Hello, my treasured friend! Our crochet pattern for you this week is our Lily Shawl, and it comes in two sizes.

Lily is an Adventurous Beginner pattern and is designed for those crocheters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. The pattern features foundation treble crochet stitches, single crochet, treble crochet, and v-stitches.

Tending the rock garden full of dark, almost black soil, my mother and I planted many flowers, each one with its own vibrant, breathtaking hue. The warm, bright rays of the sun enhanced their colors as they sway in the gentle breeze. This floral shawl design awakens these childhood memories.

The silky softness of the Pearlescent yarn as it glides through my fingers, reminds me of the softness of the flower petals I touched when my mother was not looking. The open lily floral pattern uses a simple, yet elegant, patterned combination of chain, single, and treble crochet stitches. The trio of colorful, gradient hues are separated and grounded by parallel rows of treble crochet that is reminiscent of the stems of each flower.

I hope you enjoy crocheting this garden of memories!

This lovely shawl is made with our Pearlescent Fingering yarn.

Shown in colors: Amphitrite (smaller) and Melody Dora Hues Kit (larger)

Smaller (purple) sample used 2 skeins (4 oz/ 550 yds. each).
Larger (peach) shawl used 3 skeins ((4 oz/ 550 yds. each) total.

Small sample shawl (shown in Amphitrite) used 968 yards.

Large sample shawl (shown in Melody Dora Hues Kit) used 1,403 yards total.

We have filmed a video tutorial for you showing you how to work this pattern. Have a look:

This pattern is easily customizable by adjusting the amount of foundation stitches and repeats, but it will affect yardage.

The beautiful colors just shout spring to me!
