I can work on all year. I have a few patterns for some spring/summer tanks and sweaters that I’d like to get done for myself. For my big learn something new I want to try mosaic crochet.
I want to learn how to read and understand more complex knitting patterns and make more complex projects that test my skills and help me learn!
Hopefully to get caught up on all the patterns from EFA that I purchased yarn for last year. There’s a lot of them.
I need to sort through stash, see what’s been hiding. Recently found some cross stitch started but not finished so that’s my 2024 start. Also I’ve decided that socks will be my go to for knitting, as it satisfies both the quieting of the mind with the added result of quick(ish) finishes.
Knit my first sweater! Maybe crochet a few too!!
Hi! My 2024 plans include finishing some of the many crochet and knit UFOs in my craft room! I also want to get some crochet pattern designs out of my head, written out, and tested.
First grand baby due this year! Lots of knitting and crocheting baby items!❤️
I need to finish one gift – for a friend who’s been out of town so we will do “New Year” gifts in the next month or so – I’m not late! After that, I need to pick a new project to start!
I’ve knit for twenty years, so I’ve decided to learn how to crochet as well! So 2024 will have a mixture of knitting for pleasure and crocheting to learn a new skill.
I have 2 friends having babies in 2024 that I will be knitting for! I also want to knit a sweater for myself.
Happy New Year!
I plan on for once to make something for myself, not sore yet whether I will knit or crochet it. I have a number of patterns I would like to try.
Happy New Year to all of you and have lots of fun.
My first plan for 2024 is to clean up the mess my crafts room has become since the COVID pandemic started. I am looking forward to being able to find the things I’m looking for, to see better the weights and colors of my extensive yarn stash and to actually have room to cut out a quilt or two again.. I’m also working on a plan to “rehome” elsewhere in my house, the semi-feral cat we adopted about 8 years ago, who, during COVID, moved into my fabric closet and has created chaos there. And, as always, I plan to finish all my WIPs (and create new ones!), and share my joy at doing this work with the world – or a small piece of it. Happy New Year 2024!
What gorgeous yarns!
I am planning to finish some outstanding knitting projects, including a cardigan I started back in 2019. I’m also going to knit up a shawl and maybe some socks and hats. Finally, I’m going to dust off my spinning wheel and try again to learn how to spin. 🙂
My craftung plans include making a quilt for my granddaughter’s 10th birthday and making a scrappy long-sleeved sweater. TI still have to finish a vst and a worsted weight sweater.
Hi Chandi! This year I am excited to continue on my knitting journey learning more and more techniques. I still haven’t tried brioche so that is def. on my list. Have a wonderful New Year!
It’s my hope to fill 2024 with knitted gifts and other crafted creations made with my kiddos.
I hope to make more amigurumi and start making Christmas presents for this year.
Happy New Year from Australia. 2024 is going to be a busy Knitting and crocheting year for me with a new great granddaughter plus moving to a colder state, lots more shawls for me! Love love love your yarn! X
My plans for 2024 include finishing a shawl in time for our County Fair, knitting my BF a sweater, finishing a pair of socks I started, two baby blankets before May, and getting a head start on Christmas for next year.
I will be doing some embroidery soon, trying to come up with my own patterns.
Finish existing projects and then get my Ravelry queue under control 😉
My 2024 plans include Knitting, Crocheting, Quilting and anything else that strikes my fancy!
I plan to knit myself a sweater. I have made many sweaters for grandchildren and lots of shawls, but it’s been a while since I made a sweater for myself.
Hoping to slow down and have more time for knitting. There are sooooo many projects I want to work on! Gifts for friends are topping the list, since family got handmade goodies this year.
I am going to make some pretty dresses with smocking on their yoke for my beautiful little grand-daughter. And knit, and crochet a lot.
Happy New Year to us all !
I have been crocheting for a while now, but only just started knitting a few months ago. In 2024, I plan to take my knitting skills from beginner to intermediate by adding knitted sweaters and accessories to my wardrobe!
My crafting plans are to make and donate hot water bottle covers, beanies and other comforting items to my local cancer center. I also want to Finish a cardigan that I started in December. Happy New Year! 🎉🥳❤️❤️❤️
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. Wishing you a beautiful New Year, full of amazing adventures.
I have going to make 3 Musicas, 3 Father Sky scarves and an Incantation. As well as a few lapgans that I have not decided on patterns.
All the yarn looks fantastic. I need to try and finish two afghans for family, and I really want to make me one finally.
I’m joining a bigger firm soon. Gotta focus on career building and family time so crafting will take a backseat this year. Plan to join the MCAL again and crochet small stash busting items throughout the year.
I plant to crochet, then crochet some more, and when that is done, crochet something else 🙂 I just hope to have some time as well to be able to do it 🙂
I’m still working on Sky Father, Dichondra, and Incantation. One I finish those up I’ll start on a sweater for my grandson (already bought some Enduring worsted for that). All that should keep me busy for a while.
2024 yikes.. finish a quilt that has been in the works for 4 years… hand quilting takes hourrrrrrrrs.
Knitting a stranded jumper/tunic I just purchased the pattern for (so now it’s time to get the yarn.
Finish spinning the roving that I want to weave into a tote I have planned out.
Weaving the towels the family always requests for gifts
And spend time helping mom (95yrs. Young) finish knitting the blanket for her greategreate granddaughter (which makes #12)
And whatever else I can fit into 365 days. But the first is finishing the jumper I made for my daughter that was too big and have to remake
I plan to learn some new techniques this year and finish more projects than I rip out!
2024 will be very busy with home, family and career changes, moving. But knitting will keep me sane through it all. I’m going to enter the world of fair isle and master steeking this year! And work on turning my stash into beautiful FOs.
My main plan is to finish what I have already started before starting anything else. This plan has failed before.
Happy New Year! I’m hoping to knit or crochet a hat and a pair of socks each month.
I am hoping to knit my first sweater in 2024. I also plan to expand my knowledge and skill level in lace knitting.
I plan to crochet a blanket for my niece before she goes to college, a beanie for the baby my friend just announced she’s having, and the Sweetheart Cardi for me in the gorgeous chunky yarn I just bought! I’m also teaching a friend to crochet and learning to knit. I’m thankful my job has a group that meets regularly to do crafts together. It’s going to be a busy year!
