Hello, gorgeous!
Our pattern this week is an advanced beginner level, longer cardigan that is just perfect for cooler weather! It’s called Storyteller! Doesn’t it just make you want to sit around a campfire, eat all the smores and tell stories late into the night? You’ll be cozy, casual and comfortable!
Storyteller is designed by Kristina Smiley. The pattern has directions for 8 sizes.
Have a watch! We have filmed a video tutorial for you showing you how to knit 2 sleeves at once! You totally don’t have to on this pattern, but it’s an option!
The sample shown features our Resilient Sock Fingering Weight Yarn in Nimbus.
Resilient Sock Fingering Weight Yarn has BOUNCE FACTOR – this yarn is BOINGY! It has a ton of memory, or “resilience” (thus the name), which is ideal for socks and cardigan sweaters since it stretches but bounces right back to its original length. Perfect!
This pattern has POCKETS! Who doesn’t love pockets?? But you can also leave them out if you prefer. This pattern is also easy to make shorter or longer as needed. All the instructions are included in the pattern PDF.
I appreciate you reading and if you’d love to get brand new, premium knit and crochet patterns weekly, just hop onto our email list there on the site. We list new patterns most Fridays and many are free for a limited time. I hope to see you there.
Talk to ya soon.
XOXOXO Chandi
Dearest Chandi!
I am so inspired to start knitting again. I am left handed however was taught to knit exactly as you do- continental? Will try the (double ) magic circular stitching technique. HOWEVER- I have gone through the files and tutorials and have not found the Huckleberry stitch..
I must say- even a simple seed stitch looks so delicious on your yarn products – I’ve always believed- quality in = quality out.
My first real job out of university was right next to a yarn shop and I would spend my lunches with these women 75-83 years old. They had such unique – hand spun yarns- so so thankful I found your website and please- know- the work that goes into your yarns is so appreciated and respected.
We appreciate the love, Christine! We didn’t do a tutorial on the Huckleberry stitch. That is definitely something we can work on. ❤️
Hello Chandi
You look gorgeous in these outfits
I have a teacher who loves to knit so I showed her your beautiful world of knitting and yarns and she loved it
What I really like is watching your superb tutorial videos!
Take care of you!

I love this sweater but I can not download the pattern here or on Ravalry. Is it because I am in Canada?
We are updating the pattern currently. When it is updated, we will be making it available for download again. Just want to make sure we have it correct.

I am so interested in knitting this sweater/cardigan. Any idea when it will be released? Should I be checking Ravelry? or just this site!
We’re hoping soon, Liz! We have multiple sizes tested so far and are just waiting on a couple more to be finished up. We’ll announce its release in our email newsletter when ready so you can sign up on the site if you like!
Hi Chandi ! I love this Storyteller and want to knit it. My gauge is usually off a bit (needle size down or up) but I am really confused on the swatch of the Huckleberry Stitch. Should it be multiples of 2 ? I haven’t knit a sweater for myself in years ! Thanks so much
Shelley, happy to help! Please do reach to our pattern support here and we’ll be delighted to assist! https://www.expressionfiberarts.com/contact-us/
