It’s Friday; the first one of a new year! 2020 holds such promise.
Today’s pattern is a showstopper!
Peacock Knitted Shawl Pattern by Emily Walton
Slipped stitches lend texture to this oversized shawl. Enjoy using as many colors as you wish to create a show stopping piece that is sure to turn heads and have you “proud as a peacock” to wear!
Have a watch! We have filmed a video tutorial for ya on how to get started!
We used our gorgeous Pearlescent Fingering Weight Yarn in the Proud Peacock Hues Kit that includes 6 luscious shades in Green, Peach, Pink, Violet, Pink/ blue and Royal Purple. Really, the kit was the inspiration for this pattern. I knew we had to design something with this beautiful set!
This isn’t FAIR! I’m working on a project, but I couldn’t resist looking at the Friday Pattern. AND it’s not FAIR! Fortunately, I have two size 5 circular needless, one of which is in use, but the second of which will at least get me started on this pattern….
AAAARGHHH! I wonder if I have enough fingering stash…no, just kidding…I do, I do!
Simply glorious…that’s all I can say about this beautiful pattern.
Happy New Year!
I simply love watching you knit.
I do to do any social media so please keep posting on YouTube.
This is beautiful!
I’m making this, right now. I’m on the third color change and it’s looking so nice. I may use this pattern for a few more shawls, it’s that pleasing.
I have done the Garter Tab and have 9 stitches. On Row 1, it says this will be a 6 stitch increase, however when I do it, I am only getting a 4 stitch increase. What an I missing?
Maureen, it may be the kfbf that is throwing off your stitch count – that means to knit front back and then front again – each will increase by 2 stitches
This is what I missed!!!! I got it now. Ignore my email!!!!
Just started on this pattern. Love it. Wish I could afford your yarn. I will have to save up for text time.
Thanks to the designer for such a beautiful pattern and so easy.
I a very new to knitting so I need some easy shawls to knit
When will the peacock kit be available for purchase? I already have the pattern.