I plan to finish off a few shawls that I have queued up.
Nine plus pairs of socks, 2 sweaters, 3 or 4 cardigans .. one of them an all over color work and my first steek, a Sophi scarf, a Candy Stripe Cowl, probably a gnome or two, and an Izzy Doll or two.
I’m working on finishing an afghan for my brother and starting another one for my sister. I also want to knit a new scarf and hat for me. I’m a slow knitter but I enjoy learning new stitches.
I plan on crocheting and I got a sewing machine for Christmas, so hopefully I’ll be able to figure out how to use that! 😀
I mostly knit, but I’m thinking of making a crochet blanket that I can work on between projects or when I need something simple.
This year is gonna be focusing on finishing the 20+ projects I started last year as well as a temperature Blanket and restocking my business for pop-ups and fairs
Main goal is to complete some works in progress. Would also like to make a chunky pullover crocheted hoodie I found a pattern for. Perhaps start some sewing projects too.
I can’t find where should I write my comment, not a reply on somebody else’s comment. I hope this reply will be counted as a comment🙂
I am going to crochet some toys, but not with 3,5 mm hook as i usually do, but using 5 mm hook. Something new for me in the past years😀
I’m working on a top down patterned sweater for myself, crochet. And then I hope to make myself a new purse. After that I will work on a few things to try to sell, I hope. I decided it was time to make myself something. 😊
My biggest plan for 2024 is to go on vacation to Florida with my “Zoom Sisters” and learn to knit this summer. I can not wait!!
I would like to knit and finish a sweater with out having to seam piece’s together.
This year, I plan on learning to do some qiviut lace knitting. I finally bought some for myself, and I have always wanted a qiviut smokering
For 2024 I want to keep learning new knitting and crochet techniques (especially crochet, because as a longtime knitter I am very new to crochet). Lots of sweaters, shawls, cowls, and socks are in my queue. I love the colors in the January giveaway and it would be amazing to win. I’m sure I would put all of it to good use! Thanks for the chance to win and for all you do, Chandi!
I will be doing journalling, knitting lap throws and crafts of all sorts
Happy new year Chandi and the entire team!
I hope to make and finish at least one of the followings: a cardigan, a shawl, a vest, a sweater and a blanket.
Thank you for all that you and your team do… it is an inspiration for me to keep up with my passion for crocheting. And I will learn how to knit along the way.
All the best in 2024!
Tammy
I don’t make plans because my co-workers and friends always send me requests to make items for them. One day I would like to make something for myself 😁
My 2024 crafting goals is to try new things. Whether it be new type of crafts like diamond painting which is up first, or new type of crochet projects like amigurumi, or teaching myself to knit, or adding new crochet techniques to my arsenal. I normally pattern test garments, cowls, scarves so looking to do more home decor type stuff too. I have a couple of patterns that I have that are selfish makes as they are not for payyern tests.
I am hoping to finally finish a granny square cardigan. I have started a couple but never finished any. Happy New Year!
For 2024 I’m determined to learn some new crocheting and knitting stitches!
I’m finally going to finish my WIPs and UFOs. I’m also going to try my hand at a temperature blanket. Happy New Year to you and yours!!
2024 will be for finishing my 2023 wips, making some crochet granny square projects, and participating in mKALs!
My 2024 goals are to keep learning new crochet techniques by attempting new projects. I have started my first sweater with some gorgeous cashmere/silk blend, working on a couple of headbands/ear warmers for my golf-addicted sister-in-law, and a mindless baby blanket when I need something easy and relaxing.
Socks, socks & more socks! My husband has FINALLY decided he likes hand knit socks, and he wears a size 14! I need to make half a dozen pairs for him. Also, I’m making oversized hot pads. Quilted with insulbrite. They’re to put hot baking dishes on and protect the countertops.
My 2024 crafting plans are to actually carve out time weekly at night to work on all the things I’ve been wanting to start (and finish) for years. Also to finish setting up my basement craft space before summer.
My knitting plans for 2024: baby gift items, hats for charity, sweaters for grandchildren
Hopefully finishing all my WIPs! Hoping also Karoo crochet this year.
My plans are to make the Mou Leipeis Poncho for myself. I am always making for others and I want to complete something just for me! I am waiting on my shipment of yarn to get started.
I know I have two infant sweaters I need to complete before June. Such beautiful yarn-so many choices.
Still debating what my other creations will be. Am a proficient crocheter and advanced beginner knitter.
Happy New Year and inspiring creating.
I’m planning a few cozy wardrobe staples and a couple of colourwork projects. Trying new techniques, being inspired by others and most of all finding enjoyment in every stitch. Wishing you all a wonderful 2024!!
Hopefully to make twice as much as I did last year! (I didn’t make very much in 2023)
Crafting plans for 2024… a lot, knit, crochet, sew and learn something new every month. We’re so fortunate, 2024 has one more doy!
Hiya Chandi!! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and New Year!! My crafting goals for 2024 are vast and ambitious, but I am not going to be disappointed if I don’t reach them all. I want to better my knitting and try some new things with it. Try embroidery and needle felting, try epoxy resin, and also some other things!! Good Luck everyone and thank you for the chance!
I’m so excited about venturing into making wearables. Sweaters, cardigans, coats, etc I currently have a cotton crochet tshirt on my hook. Can’t wait to finish it and wear it this summer. Love you beautiful luscious yarns. Do you have any linen yarns coming up for the summer?
I have many crafting plans (including embroidery)!
I always have such big plans, and this year I’ve decided not to plan – its too stressful when I don’t make my goals or have extra gifts come holiday and birthday times. Instead I’m going to focus on getting a little knitting or crocheting in every day, and balancing my current work life in order to fit it in!
I started my new year off by starting a crochet alpaca shawl for myself. Other projects on the hook lots and lots of hats for charity. I plan this year to learn new techniques and improve my knitting skills. Also going to make time to create a shawl with your beautiful hand dyed yarn.
