Hello, beautiful soul! I have an amazing, knitted top pattern for you this week that is just perfect for Spring and Summer weather. Read on to find out more about it!
Panopeia was designed by Patricia Liefeld. When asked about her design, Patricia said, “When I first saw this lace pattern, I knew I had to create a top with it. This pullover is elegant yet simple. It was designed to allow you to make modifications, if desired, and can be made either as a sleeved or sleeveless version.”
“The name, Panopeia or Πανοπεια, was a Greek sea nymph, the nereid of the sea’s panorama. She could see beyond what was in front of her. Her name means “all-seeing.” Like Panopeia, I hope you see beyond the pattern and explore the possibilities of making this pullover yours. I also hope that you see beyond to a bright future, no matter where you currently are in life.”
Panopeia is shown here in our Pearlescent Fingering yarn. This single-ply yarn is unbelievably soft with a lovely drape and a shine that just won’t quit! 50% Superwash Merino Wool and 50% Mulberry Silk. When you combine these two fibers into a single-ply yarn, you get subtle differences in tone, and the colors truly appear iridescent and other-worldly! 550 yd/503 m each skein.
The Panopeia pattern is offered in nine sizes from XS to 5XL and can be knitted with two to four skeins of Pearlescent Fingering depending on the size you select. The samples shown here were made in the colors Yvonne Dahlia and Water Lilies. Both samples are shown in size Small and are modeled on a 34″ (86.5 cm) bust with 2″ (5 cm) of positive ease.
This Intermediate level pattern is for those who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include Cable Cast On, lace knitting, 3-Needle Bind Off, garment assembly, and blocking.
We made a video tutorial showing you how to complete the Cable Cast On and the k3pass stitch. Take a look!
This pattern includes written instructions only.

I really need some help! I’m doing the bind off row and it says to knit the 1st 37 sts, put in stitch holder, BO the next 60 and then work the rest in pattern, but after i put the 37 sts in the stitch holder I only have 60 stitches left, did I do something wrong?
