So I’m digging through a room full of yarn and wool!! I have about 50 lbs of alpaca, tons of merino, corriedale and BFL raw fleeces, as well as tons of roving and scads of yarn and more yarn. And batts! Oh, it’s glorious!

I’m going to get this all dyed and bundled and listed in the shop little by little for you. Here’s just a tiny taste of the goodness to come:

Needless to say, I am in heaven! Is there anything more delightful than yarn and wool? Not many things.

On a side note, my sis and I made our own semi-homemade face cream!  My skin is horrendously dry these days, and maybe it’s because I’ve moved to a drier climate or maybe because my skin is just changing. I am 30 now after all. Maybe both.

But we took a basic, all natural baby lotion, some anti aging serum, coconut cream (the can will say coconut milk, but you just want the solid part, not the watery part), coconut oil and emu oil and mixed it all together with an electric mixer. I’m going to try mixing in plain ol’ butter as well, for a night cream and a tanning cream. It’s super creamy and smells like coconuts! So yum. And makes the skin so moist and soft.

AND! My sis suggested that perhaps using soaps and cleansers was drying our skin out so we are going to try a method I found online, which is even safe for acne-prone skin like ours: Apply castor oil to the face, and steam/massage with a warm wash cloth. This removes makeup and cleanses the pores without stripping it of its natural oils. We’ll see how it goes!

I’m off to try it!