2024: lots of knitting. I have a blanket from two years ago to finish (the Blanket of Many Stitches-i have three more sections to go). I started a sweater this past fall, but got sidetracked with Christmas gifts. Always a pair of socks on the needles. And then there’s crochet projects, Artist Trading Cards and time with tge grandson–who loves doing crafts with me.
Crocheting more garments! I am craving a more unique and personalized wardrobe – trying to plan out making that happen with handknits.
I have several projects that have been partly done for years. I’d like 2024 to be the year to get back to them and finish. I also want to do more knitting with multiple colours.
2023 saw a lot of crafting for sale at a market stall we had … in 2024 I would really love to make myself something special …. As a bonus some of chandi’s special yarn to make it with would be truely amazing
Crafting plans for 2024 is to knit a poncho, cardigan, learn illusion/shadow knitting, finish my work in progress. Knit hats for the homeless and chemo hats.
I plan to complete a scarf for my cousin. Julie helped me so much when both of my parents died in 2021, 2022. I would also like to knit a shawl for my aunt. She and mom went to Ireland 20 years ago. The yarn I plan to use is a Blarney Stone Speckle. Both my mom and her sister shared the same birthday, January 31. I also would like to organize my yarn collection.
My biggest plan is to finish up any UFOs and sell/gift away all my completed projects. I’m looking forward to starting over with a clean slate.
I have just retired, so I plan to crochet more, and finally learn how to knit!
My phrase for 2024 is “Make Space”
I plan to Make Space for more creativity…knitting, quilting, cooking….
Also Make Space” for more reading
no plans yet
2024 knitting plans include trying something new like a knitted top.
Happy new year 🎉
Weaving as usual, learning nalbinding (sp) techniques, helping daughter learn crochet, have an embroidery kit to work on.
We will be welcoming our first grandbaby this year so I am planning to crochet some mittens, beanies and blankets.
I would like to finish my wonder cardigan, learn to knit as there are just too many gorgeous patterns for me to ignore that skill😊. But I look forward to the 2024 CAL the most as it would be my first time joining in.
I’m hoping to improve my crocheting skills by making more wearables that aren’t scarves or hats.
A few weeks before Christmas, I offered to help a local lady crochet some hats for a local homeless shelter. My husband decided to buy a loom and help. Now he owns a knitting machine and our little group made the 200-hat goal for two shelters! He’s getting a head start on next year and is going to sell a few to put back into the group’s stash.
My MIL gave me her grandma’s knitting needles. I’m inspired to learn to knit.
In 2024 I intend to finish all the WIP that are waiting for me 🙂 and maybe learn to knit cables, I saw some gorgeous patterns that use cables (mittens, cowls and hats).
I’m planning to crochet a few bags, finish my WIP blanket, going to start a mood blanket, figure out something to do with some beautiful lace and sock yarn that I have.
I’m hoping to make some lovely blankets for my family in 2024!
I’m just hoping to knit something for me — I have several nieces and nephews who are having children which means baby sweaters, plus a few to finish, and afghans (my standard family wedding gift).
I need to knit a blanket for my daughter that she requested. Other than that I plan to knit whatever I feel like.
My plan for 2024 is to actually make something with the supplies I have, rather than ordering more supplies and not making anything! This includes yarns and beads.
I’m hoping to get a couple of blankets completed that I started, a few other projects completed, and I want to try to do more knitting practice.
2024 is a time for more crafting. Lots more weaving and more on learning knitting! More spinning too. Have to keep my hands in beautiful fibers.
First I need to complete a pair of knitted socks, fingerless mitts, and a crocheted blanket that didn’t get done for Christmas! Then, I’d like to make something for me, but I’m not sure yet what that will be …
I’m so excited about 2024!! I AM going to participate in a KAL. I have always been to afraid of trying to keep up. I am going to extend my color pallet and go out of my comfortable zone. I want 2024 to be a year of 1st. I want to create beautiful memories and let my creativity flow. ✨️ I wish everyone a year of the same. I want to be more involved in the fiber community and find yarnie friends!!! Wishing us all the best! EFA I hope you have a great year and hope to see a YARN ADVENT come out in 2024!! To US ALL for a wonderful 2024!!❤️❤️❤️✨️✨️✨️💋
Hm. Crafting goals in 2024 include learning simple quilting/EPP, actually planning my knitting year and prioritizing projects, letting go of stash that needs a new home that will love it as much as I did, and a pair of socks per month.
Happy New Year to all !!!! I just ordered my first set of interchangeable needles! I haven’t really had a chance to make any plans yet, but I would really like to make my first pullover and/or a cardigan.
2024 will see me making a few sweaters for myself, granddaughter & daughters. I will also be learning the art of knitting. I have spent the last year and a half honing my crochet skills, and feel very good about my proficiency there, so am now ready to tackle something new. 2024 – Here I Come!
Finish up a scarf I’m currently working on and start knitting a blanket
This year’s plan is to finish up all of my almost finished WIPs😁
Happy New Year! This year I am teaching my daughters how to crochet and knit!
Happy New Year, Chandi!
My crafting plans for this year: to finish up the crochet crafts I started last year, to pick up painting again, and to teach myself knitting!
Socks, socks, and more socks! I’m so tired of my feet being cold! And this yarn is just sitting here glaring at me!
I am currently working on some projects, a cardigan, socks for my son, a dress for my 4 year old, and some toys my daughter has asked for. Plan is to finish all and than start a blanket that’s been on my mind.
Lots of gift knitting planned, beyond that, will see where my stash takes me 😉
Completing that sweater is on my list, then I will be searching for a new project to begin!
I’ve been contemplating tackling my first sweater or pair of socks for quite a while. So, 2024 might be the year. In the meantime, I’m going to continue to work on my seasonal placemat WIPs and a few straggling UFOs.
I am planning to learn how to knit! I am a crocheter who has always been intimidated by knitting haha but got a nice new set of needles for Christmas so I guess this is the year to finally learn 🙂
Finish 3 projects that sat all last year. Make an entire sweater
My crafting plans are to use the Smitten Kitten yarn I got this year to make the Caitri pattern from your shop. And it’ll be the first crocheted thing I’ve made just for myself! It’s such a dream to work with, I can’t wait to try more of your luscious yarn. Then, I plan on making a purse for my mom, a Christmas stocking for my granddaughter, and various amigurumi, beanies, tops, shawls, scarfs and blankets for the rest of my family.
