Hello, dear one! I hope you are well today. We have a new gorgeous knitted shawl pattern for you.
This one is so elegant. Introducing: Find Your Path by Jane Vanselous.
Using a combination of slip stitch and a simple YO lace pattern, this shawl has some beautiful texture.
This 6 color shawl is knit on the diagonal using fairly simple, reversible knit and purl stitch combinations. The accent color stripe is worked in a yarn over eyelet pattern that simplifies its design from an ornate diamond pattern into a simple arrow. The Allure silk yarn is wonderful to work with and provides a lovely drape and shine that highlights the stitch patterns.
Have a watch! We have filmed a video tutorial for you highlighting the slip stitch texture.
The samples shown feature our Allure Silk fingering weight yarn.
We used two different kits, one in each sample. The Coastal Hues Kit with Natural and the Find Your Path Kit with Gold.
The Allure Silk fingering weight yarn provides a sheen that creates a pretty effect when it catches the light and drapes so beautifully. I love it and it’s been wildly popular.
If you’re on IG, be sure to post if you make this so we can see! #findyourpathshawl #expressionfiberarts

If ever won one off your giveaways this shawl I would definitely make it delicate delicious shiny I’d feel a special to put this round my shoulders thank you so much xx
I just completed this shawl and love it! I believe the kit was called Natural. My first big project.
I ordered the kit and can’t wait to get started! In the meantime, I’m practicing the pattern with waste yarn. I have a question I wish you had a video for!!! I’m not all that familiar with changing colors and haven’t a clue how to drop a color and start a new color. Do you really carry the old yarn up the side of the shawl??’ I just love EVERYTHING about your site, so thanks so much!!❤️
Absolutely! We have a video on just how to do that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7mIozVya6k
Hi I bought the find your path kit – and I wanted to do the sam e color progression as the picture where the lace is in the gold color- can you tell me which color is A – F ? I have them lined up like the photo – so is A is the the lightest color and then progressing from there? Thanks for your help and encouragement! Darla
The order would be A, C, D, B, F, E. I hope this helps. 😊
Have the pattern and the coastal hues yarn. Which ones are a-f. Would like to follow the same as shown. Can’t wait to start.
If you look at the kit on the site and numbered them 1 – 6 and provided those corresponding numbers with a letter value, you would get 4(a), 5(b). 6(c), 3(d), 2(e), 1(f). I hope this helps. 🙂
Oh thanks so much for answering my question. Now I can get started. Was so anxious to get knitting on this. Love your patterns and yarn. And you videos are a joy to watch.
Thanks again
Thanks so very much. Now I can finally start that beautiful shawl. I love your yarn and patterns and your videos are a joy to watch.
Thanks again
Deb
Hi Chandi, Can you please tell me which are A-F in the Find Your Path Hues kit? Thanks!
If you are looking at the picture of the yarn and they are numbered 1-6 (from left to right) 1,3,4,2,6,5
Thank you!
I had it figured out right except for the two tones of gray, I had those switched. 😉 I really appreciate your help!
No problem!
Hello, I am knitting the Find Your Path pattern. Am I understanding correctly that Row 4 will end up being 139 stitches, while the 3 previous rows 1-3 were 140 stitches?
Hi Donna, thank you for your message. I’m happy to help.
The stitch count stays the same (140 sts) in Row 4 of the pattern. Even though you decrease twice with a k2tog, you’re also adding 2 yarn overs, so that will cancel out the decreases.
I hope this makes sense. Please, let me know if you have further questions. Have a wonderful day! – Johanna 💚
I have the wonderful yarn. Can you steer me in the direction of a pattern. I want to make it just like this lovely thing!!!!
Sure! You can find it here: https://www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/find-your-path.html
