Greetings, Gorgeous.
Spring has sprung and we have a beautiful new shawl for you!
Brunnera Knit Shawl by Jane Vanselous
This shawl, like its namesake, does not require an excessive amount of attention. It would be a great option for a beginner knitter who is ready to expand his/her skills.
The various stitch patterns catch the light differently due to the new Blossom Fingering yarn we used, which has a subtle sheen!
Have a watch! We have filmed a video tutorial for you of some of the lacework.
The sample shown features our brand new Blossom Fingering Weight Yarn in Plant a Dream (A), Fresh Breeze (B), Keep the Light (C), Seeds of Hope (D)
This brand new yarn provides a sheen that creates a pretty effect when it catches the light. It’s a blend of draping bamboo, soft merino wool and shimmering tencel.
If you’re on IG, be sure to post if you make this so we can see! #brunnerashawl #expressionfiberarts
I appreciate you reading and if you’d love to get brand new, premium knit and crochet patterns weekly, just hop onto our email list there on the site. We list new patterns most Fridays and many are free for a limited time. I hope to see you there.
Talk to ya soon.
XOXOXO Chandi
Beautiful project! This looks like a keeper!
If you see extra traffic on your website, it’s my fault and folks like me. I love looking at the inspiration photos and the subsequent yarn colors. NOW, even more so! I just looked at the fingering yarn (my favorite) again and felt my shoulders relax. You, your emails, your blog and your website are the oases in this time of isolation. Many, many thanks to you and your team. 😁❤️😃
I’m working on this now and enjoying the pattern very much! Not too difficult for my skill level (which is beginner trying to learn lace) and I can’t wait for the challenge! And, by the way, the Blossom Fingering yarn is beau-it-full!!! Buttery and shiny and flowing off my needles. Love, love, feeling the love!!!
I am not able to see the tutorial here. Is there somewhere else I can find the lace tutorial?
Thank you.
We have updated it for you. It should be there now. If not, you can go to this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0KnxjAShJ4&feature=emb_title
je suis en train de faire ce modele mais les bords roulent je ne sais pas si c est normal j aimerais un truc pour que le bord qui est au point riz ne roule pas , Merci
Hi Brigitte, thank you for your message. I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling with the Brunnera edge rolling. You have 3 options to get the edge to stop rolling.
a) I think the rolling should block out. So when you wet block it after you’re done and pin down your edges that should stop.
b) If you’re still concerned and don’t think it will block out you can add more stitches to your seed stitch edge. But that will mean to start your project over.
c) If you’re unhappy with the seed stitch edge you could also substitute it with a garter stitch edge, which is known to roll less.
I hope this is helpful and answered your question. Have a wonderful day! 💕