Happy New Year everyone! 🥳🎉😊💕. I have so many things I want to learn! I made a list a few years ago with ideas of things I want to learn and do and I keep adding to my list. Thank you for this contest and good luck everyone! 😊💕🧶
I’m finally starting to learn to knit! Although I have been crocheting for a few years, knitting felt intimidating – what to do when you drop a stitch? 😱 My goal is to knit a top down, raglan sweater this year 😊
Hi and happy new year 2024 to all.
safe happy and love filled. 😀
I will finish the several sweaters I have started – one pull over in Luster, another pull over in several shades of ruby and yarns using the stitch pattern of I think Riptide, one is a crochet waist cardigan using mostly moon gleam & Oasis yarns. I am sure I have one more sweater to finish. THEN I can start my plans for a coat/poncho. I also have a bunch of varied yarns that my mom sent me that I have plans to make a heavy blanket. Stephanie in NM
I would love to learn how to create those small knitted stuffed animals this year!
I would like to make shawl for my self. Because I think I deserve to appreciate my self. I fall in love with the sunset diamond pattern shawl. I just found this website not long ago, since then I keep following and keep an updated pattern and yarn. I was so scared with the fingering weight but when I saw all the fingering yarn on EFA I just want it and I’m so confident to purchase fingering yarn. And the sunset diamond shawl just makes me more excited about fingering yarn
I plan to complete all my WIPs, including 2 sweaters and several shawls. I also plan on knitting a pair of elephant motif mittens for sister.
Try to work through the stash faster than I add to it 😉
Knit more scarves to donate.
A good friend just gave me some wonderful variegated wool to knit a scarf and mittens out of. Other than that, knitting and sewing for grandkids will occupy me.
Lots of knitting and hopefully more time to spin and sew as well. And finish processing that raw fleece before I cave and buy another one! 🐑
Lovely colors 🙂 and happy year 2024 to all of you
Up first for me is my first graphgan for my brothers birthday followed by a skirt and shawl for my mother’s birthday and then mothers day. I do need to find some projects to get rid of some left over yarn from 2023 projects
My plan for 2024 is to burn through my yarn stache, which is going to be difficoult since I’m already scouting the page for new yarn 😀 But seriously on the immediate list are finishing Querencia, starting Faie and making another Giselle sweather.
I’m planning on taking a break from artisan markets and crocheting more for myself this year!
Oh how i love yarn squishy yarn ❤️ i will be knitting socks and more socks. I will also be knitting for my 6 month old grandson. My 10 yr old grandaon who loves the Pittsburgh Penguins. My 12 yr old frans daughter who loves amything i make for her.❤️.then more socks cauae to are my favorite thing to makw
Hello Chandi,
This new year I am open and looking for new projects 😊
I plan on finishing the blanket I’m working on and making my first sweater!
For 2024, I have a sweater that needs finishing, then I’m planning on using up a lot of my stash by making lots of small items (scarves, cowls) while learning new techniques, items that I’ll give away as gifts later on.
I want to finish all my wips from 2023.
Happy New Year everyone🥳 Other than my usual knitting for charity & Christmas gifts, I plan to knit myself a shawl and cardigan!
Happy New Year! I’m planning on making some of your gorgeous patterns with my luster sport !
The EFA MCAL!!! Plus experimenting with various types of yarns!
My crafting plans include fiber prep for Spin Together in February to be able to have homespun for a fibonacci blanket in Spring! Finishing wips, di toe up socks with fish lip kiss heel-both new techniques.
I started my first temperature blanket this week, so that will continue throughout the year. I’m sure that I’ll knit lots more hats. Maybe I’ll get the courage up to try a sweater this year…
Happy new year! I’m looking forward to finishing up some WIPs that have been hanging on my mind (one for over a decade!) and on my needles. Once they’re done I want to make lots of functional garments so I can replace my synthetic wardrobe with higher quality apparel.
I plan on making small weavings and crocheted ornaments to give away. I also plan to make a coral reef tapestry.
First of all….. thank you, Chandi, for this lovely giveaway!!
I’m looking forward to finishing WIP that have been waiting patiently while I’ve had more pressing gift projects. In 2024, I want to focus on donation knitting/crocheting … thinning out my stash in the process. I would also like to join a knitting group. I’ve been reluctant in the past to participate because of being unsure of my yarn skills. Out of the blue, I’ve been invited in the past week to join two diff. groups. Possibly that’s a ‘good thing to do’ message? Anyway, I have lots of options of what to accomplish in 2024. Now, I just need to focus on doing them!
Wishing our world more peace in 2024!
I have been knitting baby blankets as gifts for awhile now, but this year, I would like to make a full size Afghan for my mother. I don’t think she will use it, lol, but nonetheless, I would love to complete it for her.
I want to learn to spin in 2024. Have spinning wheel!
I have 25 bags kitted out with tools in which partially started UFOs live. My 2024 goal is to finish ALL of these projects or at least sort out the ones I do want to complete. The others will be repurposed for donating to our Spinning Guild’s yearly auction! I am not calling this my “new year’s resolution” but “The Determination”!

Crochet 🧶 Increasing my knitting skills 🧶 Tunisian
My best friend has 6 grandchildren (I have 3, all of whom live out of state, as in, a 4-hour plane flight), ranging from 17 to 3, and I love them all dearly. Two of her granddaughters are turning 13 in the fall, so I HOPE I can knit them each a shawl in their favorite colors. I’m still working on Nautile for myself. Finally, I have 4 yards of 108″ wide plaid fabric, with which I HOPE I can sew an ankle length circle skirt, with deep pockets, for myself. My waist is not small anymore, so I need a bit more fabric to accommodate my *ahem* curves. LOL. But knitting is my first love, so just trying to knit as many shawls and hats as I can manage with my little bits of spare time. The tutorials are inspiring and so helpful, too!
Make more cardigans, sweaters and tops! I really want to work on the Creery sweater.
