Hello, sweet pea! This week, I have a fun, reimagined, crochet shawl pattern called Corydalis to share with you, and I’m so excited to tell you all about it!

With the help of the EFA Design Team, I created the Corydalis shawl pattern. It is an exquisite crochet shawl that’s crafted from the delicate motifs that were originally known as our Fancy Flower Coaster pattern. Each motif is a work of art, featuring petals that radiate outwards like a blossoming flower. When connected, the floral motifs create a captivating mosaic of blooms, each one perfectly complementing the next. The shawl showcases a harmonious blend of texture and pattern, with the openwork of the flowers allowing for a light and airy feel that’s perfect for any season.

Let this shawl serve as a reminder that not everything is in constant bloom. There are times for rest and times for blossoming. Be kind to yourself, and allow for these natural cycles.

This Adventurous Beginner level pattern is perfect for crocheters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Skills/concepts include double crochet, half double crochet, Magic Ring, seaming, and blocking.

Our soft and supple Blossom Fingering yarn is perfect for the Corydalis pattern! Blossom Fingering is a stunningly beautiful blend of 50% Bamboo, 30% Merino Wool, and 20% Lyocell that is draping with a subtle shimmer. The Lyocell gives this yarn a subtle glow, and various stitches will reflect the light differently. Blossom Fingering is a gorgeous, fingering-weight yarn that’s ideal for multi-seasonal use and is perfect for shawls and wraps, garments, accessories, blankets, baby items, home decor, and more! 402 yards/366 meters per skein.

Our sample shawl was made with one skein each of Colors A) Equinox, B) Calanthe, C) Ambrosial, D) Bluebonnet, E) Vernal, and F) Moon Garden. The sample shown used 1830 yds / 1673 m total.

This yarn base and this year’s colors are Limited Edition. Once they are sold out, they are gone for good, so be sure to purchase all you need for your project.

We made a video tutorial for you! Follow along, as I demonstrate how to work Rounds 7 and 8 of the motifs and how to join them.
