Greetings, my sweethearts! Are you ready for a lovely advanced beginner level knitted shawl pattern?
Our pattern this week is this sumptuous Malana shawl – it’s a choose-your-own-adventure pattern!
Malana is a divine advanced beginner level knit pattern designed by Jane Vanselous. Pick from a variety of yarn weights and cable options to create a perfect shawl just for you.
We have filmed a video tutorial for you showing you how to work one of the cable options!
Have a look:
The samples shown feature our CashSilk Sock Shown in: Triton or our Enduring Worsted in: Rainy Afternoon
2 skeins of CashSilk Sock (3.5 oz/ 410 yds each skein)
or
4 skeins of Enduring Worsted (3.5 oz/ 180 yds. each)
CashSilk Sock is a dreamily soft, luxurious sock yarn with 75% superwash merino wool, 15% cashmere, 10% silk – soft, warm, cuddly, squishable and strong, with the tiniest hint of glow.
Enduring Worsted is a durable blend of 80% superwash merino wool and 20% nylon. A nice tight twist results in beautiful, defined stitches and projects that will hold up well!
We hope you enjoy this sumptuous shawl in whatever yarn base you choose. Throw it around your neck and shoulders for added warmth and style.
I appreciate you reading and if you’d love to get brand new, premium knit and crochet patterns weekly, just hop onto our email list there on the site. We list new patterns most Fridays and many are free for a limited time. I hope to see you there.

Please explain how to knit 8/8RA Cable
so fun, your site( or what it is called,) i am new at this and felt quite dumb, trying to get a message through. but everyone was so kind and happy. i feel the happiness of loving the work you do. i have been in very sad slump due to circumstances beyond my control and i lost the desire to knit. i think about it and then i found your site. the positivity of not only you and your staff, the remembering of the feeling of the yarns i love, slipping through my fingers in a way it always made me feel better. i appreciate you all, the great comments of happiness helps alot. not only is the positivity exhibited by you, but the joy of the people who are buying the yarn you do so well. thank you for caring about others, it is the ability to teach someone to be happy, productive and proud of their ability,(they never knew they had) commits the craft to be able to go on, long after we do, because one of the greatest compliments ever is, “I had a wonderful teacher.”
❤️
I Love your explanations on knitting. I have knitted on and off over the years and struggled. I came upon your you tube and was beyond excited when I watched and was like AWWW, yes ! I’m still just practicing but goal is to start a project or maybe finish socks that I have started years ago. Thank You!!!!
Hi, I am not sure if I already signed up for November’s yarn give away, therefore I signed up today. I apologize if I signed up already.
All your yarn products and patterns are so beautiful one cannot resist purchasing them, but unfortunately some of of a have to limit our hoarding.
I enjoy your e-mails, tutorials (watch them on YouTube over and over again), and live chats on Facebook. Thanks for all the leaning and fun.
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 and best of luck with your turkey. I’m not a good cook either. Nancy