Happy New Year! First I am going to finish a sweater I am crocheting with EFA Morning Frost Luster Worsted…loving it. Then, more sweaters/tops; finish a mosaic crochet bedspread; maybe make a mosaic crochet runner or two; maybe participate in the EFA MCAL! Not leave too many WPI!
This year I plan on knitting, sewing, cross-stitching, basket making, quilling, and more knitting (hopefully no more than 2 projects going at a time).
I want to knit and crochet a little something to all my friends and family members this year.
My crafting plan is to purchase and/or make what brings me joy. Thanks it! No stash downs, no WIP finishing focus, no rules, just joy.
1 sweater, 1 top, 1 shawl 🙂
Hi Chandi, My plans for 2024 are to continue growing within knit projects. I have ordered a couple of Afghan Kits for myself and would love to start knitting myself a few wearables (if possible). In between, I have a few crochet projects, as gifts for family, which I would love to get done…🙏
Hope to start making one or more tops and sweaters …
I want to get brave enough to knit socks. I also want to block all the crochet items I’ve been piling up cause I hate blocking…it’s definitely not the fun part
Hello, Happy New year. Planning on some crochet & knitting projects . Might also try knocking.
I just got engaged and need to at least finish a shawl I’ve been picking at for ages. I’m going to take a few more projects out of my UFO bin after that. Some socks, a sweater, a couple of blankets….
I am planning to make the 2024 MCAL. I enjoyed the 2023 one so much! I am sure I will come up with many more projects as well as the year goes on but that is my only planned project!
2024 is the year to reinvent my fiber studio and to process all of the fleeces that are stored here and calling my name. Back to weaving and knitting and loving the moment.
I would love to knit (or maybe crochet) more dolls! Thanks for the giveaway!
My first cast on will be the Short Kimono Cardigan by Annie Modesitt!
Lately I’ve been knitting socks, but I have plans to design and weave lots of beautiful things, including baby things for a soon-to-arrive grandchild!
There colors are so me! I am going to really tackle a sweater that fits!
Gonna finish a WIP baby blanket I’m working on and maybe get a queen size mosaic crochet blanket started for my oldest son so I can finish it before he graduates.
Happy New Year! I’m planning to start all my gift knitting for this year earlier and pace myself.
I’ve wanted to learn to weave for a few years so its on the goal list for this year. Lots and lots of knitting as always…. The queue is looooooong!
I’ve wanted to weave for a few years now so that’s on my goals list for this year. Lots and lots of knitting as always, my queue is soooooooooo long!
I am currently working on a new crochet hat, the kraken hat! I found I couldn’t remember some of the stitches so I plan on completing more knit and crochet projects. I also purchased some of your yarn to try my hand at that!
My crafting plans in this year is to create for specific markets. Like Renfair and such.
My crafting plans for 2024 include finishing darning the socks with holes. That was my solstice gift to my partner. I think I might be past the halfway point now, with several pairs to go. I want to knit more socks for myself and maybe tackle another sweater for myself. I’m considering ripping out sweaters I’ve made in the past couple of years but don’t often wear because of some aspect of the fit that I dislike. I would re-use the yarn for new sweaters.
Crafting in 2024 will continue to be primarily knitting and crocheting prayer shawls and blankets.
I plan to knit a pair of fingerless mitts for every lady in my square dance club this year.
I would like to knit a baby blanket for a new baby coming into the family in June
Oh goodness! This years crafting plans are to make some special items just for my 2 daughters and to try some more challenging new knitting stitches/patterns 🥰🥰 Hopefullly I can make a good dent in my yarn stash! 🤣🤣🤣🥰
Happy New Year! I plan on finishing all sip and using my stash to make room for more yaen!
To start early with my crafts this year and thus save myself from having to rush when time seems to fly so fast.
Crafting in 2024 will include charity knitting, gifts for family and friends and more cozy socks out of my endless stash of Resilient yarn. It is the best yarn for warm and durable socks.
I don’t have any specific yarn crafting plans yet. I will be starting a corsetry business soon, and that probably counts as a sewing craft.
Same as every year–make time for crafting every day, work through enormous SABLE, have fun with it. 🙂
I’m planning on working on a bunch of projects inspired by different shows that I love. Hopefully, I’ll actually manage to finish a few projects, too.
Thank you for this opportunity! I plan on knitting and crocheting items for those in need, newborns, cancer patients and socks for family and me! So generous, thank you again.
Happy new year! I hope everyone’s creativity can freely flow this year
My crafting plans for 2024 are to finish needlework projects I started in 2023 and finish some MKAL’s from 2022 and 2023. I’m hoping for at least one item from each category to be finished by the end of 2024. Here’s hoping I accomplish this.
I will make time to knit, life is to short not to do the things you love. Thank you for sharing your beautiful gift!
Happy New Year everyone! Plan to finish off a number of UFOs that I have floating around. Currently working on completing a crochet blanket, but have a number of knitting projects on the go.
This year’s plans are sweaters and socks. The sweaters will help clear out my stash and the socks will use up some of the single skeins of fingering. And because I may have more cowls and scarves and wraps then I’ll ever use. Other crafts include finishing the quilt I started forever ago and learning how to use my drop spindle.
Hello!
I am hoping this year to get all my WIPs done. I would also like to make some wearables for myself too.
Hi Chandi!
I plan to crochet a summer top, some socks and hats for winter
Main goal: Knit some beautiful things from stash, including some long-held EFA lovelies!
I’m going to knock out some of these WIPs and then maybe make my first quilt.
This year I am hoping to work on knitting several different projects. I’m currently working on Arazzo. I have so many other projects waiting for me to get to them. I’m trying to get as much done as possible before the summer as last year my house was way too hot then to knit.
My plans for 2024 as far as fiber: finish one WIP before starting another new, learn to spin with a wheel, make a crochet shawl (I typically knit).
My crafty plans for the year include new table runners with matching placemats, coasters, and trivets!
This year I’m contunuing my quest to learn more patterns and finish WIPs. Knitting has been a love for years and now is also a rehabilitation therapy after having major brain surgery. Next goal, and a request from my nieces, is ponchos.
