Hello, beautiful soul! Today, I have a vineyard inspired, beginner friendly, knitted shawl that features an easily memorizable stitch pattern. I just know you’re going to enjoy making this lovely design, so be sure to keep reading to learn all about it!

Grapevine was designed by Courtney Cox. When asked about her debut pattern for Expression Fiber Arts, she said, “This pattern is a lush and lacy wrap knitted with graduating colors and scalloped edges that recall ripening grapes and twisting vines. Appropriate for adventurous beginners, this pattern creates a long wrap with a zigzag openwork texture. Knitted in a DK weight yarn, this wrap uses an easy-to-memorize pattern to make for a relaxing project.”

This is an Adventurous Beginner level pattern that is perfect for knitters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Skills/concepts include basic lace, color changes, and blocking.

The Grapevine shawl is knitted with our beloved and versatile Dewy DK yarn. Dewy DK is perfect for items you want to cherish for years to come! It’s a beautiful yarn that’s luscious and supremely soft with a gorgeous drape, amazing structure, and a subtle gleam. This delightful yarn is a blend of 70% Superwash Merino Wool, 20% Nylon, and 10% Silk with 250 yds/228 m per skein.

The sample shown here was knitted with our Adriatic Hues Dewy DK Kit. The sample shown used approximately 922 yds/843 m total: Color A: 189 yds/173 m, Color B: 187 yds/171 m, Color C: 178 yds/163 m, Color D: 180 yds/165 m, and Color E: 189 yds/173 m.
