Hello, beautiful soul! This week, I want to share two treats with you. First, is this lovely pattern Riptide. This fun and adjustable pullover was designed by Jane Vanselous, and I hope you’ll read on to find out more!
Jane says, “Combine this boxy, drop shoulder design with the silky softness of SeaCoast Fingering cotton blend yarn for a sweater that will surely become a favorite. With so many ways to customize this sweater, you can truly make it your own.”
“Without side shaping, altering the length is simple. Adjust the sleeves to what is most comfortable to you, or eliminate them altogether for a sleeveless top. Two interchangeable stitch patterns allow you to decide where you would like to insert the lace pattern. And, if lace isn’t to your liking, make it all solid!”
“Pieces are knit separately, and joined as you go. The remaining side and sleeve seams have clearly marked selvedge stitches that will help you create a professional looking finished seam.”
Riptide is an Adventurous Beginner to Intermediate level pattern. It is for those who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. The stitches themselves are not difficult, but good pattern reading skills are necessary.
Now for the second treat! This pattern was made with our lovely SeaCoast Fingering yarn. Our SeaCoast Fingering yarn is an ideal yarn for all seasons. It is a mix of 83% soft Pima Cotton, 12% dreamy Baby Alpaca, and 5% Polyamide.
Riptide comes in a generous range of sizes based on your finished/natural bust size.
37 (39.5, 41.5, 43.5) (48, 50, 54.5) (61, 65.5, 70)” /94 (100.5, 105.5, 110.5) (122, 127, 138.5) (155, 166.5, 178) cm
It is designed to be worn with 6-10” (15-25 cm) positive ease.
The 39.5″ size sample shown here was modeled on a 34″ natural bust with 7.5” positive ease and was shortened by 1.3.”
Based on your selected size, you will need 2 (3, 3, 3) (3, 3, 4) (4, 4, 5) skeins of our SeaCoast Fingering yarn.
