Hello, my lovely fiber friend! I’m thrilled to be able to share this gorgeous crochet cardigan pattern with you this week!

Read on to hear me tell you all about it.

Ciottolo is an Italian word for pebbles or cobblestone. The colors of the cardigan, as they fade into each other, and the brick stitch used throughout the garment reminded designer, Michelle Ferguson, of an old cobblestone road.

The cardigan is worked in panels and then seamed together before adding the sleeves, trim, and buttons.

Working stitches into the front loops and into rows below, like you would a spike stitch, provides beautiful surface texture.

Additional rows can be added to make the cardigan longer. To make it longer, add more rows before splitting into the three top panels.

Color C will be your main color used for the bottom and trims and is the color you will need the most of.

The sample shown used our CashSilk Sock yarn.
