This Easy Knitted Leg Warmer pattern is too cute!!

You’ll remember from a previous post, they used to be a muted heather tan color and I dyed them charcoal gray.

One of the best decisions ever! I wear mainly blacks and grays instead of tans and browns (a total flip flop from a few years ago) and so these match much better.

The pattern is beyond easy. Just several inches of ribbing, then stockinette stitch, then finish with ribbing. Boom. Done. Easy.

UPDATE: By request, here is a rough pattern of these leg warmers:

Needle Size: US 6 (or size to get gauge!)
Gauge:  5 st/in
Yarn: Sport wt wool

•CO 51 st and join for working in the round, being careful to not twist your stitches.
•Work 2×1 rib around (K2, P1). Continue working this ribbing for 2.5 inches (from the CO edge.)
•Work stockinette stitch (knit every stitch every row) for 6 inches. The leg warmer will be 8.5 inches long at this point.
•Repeat the ribbing section (K2, P1) for 2.5 inches. Bind off, using a stretchy bind off, like the “Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off.”

Total length of the leg warmer: 11 inches.

I always hesitate to wear leg warmers, because they seem so… 80’s? Ballerina? Nothing wrong with the 80’s or ballerinas, but I don’t want to look silly in public is all.

But I have to say, these are so darn cute that I can’t help myself. I’m wildly in love with them!

My boo took some pictures of me yesterday wearing them (he’s just awesome like that):

Oh, yeah, and I made the hat too. Another simple pattern I made up, with black wool yarn and then I pinned a gray flower on it:

Happy happy!!

I’m still in a gray mood! Still knitting on my Honey Cowl. And feeling much better than I was a few days ago! My lungs are clearing up, I have my voice back and I feel incredible. YAY for health!!!

Have a fabulous weekend and try to get some knitting time in!!!
