The time has come… to finally learn how to crochet a baby blanket. You know you want to! You can DO it.
This is an easy one. It looks much more complex than it actually is. It’s essentially a 2-row repeat.
Yep. Easy, I say! Easy!
Let’s have a watch on how it’s done:
.
(The video shows a card pattern but those are no longer available. It is available only as a downloadable PDF file now.)
See there? Nothing too complicated. You’ll be whipping these out right and left.
If you want to download the PDF and have all this in writing, you can do that here.
Have a grand time crocheting this blanket! You can find more details and info here.
Enjoy your day!

Hello Chandi,
You are so cool. Thank you for this video. I started learning crochet first. I am a big cross stitch person. I had such a hard time with only one needle in hand. I then went to knitting and have been doing okay. However watching this video and seeing that baby blanket and how easy it really is. I need to pull out some yarn and needle and get back to learning crochet. I have seen your other videos and I love your teaching technique you make it fun and easy to learn. Thanks for all that you do!
Dear chandi
Thank you so much for the lovely surprise worsted yarn And the teal bag love it so much
You are the best
Love Lynda
Hey Chand, I keep trying to sign up for your blog updates but I don’t receive the email link to confirm, and I have checked my junk folders repeated the check that it isn’t in there too. Please help.
Anne, you can sign up here if you like: expressionfiberarts.com 🙂
Hi Chandi,
Thanks for all the free patterns and sharing your pretty yarn with us! 🙂
I’m having such a hard time with getting the last two stitches on the end. I keep ending up with only one. Then that side looks like it is increasing instead of having a straight side. I don’t put a double in the first like it say and then go to the next and do doubles all the way across.
I don’t know why I keep runnign into trouble like this too. I tried to correct it over and over, only to end up with a problem again. Eventually I got it and finished a blanket but when I tried doing another blanket right after that, I had the same problem again. I was frustrated because I crocet a lot and I just can’t for the life of me figure out why I keep having this problem. When it works its beautiful..when it doesn’t …I wonder when I stopped knowing how to crocet.
Can you show me how to crochet a purse that starts at the bottom and works up in a circular pattern. Thanks Donna
IDEA ALERT!! Hey Chandi, I’m in the market for a yarn swift and I’d love to see what you recommend and see you demonstrating one for me. I keep thinking the yarn will get twisted and tangled. Is that true? If that happens, then what? Also…what size should I get? Will the yarn snag on the wood if I go cheap? Is there a cheap wood brand I should avoid? Is there a good quality swift that has been relied on for years and years that I should know about? Please help!! I’ve been buying up your good yarn but the two team winding is making my kids crazy…LOL. I’ve tasked them with buying me the yarn swift of my choice for Mothers day..so please help soon <3
With much love,
Sandra
Sandra, I don’t recommend any specific ones, but you can see me demonstrate one here: https://blog.expressionfiberarts.com/2012/03/04/how-to-wind-a-center-pull-ball-with-your-hands/ I love my Stanwood I got on amazon and it was cheap and not fancy at all. No need to go wild with a fancy one unless you really want to. I have never had any snagging issues. 🙂 Chandi
