Hello- will you be doing a tutorial on the Edison pattern?
We may be able to do that in the future. ❤️
I am currently working the Esison sweater and just realized I am going to have a problem. Although size large would meet my measurements perfectly, I decided to make XL (I like my sweaters to fit loosely), however, not that I am ready to start the body, I thought about the arm measurements and realized the XL will be too tight for my arms. 2X seems like better fit for my arms, but too big for my body. Any suggestions on how to work more stitches in the arms without adding more to the body? Worse case scenario, I guess I can just make the 2X.
Hi Donna, thanks for your question. I’m happy to help.
I’d work the XL size as planned and then once you finish round 50 of the XL yoke continue with the increase as written in size 2XL but only on the sleeves not on the body. Keep the body stitches at 100 for front and back while increasing the sleeves to 68 sts (that’s for size 2XL). This way your sleeves will be bigger while your body size will stay at XL.
I hope this makes sense. Please, let me know if you have further questions. Have a nice week! – Johanna 💕
Do you have a tip for how to not twist your chain to begin crocheting the neck area of the Edison sweater. I would like a tutorial for this sweater pattern also.
I love your site.
Thanks! That sounds perfect!!!

Yes, definitely just double check that your chain is untwisted before beginning. And then after working a few rounds, confirm all is well before moving on. 🙂
I am a new Knitter and i just downloaded the “Unending Love Baby Blanket”. I was reading over the pattern and was curious what the * refers to. I know its probably obvious but this is my first pattern and I just want to make sure I follow it to a T. Thanks, Judy
The asterisk usually means to repeat a certain section of the pattern. I hope this helps. 🙂
Chandi,
Once you reach the armpit section, so row one of the body, do you put single crochet in the 8 chains you made when you go from round 2-6 in the body section? I am so lost, I have dyslexia and a video tutorial would be ideal. my husband reads the patterns to me but, we are both stumped. Any help or explanation would be much appreciated.
Gina, which size are you making?
would love to buy this pattern as i am a newbie in crocheting…but would have loved a tutorial ….it would really be excellent.
How do you get the change in colors that doesn’t look like stripes. The two row alternate looks like stripes but yours looks wavy?
Hi Pam, thank you for your comment. Have you finished working all 8 rows of the transition yet? It’ll blend more after having all transitions rows done. Alternatively if you think the transition between A & B is too harsh you can also check if the other end of color B is closer to color A and do the transition with that end instead.
I hope this makes sense and is helpful!
Have a great weekend! – Johanna 🥰
