1. You Are Amazing 2. New Items! 3. Random Updates

Say hi to Al, my new owl finger puppet. More on him soon… but first!

I have to thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

I’m sitting here in my new studio, drinking my coffee, listening to the hot water pipes creak and complain and feeling the chill creeping in from the cool 32 degrees we’ve got going on outside.

It’s 8 am and just getting light outside… the sky is gray and dull and work traffic is skittering by.

I have been incredibly “anxious” to get a blog post written for you…

To be honest I allowed myself to slip into “work mode” […]

Finally…the time has come!

I know it’s been awhile since I last posted, but I’m back now and ready to go!

The past month has been a time of reflection, change and excitement for me.

1. I quit my job. I was working for our local borough in a happy, fun department with amazing people. But I have never been, nor will ever be the type to work a job. At least not for long. It must be in my blood, as my dad and many other family members have entrepreneurial spirits. And after owning a business for 6 years during my twenties, it’s just hard […]

New Yarn, Gradient Shades and Club Opening Soon

So I’m delighted to announce that my shop is almost empty. Yikes! This is a good thing as it means I’ve been selling yarn and fiber like crazy recently. Several hundred skeins are being packaged and shipped this week.

As such, I wanted to give you an update with where I’m at stock-wise and what you can expect in the coming weeks/months.

1. Almost all of the Elements Collection yarn has sold out. I have only a few shades left (5, I think). Those will not be continued, but will be replaced with new colors (I so love to create new shades!) […]

“We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men; and among those fibers, as sympathetic threads, our actions run as causes, and they come back to us as effects.” -Herman Melville

I hope you’re enjoying your week! I know I am.

I spent Monday making these thank you cards and other goodies to go in your orders, along with a card on how to connect with me. SO!

I thought I’d do a quickie post for you as well on ways for you to connect with me, so you can keep a close tab on […]

Change is in the Air!

“Everything flows, nothing stays still.”-Heraclitus

There is something so comforting about things staying the same. What is it? It makes us feel safe and warm and protected somehow. Like everything’s okay. But inevitably, things change and shift and flow. And in truth, that is the way it should be. We wouldn’t want to stop the ebb and flow of life; the endless springs and summers and falls and winters of life, both literally and figuratively.

And I’m learning to throw my hands in the air and embrace whatever may be coming, even though I may not know what that is.

So on the […]

It Appears I’ll Never Get Finished

One of the things that has always bugged me about knitting is that I’m never done. I’m the type of person who thrives on accomplishment. I get my kicks from achievement.

So I would start a project with all the glee and gusto in the world, knit as fast as possible, get bored halfway through, muster up my strength and continue knitting, and FINALLY finish. And what a glorious feeling that would be! I would revel in that delicious state for about, OH… two minutes.

Until the bug to start another project hit me and I would be off to start the […]

Happy Thanksgiving!

To those of you in the US, I wish you a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving Day!

We all have so many things to be thankful for.

I so appreciate all of you who read my blog and have purchased yarn or fiber from me. I’m grateful for the emails I receive thanking me for my service and products. They really mean a great deal to me.

I believe that practicing gratitude on a daily basis can literally transform a life. I have experienced it first-hand. And now for an apropos quote:

“If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, “thank […]

Today I Threw Caution To The Wind…And Realized My Mulberry Hat Wasn’t Finished.

Today I threw caution to the wind.

I slipped into that “non-thinking” state where all over-analyzing and paralysis cannot exist, and… bought a bunch of stuff.

Yes, stuff.

It felt as if time stood still and I hovered near a precipice of decision. Act now. That was all I knew.

1. I decided on a name for my new, super-secret  business I’m formulating. And it’s pretty awesome.

2. I ordered yarn directly from a factory for my yarn business, Expression Fiber Arts. They had previously sent samples of said yarn to me, free of charge, since I had expressed interest in purchasing from them. I […]
