Hello, my wonderful fiber friend! I have THREE amazing treats for you this week, including two refreshed patterns, as well as a brand new yarn base that I’m VERY excited to share with you! Please keep reading to learn more.
First off is Pascal. This tank top pattern was designed by Emily Walton, and when asked about it, Emily said, “Lace yarn that’s knit with a drapey gauge is perfect for a great summer top that’s easy peasy, nice and breezy! Functional buttonholes on one side of the Pascal tank top add visual interest and allow you to customize your style. Wear them all fastened, or leave the bottom ones open for fun. There are plenty of ways to customize this tank and make it uniquely yours!”
Next is Sweet Pea. This lovely shawl was designed by Kristina Smiley. About her design, Kristina said, “The Sweet Pea shawl combines vintage elegance with a modern twist. This shawl is a simple rectangular shape and features easy-to-follow repeats. This is a great pattern for those who wish to practice crocheting lace. This shawl features a panel of lace that’s designed to resemble a field of Sweet Pea flowers and a border pattern of antique lace from the 1890s.”
For my final treat, Pascal and Sweet Pea were both made in our new Limited Edition Restore Fingering yarn, and I think you’re going to love it! Restore Fingering is a totally new, upcycled yarn. When our mill spins up luxury yarns, there are often leftover fibers. So we asked them to gather their fiber tidbits and spin them into this Limited Edition yarn base, so nothing goes to waste. Restore Fingering has gorgeous drape from the alpaca fiber, stability due to the wool, and a subtle glow thanks to the Viscose. Restore Fingering is a blend of 36% alpaca, 37% wool, and 27% Viscose with 399 yd/365 m per 3.5 oz/100 g skein.
Restore Fingering is a Limited Edition yarn, so be sure to order all you need for your project because once it’s gone, it’s gone for good!
Pascal is offered in sizes XS-3XL, and it requires two to four skeins of Restore Fingering, depending on the size selected. The sample shown here was made with Tangible Restore Fingering and is a size S that’s modeled on a 34″ (86 cm) bust with the length shortened 1.5″ (4 cm).
Sweet Pea measures 70” L x 30” W (178 cm x 76 cm), blocked and uses three skeins of Restore Fingering. The size is not easily adjustable. The sample shown here was made with Invigorate Restore Fingering.
Pascal is rated Intermediate to Advanced and is for the adventurous knitter who loves to tackle something a bit more complicated. Skills/concepts include shaping, buttonholes, and calculating rows. This pattern contains written instructions only.
Sweet Pea is an Intermediate level pattern and is for those who feel comfortable with crocheting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include special stitches, lace, and picots. This pattern contains written instructions and a video tutorial.
We made a video tutorial showing you how to crochet the Sweet Pea shawl. Take a look!
