Hello, beautiful soul!
Our pattern this week is an adorable knit top that we think you’ll absolutely adore! Check out the Ponchoesque:
Ponchoesque is a knit top designed by Emily Walton.
Have a watch! We have filmed a video tutorial for you showing you how to work the cables with and without a cable needle. This will change your cabling life! Get some coffee and settle in to work the practice swatch with me!
The sample shown features our Sincere Sock Fingering Weight Yarn in Clover.
Sincere Sock Fingering Weight Yarn is 75% Superwash Merino Wool and 25% Nylon. This squishy, 3-ply yarn provides great definition for your cables.
This piece is worked flat in 2 pieces. Shoulders are connected using the three-needle bind off method (tutorial link is provided in the pattern). Sides are seamed from the bottom of the armhole to the top of the hem ribbing, leaving a split hem at the bottom.
We hope you love this wearable piece!
I appreciate you reading and if you’d love to get brand new, premium knit and crochet patterns weekly, just hop onto our email list there on the site. We list new patterns most Fridays and many are free for a limited time. I hope to see you there.
Talk to ya soon.
XOXOXO Chandi
Chandi, I’d started to write asking for more tutorials like this even before you encoraged us to ask if we find videos lilke this helpful. Please consider doing this sort of tutorial for stitches and combinations that you suspect might be a challenge for almost any knitter. I ihave just one question – how many stitches did you cast on for the test swatch you did in the tutorial?
Thank you again for making this video!
You are welcome! I cast on 30 stitches. 💕
What a beautiful jumper the colour is so delicate many thanks for another beautiful free pattern me lovely x
Stumbled over your site, was thunderstruck…the COLOURS!! ❤️
Love the tutorial on the cabling as it’s my first attempt. The only thing that would have also been useful would be the LC as LPC, RPC & RC were covered but not the LC.
