I think if the sun could crochet, it would make something bright and warm and delicious and definitely yellow!

Maybe something like these crocheted yellow boot toppers!

I made these for my wonderful niece, Diana.

Yarn: 2 skeins of my bulky wt wool in color, Sunshine.

I bundled these up in burlap and tied with some of the yarn remnants instead of using wrapping paper:

Due to the “lumpy bumpy” nature of the yarn, the edges turn out uneven, which I think is super cool! Perfect is so annoying. 😀

So to make these little beauties for yourself, or your daughter, or niece or granddaughter, just follow these instructions!

Crochet Hook: US Size K

Ch 21. Turn.

Row 1: Sk 1 ch and sc in each ch across. Turn.  – 20 sc

Row 2: Ch 1. Sc in each st across, going only into the back loop of each st. Turn.  – 20 sc

Repeat Row 2 until the topper wraps comfortably around your calf (I worked a total of 26 rows).

Close up the topper, forming a tube, by slip stitching the final row to the first row all the way across. You do this by holding the final row up next to the first row, and slip stitching in each set of stitches across.

This makes any boring boot supah cute and stylin’!

I hope you enjoy!  Let me know your thoughts!
