Lovely one, we have a new pattern for you today!
Oh radiant splendor of delight!! I am so excited. Check out our new Brushing Stars shawl. Designed for you by Emily Walton.
An advanced beginner pattern, this lil’ beauty is customizable! Make it larger or smaller as desired.
Lovely, wearable garter stitch is interspersed with sections of 2-color star stitch.
Unfamiliar with that stitch? Watch my knitted star stitch tutorial here:
•Snuggle up in this wonderfully large shawl as those evening autumn temperatures start to plummet and campfire season begins. Compact garter stitch and stripes of star stitch come together to create an accessory piece that’s both warm and visually appealing.
•Choose three complimentary colors for a subtle look, strongly contrasting colors for something that pops, or even just one color for an elegant neutral piece that can be worn with almost anything.
•This pattern can be modified fairly easily. Work a longer or shorter garter section, lengthen or add more star stitch sections, increase or decrease the total number of sts to achieve your preferred size; anything goes! I like to create patterns that are easily adjusted so you can create something that suits your personal taste.
•I work a lot of early mornings, which has me leaving my house in the wee hours before dawn. I’m always struck by the brightness of the stars at that time, and how they appear to be close enough to touch. This pattern was meant to emulate that, and the way you sometimes see patches of stars peeking through thin bands of clouds. I hope you enjoy that feeling with this shawl, even if you don’t want to get up before dawn to experience the real thing (who could blame you?).
We chose our bouncy, popular, squishy Resilient Sock yarn for this pattern. 400 yards per skein. 4 oz. Always a delight and great for SO many projects from garments to accessories. Baby items, gifts, blankets, etc. Machine-washable.
(For those who will ask, I made my dress! It’s the Jessica Dress by MimiGStyle and she has Youtube tutorials on how to make it. A fun and easy project. I’ve made 3 of them so far!)
Alrighty, my love. Download the pattern here if you’d like. If you want notifications when new patterns go live just join our email list there and I will keep you up to date.
XOXO
Enjoy this radiant day! I appreciate you so much!

I just downloaded this pattern, and I am so excited! I am fairly new to knitting, so I am looking forward to both trying a new stitch and having something relatively simple to make that has such a beautiful finished look!
