Hello, my lil’ sweet pea! This week, I have a sweet and romantic crochet shawl pattern to share with you! Keep reading to find all of the details.

Faded Blush was designed by Johanna Huck. She says, “Faded Blush was inspired by the names of the two colorways used in this shawl, Faded Rose and Cool Blush. Like a rose that fades away, the change from new to old is reflected by the color transition adopted in this pattern. Started with only one color, the contrasting color is slowly incorporated into the shawl until it takes over.”

“Lace segments are used to break the symmetry in different intervals of each color section while keeping a clean isosceles triangular shape. Every lace segment is unique, but they are all based on the same simple concept. A continuous chevron pattern is featured throughout the shawl.”

Faded Blush is an adventurous beginner level crochet pattern. It is great for those crocheters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations, like the foundation double crochet.

The updated version of Faded Blush was made with colors C1) Silence and C2) Helenium Oasis Fingering. The original version was made with colors: C1) Faded Rose and C2) Cool Blush. Both samples used 1,120 yds (1,025 m) total – C1: 745 yds (2 skeins) and C2: 375 yds (1 skein).
