Faie is a beautiful Intermediate level knitting pattern designed by Monica Wesley. It features central lace panels on the front and back and textured, puffy sleeves.

How would this pattern do using the Ephemeral fingerling yarn?
I would encourage you to try a swatch and see how it goes. I’m not sure if ephemeral would be a good base for this project, due to his drape and lack of structure. Hope this helps a little.

In your video tutorial about this beautiful Faie sweater I see the M1R has been knitted through the back loop. I didn’t know this is an option too! I’m always in battle to M!R through the front loop. Thank you for this!

This is beautiful! I dream of the day that I might be able to knit something like this. I have been watching your tutorials on knitting for beginners. I have accomplished cast on and understand the knitting but so far have not been able to do even 3 rows that are uniform. I will not give up though! I love your sweet beautiful spirit!

I am starting to work on the sweater right now and it says to “Repeat Round 1 of the Ribbing _ more times for a
total of _ times worked.
What does that mean? Thank you!
You repeat the ribbing the number of times your size calls for. For example, if you are a small, you would repeat 7 times for a total of 8 rounds. Whereas, If you were knitting a 2XL, you would repeat 11 more times for a total of 12 rounds. Does that help?

Hello, just to share with you my feedback. I followed this pattern using persephone crema socks yarn. The pattern is very well explained and easy to follow and the result is just as beautiful as the one shown here in photos and video. 🙂
