Hello, my lil’ snickerdoodle! Today, I have a cute-as-a-button, knitted layette set to share with you. This pattern is perfect for those moments when you want to show someone how much you care, while also celebrating new life and love! The beautiful Emery baby hat, blanket, and sweater would make such a heartfelt gift that’s sure to be treasured for years to come! I hope you’ll read on to learn all about it!
The Emery baby hat, blanket, and sweater set was designed by Jane Vanselous. When asked about this pattern, Jane said, “We have experienced so much joy lately, welcoming a new generation into our lives. It has been such a bright spot to share in the excitement of a growing family and the anticipation of what these new, little souls will bring to the world. As a maker, I feel honored to be able to pass on a little something to let them know how much they are cared for.”
“This pattern includes instructions for a simple baby hat, blanket, and sweater. All are made with easy knit and purl stitches. You may customize the number of colors that you use to make them your own. The sweater is designed for three or more buttons, but you may choose to eliminate them. Whether you make one or make them all, be proud to share them with a little one in your life!“
Emery is knitted with our Luster Worsted yarn, which is a soft, strong, wonderful yarn. A gorgeous sheen from the Lyocell adds to the appeal! Everyone who sees and feels this yarn base loves it and exclaims how beautiful it is! Shimmering and soft and ideal for sweaters, blankets, accessories, and more, this yarn is made from a blend of 50% Superwash Merino Wool and 50% Lyocell with 200 yds/183 m per 4 oz/113 g skein. Because of its next-to-skin softness and smooth feel, Luster Worsted is an amazing yarn for baby clothes and baby blankets.
Emery is shown here in two versions. Our first set of samples was knitted with colors Snow, Vintage Gray, and Rose Gold Luster Worsted yarn. The second set was knitted with Snow, Tin, and Blue Hydrangeas Luster Worsted.
