Hello, my little buttercup! This week, I have two versions of a snuggly, knitted cowl pattern that I am just giddy with excitement to share with you. Keep reading to learn all about them!
Fogbow was designed by Amy Mercier. When asked about her debut design for us, Amy said, “A fogbow is a rare and beautiful, naturally occurring phenomenon. It is essentially a rainbow that occurs in the fog, as opposed to the rain, and with far more muted coloring, if any. A fogbow is also known as a white rainbow.”
“The misty fogbow with its nebulous edges are represented in the Sugar Fluff Fingering yarn. With its airy, halo-like texture that’s knit into rings and grounded by a lacy, silken texture base, you will create a gorgeous, soft, and cloud-like cowl to wrap yourself in. Let this project remind you to take a moment to appreciate the beautiful, hidden gems created by nature.”
This Intermediate level pattern is for those who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include provisional cast on, Kitchener stitch, and color changes.
Fogbow was made using both our incredibly soft, Limited Edition Sugar Fluff Fingering and our dreamy, luxurious Oasis Fingering yarn. Sugar Fluff Fingering is very fluffy and absolutely divine! This yarn is a fun, fingering weight yarn with lovely drape and a beautiful halo and is ideal for multi-seasonal use and all of your treasured items. Sugar Fluff Fingering is made with 80% Suri Alpaca and 20% Acrylic with 364 yds/333 m per 3.5 oz/100 g skein. Our splendid Oasis Fingering yarn is a sumptuous blend of 50% Camel and 50% Silk. When you want to treat yourself, this is the way to go! Oasis Fingering has 500 yds/457 m per 3.5 oz/100 g skein.
Sample A was knitted with colors Uplifted Oasis Fingering (Yarn A) and Frostier Sugar Fluff Fingering (Yarn B). You will need two skeins each of both Yarn A and Yarn B.
Sample B was knitted with colors Perception Oasis Fingering (Yarn A) and Rosalie Sugar Fluff Fingering (Yarn B). You will need two skeins each of both Yarn A and Yarn B. Each sample used approximately 1516 yds/1386 m total: Yarn A) 909 yds/831 m and Yarn B) 607 yds/555 m.
Be sure to order all of the Sugar Fluff Fingering yarn you need for your project because once this Limited Edition yarn is gone, it is gone!