I am hoping this to I will have a better way to store my stash and finally be able to finish my wips. 🖤
I would like to finish all my WIPs and rework projects I don’t like so things aren’t being wasted.
My crafting goals include pushing my comfort zone and making my first mosaic knit piece and/or fitted crochet or knit garment. I’d also like to do more acrylic pour painting.
I did very well with greatly reduced purchases last year that I’m going to splurge a little this year, but need a plan. Decided against the MCAL, but am looking forward to seeing what the MKAL has to offer. Otherwise, there are at least 3 totes of kitted projects to start and work on over the course of the year. Happy crafting everyone!
My plan is to knit and crochet items for our grandson. Thanks for the chance to win this fantastic giveaway.
Planning on finishing the blanket I started in 2024 and then adding a trim to my first project (a 2023/2024 combo), which was a scarf for my mom. I am planning on making myself a scarf too. I an planning on making a blanket for my nephew and my niece – though those might be pushed to 2025 if I make myself another scarf first especially so that I can practice trims.
Going to get some Wips finished! And then at least one of your beautiful shawls and a mystery crochet or knit along.
This year I wish I could finish the most part of the projects I’ve started, and then start new ones!
I just found this site last night. The yarns and patterns are so BEAUTIFUL! I spent hours looking at YouTube videos you have. I would like to challenge myself to making one of the scarves.
Hoping to finish my husband’s cardigan 🙂 and perhaps one top. Not a lot of crafting this year because of my new role at work.
My hopes are to finish some mitts and to start working on my first sweater and first pair of socks. ^_^
After I finish my daughter’s Christmas socks, I’m going to start a wedding shawl, and then I’ll work on scarves for family and friends.
Lots of knitting! Gifts and for myself.
Love those colors and the variety! For 2024 I plan to finish the several WIPS I have started and also tackle a knitting project I bought the pattern for. I’m very new at knitting..wish me luck!
Destashing in 2024 plus accessories for gall winter 2024/25
Hi Chandi, happy new year! Knitting an Icelandic sweater for an upcoming trip! Hat already done!
My plans are to finish WIPs and I would love to learn to spin!
My plan for this year is to finish or unravel all of the WIPS I have on the needles or crochet hooks.
I crochet every day. For the past year, I focused on Chemo Caps and beanies for cancer patients. I donate them to different Infusion Sites and the patients go crazy over them! I have to use cotton or Merino wool for the beanies because any other yarn is very irritating to the patient’s bald head. I also make Beanies and winter caps for Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan’s Purse) I have a wider selection of types of yarn, but I would love some yarns with PIZZAZZ!
Hi Chandi, I have a few plans this year but one is to teach my arts students some crochet to broaden their idea of arts and crafts a bit 🙂
“Remember to soak up THIS day! Know you are held and loved and guided!” WOW what a lovely sentiment – as far as projects …..sigh the 5 puppies born Dec 6th 2022 have not been homed – the gigantic bunch (German Shepherd Husky) are now a part of the household but ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what work. Saying all that – a simple project that is interruptible is an easy to grasp goal for 2024
Beautiful yarn as always!!!! I can imagine how beautiful it would be in a crochet blanket!
My crafting goals for 2024 is to fall in love with yarn again as I work my way through my stash! I am also doing the EFA MCAL!
I intend to knit myself some sweaters in 2024. A thick and fuzzy sweater to give myself the illusion of being warm. And after seeing your yarn, a purple crew-neck sweater (or is it mauve?) and a camel coloured one. Both to wear with the jacket and trousers I got for Christmas. (Will only wear one at a time. lol)
My plans for this year are to use more yarn then I buy. possibly learn to double knit or brioche.
Knit at least 50 hats & finish some long-languishing WIPs!😅
Use up some more of my stash!
My Handsome Man wants more socks soooo. Christmas gifts to knit, quilting, painting, and other things…
Thank you for the opportunity to win your beautiful yarn.
Debbie
2024 is the year of blanket, toques, scarves and socks!
Hoping to use my stash and make up 2 projects per month! 🤞🏻
Finishing baby blankets
My goal for this year is to FINISH some of the projects I have begun. A sweater half done, the panopeia top, and a beaded shawl. Then maybe a pair of fingerless gloves and finally a pair of socks! Ha! Big plans.
I recently learned how to knit (continental style) and I love it!❤️ So i would love to get more skilled this year!
I am also looking forward to make some gifts for my friends and family and continue crocheting.
Hopefully continue to improve my knitting!
To start new patterns and new projects… nothing like something brand new to get the adrenaline going!
I plan on finishing all of my knitting WIPs, work on my crochet tension, and finally using my beautiful fabric by sewing a few garments. I’m always afraid to cut the good fabric.
I would love to learn macrame and tapestry art to supplement my crochet and knitting skills 🙂
Continue knitting a variety of items and try new techniques on my rigid heddle loom.
I would love to find the time to do more weaving this year
My plans always change so it is sometimes challenging to make plans. However, I want to make a shawl for myself. The last I made for me ended up around the shoulders of a loved family member. Which is perfectly fine. I usually gift the things I make anyway. Hear’s to a year of knitting, crocheting and sharing!
My plans for 2024 are almost entire selfish. We have to move this year and I did a lot for others last year. This will be the year of comfort knits for myself. I’ve already finished one pair of socks from leftover yarn and I’m about an inch away from starting the gusset in another pair!
The yarn all looks beautiful. I hope I win some!
Thank you for the opportunity to enter your giveaway Chandi! I hope to finish my many WIP and have a go at spinning. I’ll have to re-watch your videos – not a terrible chore xx Wishing you all the best for 2024!
To learn flatbed knitting!!
Just getting my cro-jo back now, and dabbling in watercolor!
I plan to crochet, and learn to knit. I’ll be teaching free crochet classes and workshops at a local non-profit. I have a cross stitch to finish that’s been sitting unfinished for far too long, and I’d like to do a little coloring with colored pencils.
In 2024 I want to finish all the projects I start!
I plan on gifting away more yarn than is gifted to me. Mainly to charity crafty groups.
I plan to focus on making sweaters and learning new sweater constructions to figure out what I like best. I’m also hoping to try new yarns including boucle, linen, bamboo, and silk. Hope 2024 is off to a great start for you!
