Hi there, lovely!
Our pattern this week is an ethereal, pi shawl that almost resembles a beautiful cape.
Alpenbow is a knit shawl designed by Monica Wesley and is inspired by the landscape around her home.
Have a watch! We have filmed a video tutorial for you.
The sample shown features our Allure Fingering Weight Yarn in 6 soft colors called Renewal Hues.
Allure Fingering is 100% mulberry silk. Beautifully soft with a lovely drape and subtle shimmer from the silk.Â
It is knitted flat. You’ll begin with a garter tab cast-on, and then knit back and forth through seven sections. With each section, you’ll double the number of stitches, and double the number of rows, give or take a few rows. A combination of knit and purl stitches, yarn overs, slipped stitches, and other easy stitch combinations, as well as stranded color work, is used to knit this delightful, draping shawl.
I appreciate you reading and if you’d love to get brand new, premium knit and crochet patterns weekly, just hop onto our email list there on the site. We list new patterns most Fridays and many are free for a limited time. I hope to see you there.
Talk to ya soon.
XOXOXOÂ Chandi

OMG! This SHAWL is absolutely one of my favorites! I am going to try to knit one for each of my friends…I have 2. And one for me and one for my mom and one for my stepmother. Love your enthusiasm Chandi! You are so pretty…Hugs!
Finished the knitting and at the bind off. Is it best to bind off plain or extra stretchy?
