Hey, lovely!
I hope you are well today. Thanks for stopping by to learn how to drop stitches in your knitting and make this gorgeous Drift Cardi pattern by Kristina Smiley.
Eek!
Nothing to fear! You are going to love this technique and want to drop ALLLL the stitches. Haha.
Have a watch:
See? I told you it was fabulously easy.
You can grab this Drift Cardi pattern here.
We used 1 Seashell Hues yarn kit to make this but any fingering weight yarn you love will do the trick. Even lace or sport would be divine.
I hope the tutorial is helpful and that the next time you come across dropped stitches in a pattern, you will be confident and know exactly what to do. Woop!
Have a lovely day!

“Just imagine becoming the way you used to be as a very young child, before you understood the meaning of any word, before opinions took over your mind. The real you is loving, joyful, and free. The real you is just like a flower, just like the wind, just like the ocean, just like the sun.” Don Miguel Ruiz
You just made this new stitch look like so much fun! Thank you
Thanks! Great video to make it look so simple! Great effect in the garment, too! Can I ask if the edge (ends) are enough to support or if a firmer edge can be used instead (like 2 or 3 stitches)? I’m just wondering if that will cause the edges to draw up?
I’m not sure. You can certainly give it a shot. ❤️
Hi! How I be able to join as member with Chandi’s. ???

Hi Juliette! Please write us here: https://www.expressionfiberarts.com/contact-us/ and we would be more than happy to help you. Thanks!
Thank you for this tutorial!! I just recently purchased the pattern and since I was unable to find the Sea Shell hues kit, I purchased different colors. By any chance do you have a video explaining how to alternate the colors in order to accomplish the seamless color blend that was achieved in your pattern? I hope what I am trying to say makes sense…..lol….my apologies if it doesn’t. Btw, I love everything that you do!!!
Hi Tara,
thank you for your comment. I’m not a 100% sure that I know what you mean but I’m attaching our tutorial on how to alternate skeins below for you: https://youtu.be/P7mIozVya6k
I hope this is helpful. Please, let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Have wonderful day. 💕
