We chose to make this with 3 skeins of our Twisted Tweed Sport weight yarn in colorway: Fisherman. I adore this muted navy blue – it reminds me of the sea and brings up such lovely, nostalgic feelings!

Thank you for the video for the cable pattern as the written instructions are not accurate. My instincts kicked in and I was going to follow them anyway but your wonderful video verified I was right and the pattern as written was wrong. Please share with designer.
Never mind, I miss read the patterm☹️
I am enjoying knitting this shawl … now. I watched your tutorial a few times. Getting started was slow for me, I went through 4 styles of cable needles until I found the right one that worked for me. So for the first few crossovers I kept thinking to myself … self, you could just change your mind and choose another shawl … but, no I kept at it and gradually each crossover became easier and just like you said, it bacame intuitive. Now I’m loving it and can envision the finished shawl and it will be amazing. I’m almost 1/3 in and using the Nougat colorway which is so pretty. I suggest listening to music and avoid trying to watch TV for this pattern. Just sayin’
Awesome! 👏 😎
I’m not understanding where I start the Garter stitching???
Happy to help – what seems to be the confusion?
Oh I’m sorry I figured it out. I was watching the video and wasn’t thinking. I just wish you knitted the entire row in the video up to the row after the one you ended on. With the garter part too. It was confusing but I figured it out. I’m not sure how I’m holding the cable needle but I seem to be switching from the need to the cable needle and back incorrectly. I’m sry I’m very new to knitting. But I just finished a shawl just like this one almost only with a leaf edge and stockinette stitch so I figured I could do this one. But I’ve had to start over almost 10 times now I’m just struggling but I’ll get it. I’ll just need to watch the video a few more times. Thx for your time and the beautiful pattern!
I’m glad you figured it out. Thanks for the feedback. That will be helpful when we are making more videos. Happy Knitting! ❤️❤️
