Hello, my sweet friend! Today, I have a delightful, knitted cowl pattern to share with you! It features lovely colorwork, super fun beading, and options to customize the size. I hope you’ll keep reading to learn all about it.

Bluebird was designed by Anne Robinson. When asked about this design, Anne said, “Bluebird is a delightful, Fair Isle cowl that is punctuated by delicate beads. It is knitted flat and seamed after blocking and is presented here in two different versions. Both versions use three colors of yarn, as well as two colors of beads. The first version is made with EFA’s Sincere Sock yarn and is worked in a smaller circumference to hug your neck. The second version is made with EFA’s Crema Sock, which due to its high silk content, will drape beautifully. The Crema Sock version is much longer and can be worn as a long statement piece or wrapped double for when you desire more warmth. Both versions make beautiful pieces for gifting and are a wonderful way to start your Fair Isle journey. With so many options of yarn colors and beads, the creative possibilities are endless!”

“In legend, the bluebird represents both happiness and contentment. This cowl is sure to bring a smile to your face, both as you work it and then as you wear it during the long winter!”

This Intermediate level pattern is for those who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include colorwork and beading.

Bluebird is knitted with our bouncy Sincere Sock and luxurious Crema Sock yarns. Our delightfully soft, sweet, and pleasant Sincere Sock yarn is a blend of 75% Superwash Merino Wool and 25% Nylon. Three-ply for squishy softness and stitch definition! It’s a gorgeously soft yarn that’s ideal for a variety of projects! Garments, accessories, baby and kid items, blankets, and more! Sock yarn is so versatile and well-loved by many yarnies! Superwash Merino Wool + Nylon = super soft, super fine wool with nylon for added durability. No itchiness here! Machine-washable with 437 yds/400 m per skein.

Our luxurious Crema Sock is a dreamy blend of 70% Superwash Merino Wool and 30% Mulberry Silk. This base takes the dye incredibly well, which results in fabulous, hand-dyed shades. Crema Sock is a 4-ply yarn that is bouncy and long-lasting, as well as soft and squishy. With gorgeous drape, excellent structure, a soft hand, and a subtle glow, this yarn is lovely for socks, shawls, sweaters, accessories, blankets, baby items, and so much more! Truly, this yarn has it all with 350 yds/320 m per skein!
