Hi, I'm Chandi! I'm a self-professed lover of all things yarn. I'm an avid knitter, crocheter, wool dyer, fleece and roving spinner and occasional felter! I offer beautiful, inspiring, hand-painted
yarns and deliver the best of all yarn-related tutorials I can on my
blog.
Hey Chandi, I love crafting for so many reasons, but the most important are that it allows me to express myself. As a person with a crohnic illness I can’t do things that most people take for granted. And often find that while my family and friends are living their lives that I feel left out. Crafting helps me to feel like I matter, even though I can’t do the things that most can I still have value. It also helps me to deal with the stress of it all, it’s like a micro-escape. For a short period of time my illness is not the focus of my life. As far as expressing myself, I don’t always feel that it’s easy to talk about how I feel. In my own way I can share my feelings and thoughts through my creativity. If someone gets it or appreciates it than that’s nice, but I create for me. I have something to say or share and i can get it out in my craft. I love how you can have a raw item like a bead, yarn, paper, hair, or anything; then all of the sudden as you manipulate it adding a little of this or that. Then out of nowhere this new creation. It’s the absolute best feeling in the world. Just you, your medium, and your creativity – absolute perfection. Thank you so much for asking, it really made me feel better to just say that. I hope that you have a wonderful rest of your day and week. Thank you for all you kind and lovely words of encouragement too, it means so much to so many. Thanks again.