Knitting some fun colorwork projects in particular, and I have an eye towards doing some beading. I’d also love to learn another new craft this year.
I want to work on colorwork sweaters and learn socks!
I want to make a smallish size blanket with overlay mosaic. I’ve made a couple squares but ready to advance.
My mom and aunt taught me how to chain and single crochet when I was 4 yrs old. I still remember all those fine gifts I made with this refried bean colored wool yarn they provided me. I realized not long ago that I’ve never made myself anything. This year my plan is to treat me to some nice yarn and stitch up something pretty – after I finish my daughter’s and granddaughters lists.
I can’t wait to crochet little stuffies to sell at future craft markets. I also want to get into knitting and make my first knitted sweater
Lots of knitting. Ravelry tells me I completed 19 projects last year. Maybe this year it could be 20.
These colors are too beautiful. Just begging me to make a spring sweater. Just Beautiful !!!!
My plans for 2024 is to return to knitting after being away from it for several years. I want to learn to knit wearables that really fit. Also, my goal is to knit the Tempietto shawl and the Creery sweater sometimes before year’s end.
Need to continue practicing my knitting. I have a LOT of crocheting projects waiting their turn – tops, scarves, baby blankets, a pocket shawl and cardigans. Gonna be a busy year!
I have recently learned fair isle knitting, and hope to do a lot more of it. I have been knitting for 63 years (I just turned 69) and still have more techniques to learn.
I’m working on finishing up a couple of crochet projects and trying to learn to knit. I really want to learn to make socks.
I want to use up my stash of inexpensive yarn and knit something beautiful with hand dyed natural fibers.
This year I’m determined to work through my knitted gifts list for friends/family. And then focus on learning and practicing new stitches and figuring out making my own patterns.
I’m planning to devote specific time each week to spinning and weaving this year.
Still, knitting will always be a major part of my life. I plan to knit myself a new cabled cardigan. Plus I’ve got my eye on an intriguing shawl pattern. Plus hats, mitts, and socks because there’s always need for more of those, and they’re so conveniently portable.
These are so gorgeous! 2024 will be a year of sweaters, socks and blankets for me =)
My crafting plans for 2024 are to finish my WIPs, start new projects I’ve been planning for, including Mou Leipeis, try new stitches/crafts and make my first sweater. I’ve been contemplating making patterns so my goal is to publish one this year.
I made a sweater last year with Alpaca Silk lace held double and it is the softest, most luxurious thing I own! I love it so much, and all the more because I made it myself.
So, my 2024 plan is to make at least one more cozy comfy delicious sweater for myself. I will of course knit socks and gloves for everyone I know, but that might all have to wait… 🙂 I just have to figure out which colors I will pick… <3
I currently make amigurumi items for 5 kindergarten classes throughout the year- one of my goals is to get faster so I can donate to 8 classes for the next school year.
The other big goal is to write up a pattern for at least one of the ideas I have running around my head.
Smaller goals: make a few more wearables for my daughter, learn the basics of Tunisian crochet, and restock my yarn stash so I can do all of the above!
How exciting! My 2024 plans are to complete my projects started from last year. I have 2 sweaters, beanies and scarves in cue. Money is tight. I’ve been working on a you supply the yarn I will make it for you basis. My hope this year is to save money to buy yarn for a special shawl project for my bestie visiting me from Australia this summer. These giveaways are such a blessing. Best of luck everyone!!!!
Happy New Year, EFA team!
Knitting goals for 2024 include:
1) Knit Storyteller cardigan . I love the texture and I love the pockets!
2) Match patterns to yarns. It will allow me to see what I have on hand.
3) Enjoy the process of knitting and relax. It’s not a race.
4) Acknowledge what I am not going to finish, tell myself that it is ok, be grateful what I learned from the knitting process (a new technique etc…), frog it and use it for another project.
5) Take time to knit every day even it just a few rows because it is good for my physical, mental, and emotional health.
My plans for 2024 is to make myself more wearables and a few for my 2 new granddaughters!
Best of luck everyone!
For 2024 I’ll mostly be doing crochet projects and my drawings/paintings. But I am certain iw I’ll also have random crafts.
I want to learn how to turn my hand-lettering/ink designs onto canvas to embroider!
In 2024 I will finish a few WIPs and have loads of sweaters, hats and shawls planned using yarn I already have in stash – to make room for more yarn purchases!
My plans this year are mostly about giving back! I want to make 500 hats to donate to the local homeless shelter (last year I managed 250, so Im trying to double it), and I also want to make 20 baby blankets to give to local women who’ve recently given birth.
Im pregnant and due myself in Feb, so Im sitting out of the craft show circuit this year, but I’m excited to sit and work on some quick projects
Hi Chandi ☺️ Beautiful selection, as always, thank you! My crafting plans/goals for this year are to start early for birthday and holiday gifts for my loved ones. I’d also like to find a new place to live and hopefully have a yarn and crafts room to set up! 🤗
My crafting plans for 2024 are to knit a blanket for my son and make a blanket with a crochet. And time, allowing, I would like to Crochet! myself a sweater.
My plan is to start Christmas projects NOW. Also, learning new techniques– there’s always something new out there…
My crafting plans involve knitting a sweater that actually fits me. I might need to take some measurements and do a gauge swatch first.
My plan is to finally knit my husband the cardigan he’s been asking for. And taking the leap and learning to steek, largely in part because I don’t want to knit the aforementioned cardigan flat.
2024 I plan to master Tunisian crochet, make another mosaic/tapestry crochet blanket, and finish or frog the 20 unfinished projects I have laying around!
I love to crochet. Besides being a great stress outlet, I really do love to make things for my kids and family that they really like. I’ve done lots of blankets and potholders, hats and scarves. I would love to learn to make wearable items. Shawls, cardigans and others like that. Something for me lol. Also I would love to get a better understanding of knitting. It looks so pretty!
2024 involves more knitting. I crochet like a wild woman, always making something! But my knitting is more like a sloth. Not even Team Turtle here, definitely Sloth. So my goal is to get better at knitting!
Still contemplating my plans!
