Expression Fiber Arts allows me to express (😊) my creativity! I love how the photos of your yarns (your works of art)
are paired with objects that bring the yarns to life. Stunning, vibrant fibers!
Hi Chandi I really wanna do this shawl but the written pattern instructions is soooo confusing. Is there anyway you can do a full video tutorial on this shawl???
Hi Raheleh! Thanks for the suggestion! That is definitely something we will consider for the future. If you are having trouble with the pattern feel free to contact the pattern designer, Emily. Here is the link https://www.ravelry.com/designers/emily-walton
Hi Chandi-
I am about to knit a crescent shawl, something I have not done before. I know that many people complain that the garter tab cast on results in a “hump” at the top of the shawl, and indeed I have seen this in a lot of the project photos on Ravelry. I watched your garter tab tutorial and can see that your crescent Etude no 1 shawl does not have that unsightly problem. I would very much appreciate knowing how you avoided it.
Thanks a lot!
Hi Jill,
thank you for your question. Blocking should usually take care of this issue. If you’re still worried about it, I have seen a project on Ravelry (https://www.ravelry.com/projects/Ilovepearls/etude-no-1) where the knitter went down 2 needle sizes (US 3) for the garter tab CO itself and then switched to the US 5 when starting the body of the shawl. Hopefully this will help you! 🙂
Thanks, Johanna, for the tip and the link 😊
