Hello, my bright light! This week, I have two wonderful treats to share with you. The first is this beginner level, knitted blanket, and I hope you’ll read on to learn more!
Conjure was designed by Patricia Liefeld. When asked about this design, Patricia said, “Get your needles going, and conjure up this blanket today! This blanket, which is made with luscious Enamored Chunky yarn, is good for beginners and advanced knitters alike. Beginners can practice knit and purl stitches, while seeing how the placement of these stitches can create totally different looks.”
“The pattern includes purl 2 together and yarn overs, which might be a new technique for you or provide the opportunity to perfect the stitch. Advanced knitters will appreciate the simplicity of the stitches, which still provide enough variation to keep the pattern interesting. The blanket can be easily adjusted to be longer or shorter and can be made into a king-size blanket or a stylish scarf.”
This Beginner level pattern is perfect for those who are just beginning or have knit a project or two. Stitches include knit, purl, yarn over, and purling two stitches together.
My second treat is that Conjure was made using our brand new, Limited Edition Enamored Chunky yarn. This yarn is a sumptuous, 6-ply blend of 70% Baby Alpaca and 30% Fine Merino Wool. It is deliciously warm with a velvety smooth softness. 150 m/164 yds per 100 g/3.5 oz skein.
The sample shown was made with three skeins each of colors: A) Fey, B) Poisoned Posies, and C) Summoning and used 1,332 yds/1,218 m total: A) 452 yds/413 m, B) 430 yds/393 m, and C) 450 yds/412 m.
Be sure to order all you need for your project because once this yarn is gone, it is gone!
Tim and I made a video showing you how to make this blanket. Be sure to take a look!
The pattern contains written instructions only.

My daughter requested that I make her this as a reminder of when we sat on our porch in NH on cool Fall and spring evenings wrapped in afghans made by my grandma. Treasured memories for sure!
I love these colors, especially the pink and they look so smart in these yarns!