My plan for 2024 is to finish all my wips from 2023 and 2022! Also to enjoy my retirement.
Working on a Christmas gift for this year. Waiting for my beautiful yarn to come in for the MCAL.
I will be knitting more sweaters this year and learning new techniques like brioche, loop and i cord
I plan on creating my own patterns this year for the first time as well as delve into crocheting shirts and sweaters after I finish a couple of baby blankets for friends 🙂
I want to knit more socks! Try a lot of hand dyed yarn, do KALs and learn ny techniques
I have so many plans, and most of them include EFA yarn and patterns! I never finish all my knitting/crocheting plans for each year, but I do so enjoy trying!!
My 2024 crafting plans are to go past my fears and make full fitted garments (vs accessories). This started with my very first sweater/jumper for my husband. And to actually make something for myself – probably a tank/tee. I really like Nightshade, Proserpina, Shala, or Fiddlefooted. Not sure which I’ll do first. 💖
I am planning on knitting a cardigan for the first time!
I want to plan my crafting better.
I always get overwhelmed towards the festive season. I love to make my family and friends hand made ornaments and gifts and I know Christmas comes on the same date every year, but every year come mid-November I start panicking.
This year so far I have made two gifts to put away until then. I’ve also made one of the granddaughters birthday gift.
So proud of myself.
Three more gifts to make. Just small ones and January will be ticket off.
I plan to start my very first sweater! I’ve done amigurumi, scarves and hats, even a tinyish blanket, but never something that I could wear.
Lovely set of yarn 🧶 For 2024, I would like to learn knitting. (I only crochet)
I’m also planning to re organize my craft room and make some more fabric project bags 🛍️
I love to crochet but I really want to learn how to knit this year. I am a first time grandma and my beautiful granddaughter will need some sweaters knit with love like my granny used to make me.
I plan on trying to finish most of what I started, and continue to clothes for my babies and close family 💜💙
Plan is to improve and expand my knitting, crocheting and weaving skills
I will be getting my first great grandson I’m May and would love your special yarn to make something for him
I am learning 2-at-a-time socks so I can make everyone socks for Christmas, knitting garments for me, and hopefully a silk shawl for my daughters wedding in June.
I have several sweater quantities that I really want to knit up.
This year I’m trying to use more of my stash than adding to it. I’m not on a buying ban, but I want to fall back in love with what I already have. I’m also trying to knit or crochet more for family. These two goals may go hand in hand😉
To make a stunning sweater, not oversized but fitting well 😅
This year is ambitious. My friend thrust a baby picture into my hand and yelled “AUNTIE SUSAN!”
Then declared, “I want hats, lots of hats.”
Commence Project Baby Bean. My attempt to drown this baby in hats. It’s been a week and a half and I’ve got 4 hats done. I’ve started on a toy that will coincide with the nursery. I also have written a couple children’s books inspired by this friend’s love of mice, so Baby Bean will be getting at least one mousy toy or two.
Beyond that, a year long KAL with my favorite designer Expression Fiber Arts (I know, way to suck up)
A KAL for my lace knitting group
A shawl that I’ve bought custom yarn for and it’s been sitting 3 years now.
Then the annual X-mas hats, and hopefully a blanket for my three kiddos, but the blankets can be pushed until next year.
I also make them ornaments yearly, but those aren’t knit, and I have to start my third children’s book of the wee mice.
I’m always knitting socks, so… knitting some more socks 😅
Hello, Joanne here, I will be doing more knitting as per usual and also some embroidery, oh and watercolour painting! Good luck to everyone!
I just started crocheting last month at age 65 LOL. I am hoping to learn enough before Christmas to crochet my friend the beautiful Sugarbush shawl.
I’m currently organizing my art studio so I can actually find things and have space to create. Also, my goal is to put my art out there and have it displayed somewhere.
Stash busting. EFA patterns on to do list.
I just retired so plan to knit more!!! So much yarn and yarn kit’s already purchased. I seem to buy more. I figured I would buy the beautiful indie dyed yarn while I could afford. Is it’s time to actually knit with it!
Hoping to a) learn to knit socks and/or b) actually make a wearable that isn’t a cardi-type and have it worn in public.
2024 is looking to be the year of blankets. Already making a few baby blankets and 1 large wedding present blanket.
Your yarns are always so incredible! Thank you for your generosity and your kind words that always brighten my day!
This year, my crochet plans are to finish the two blankets and two bears I have planned for other people, a final piece for my mom before she passes away, and I want to finally start making things for myself. I’m always making things for everyone else, it’s high time I start making things for myself.
my craft goals are to finish up my current projects
I have bookmarked some very nice projects for 2024, so I’d like to start with several. I want to knit slippers and socks and crochet some market bags from cotton.
I want to finish the sweater I’m making for my Mom, but then I think starting a new sweater for myself. I have a yarn for a few different ones though so I need to decide which one to do first! I also need to finish a scarf for my sister and I started my first pair of socks so finishing those as well. 😊
I am not sure of my exact knitting plans for the year. I do plan on knitting my way through some of my stash. That definitely includes several pairs of socks. Also I have a few cowls and scarves in my queue. What ever I am knitting, I will be doing what I love.
Love to knit and crochet. Beginner and just completed two pairs of socks.
I am planning on participating in the 2024 MCAL. I want to learn new stitches and experiment with different types of yarns. I also want to crochet a sweater for myself.
Hi, my crafting plans are to make some tank tops, shawl, sweaters and couples mittens.. I also plan to do more beadwork and sewing projects! 🤘🏼
I want to learn sewing ❤️ And knit some small things because I always make big projects.
I plan to finish some wips and figure out how to repair a vintage wool hunting jacket. Should be an interesting challenge!
My plan is to relax as much as possible and listen to my heart. And do whatever craft I want to do at a given time🌺🧚♀️
My crafting plans for 2024 are to improve my sewing!
I am currently working on 5 crochet projects for 2024. One is a large blanket to use as a sofa cover. Another blanket as a high school graduation gift for my niece’s best friend. The Querencia blanket as a high school graduation gift for my niece. The 2024 MCAL to give my mother for Christmas. And one final blanket to give my best friend as a house warming present.
